Instead of storing all the data in a black box that gets either lost or destroyed during a plane crash, why not transmit the data to a ground-based server via ATG or starlink? The data is mostly telemetry, so cost is not a problem, you could literally store all the data from every plane in a laptop somewhere in Arizona. Bonus: because the data doesn't need to fit in a tiny ass crashproof box, you could record a lot more data.
