>>1514960this is old as the hills. Kids were sent to military schools or reform schools over a century ago when the parents were unable to properly raise them. Going back even further, it wasn't a problem for the working class and poor - they had their kids out working or, more likely, working around the farm as soon as they could walk.We have child labor laws now. We have (or had) public schools, instead of workhouses. The right has been trying to destroy public schooling since the 1960s.
