>Attorneys for Dulce Consuelo Diaz Morales had presented a Maryland birth certificate and other documents as proof of her U.S. citizenship.

https://archive.is/2026.06.02-103654/https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2026/06/02/woman-held-by-ice-25-days-despite-us-citizenship-claim-gets-passport/

>The Maryland woman arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in December and held for 25 days despite offering proof of citizenship has been issued a U.S. passport and removal proceedings against her in immigration court have been halted, her lawyers said in a statement Monday.
>>

Doesn't sound very American to me.
>>
>>1517870
Scotus will overturn birthright citizenship soon, don't worry.
>>
To date over 10000 us citizens have been deported or held in detention. This is a scare tactic to get Latinx to flee the country
>>
Republicans really don't want the Latino vote do they? That sucks because now they lost out on two of the largest interest groups in this country, and the one currently growing the fastest.

Their time is coming to a close and that's why they are so desperate to end voting rights and ability.
>>
>>1517887
>Republicans really don't want the Latino vote do they?
Republicans are Nazis scumbagsm. This land belongs to chicano and there should be no restrictions on Chicanos. It should be white and black people that have to leave.
>>
I bet racist Republicans would probably lone up to fuck her just because she has a birth pussy and not even pay attention to the fact that she is Latinx, the racist hypocrites
>>
>>1517887
>Republicans really don't want the Latino vote do they?
Right, just like they don't want the poor vote by cutting social programs. Bitch, how badly Republicans abuse a community has no bearing on how stupid that community is and all Republicans care about is the stupid vote.
>>
>>1517888
This is the post of an anon who is chronically online.
>>
>>1517904
Remember: taxes are passed to the consumer.
Therefore social programs rob the poor.
>>
>>1518027
1. We pay for our social programs with debt, not taxes. (debt also robs the poor, but that's why functional countries offset that shit with social programs as opposed to wars in the Middle East)
2. Taxes only get passed onto the consumer when you tax economic activity, which is why shit like sales taxes and tariffs are bad.
3.
>actually arguing against social programs
4. Republicans are for regressive tax systems literally designed to rob the poor

Please elaborate. Explain how lowering taxes for everyone robs the poor.

I explained in point 1. Learn2read.
>>
>>1518064
It doesn't explain shit. You just made a bullshit claim about debt robbing the poor. How? Just because you don't get free healthcare or education does not = being robbed. Those are benefits, not rights.
>>
>>1518065
whether you're pretending to be retarded or you're actually retarded, you lose either way
>>
>>1518065
If I stood outside your house and said you owed me $500 a month or else something bad would happen to you, what would you call that?
Cuz anywhere else that’s extortion, but here we call it “health insurance”
>>
>>1518068
Nobody is going to put you in jail for refusing to pay for health insurance.
The government will put you in jail for refusing to pay taxes.
>>
>>1518065
>How?
Let me try and put this in terms you might understand. You have one Charizard card. It's worth $100. The Pokemon Company then prints 99 more. That card is now worth $1. Inflation reduces relative purchasing power. Paying off debt via printing drives inflation. Therefore debt reduces relative purchasing power. The government taking on debt reduces people's wealth.

>Those are benefits, not rights.
You can still rob someone by taking away their benefits. If I stole your identity and got access to your social security payments, you'd still fucking call that theft, even though you don't have a right to that money, dumbass boomer.
>>
>>1518047
Taxes apply nearly explicitly to economic activity though. So, you're saying you agree, I guess?
What you've failed to realize is that we're a society of consumers. So, income tax, social security, tariffs, property taxes, and nearly all taxes are passed to the consumer, which is like 95% of the population.
This is why raising taxes, as seen on the coasts, does nothing but cause inflation and higher cost of living.
Sorry if this is higher order thinking than you're used to.
In summary, I'd be all for taxing the rich, if I wasn't paying their taxes.
>>
>>1518069
If you don’t have health insurance, you figure out the wonders of having to dig yourself out of being 30k in medical debt if you ever break a bone or your appendix bursts
>>
>>1518072
Why wouldn't you have health insurance?
You'd have to be the laziest fucking hobo unwilling to fill out paperwork not to have it in the US.
>>
>>1518071
>Taxes apply nearly explicitly to economic activity though.
Sure, setting aside death taxes, property taxes, wealth taxes, capital gains taxes, income taxes, gift taxes, taxes on gambling winnings, etc. Dumbass.
>>
>>1518073
It costs $400/month for a healthy young man to have health insurance in the US.
>>
>>1518073
It really is amazing how strongly right wingers associate poverty with moral failings and wealth with moral virtues despite how few of them are well-off.

Genuinely an ideology built on self-hatred. It's why they're always voting against their own interests.
>>
>>1518074
>Income tax isn't related to economic activity
>Capital gains. Stonks aren't economic activity.
OK we've got a tard here. There's no convicing someone so retarded that they believe that income tax (tax on our work) isn't related to economic activity.
Property taxes are as well, since renters pay proPerty taxes.
The problem is you think in one fucking dimension and it comes to greed and jealousy. And you're too fucking stupid to think through the rest. You can't fix stupid, so I give.
You win from being an asinine brickwall.
>>
>>1518071
>income tax i passed on to the consumer
Ah yes, I totally offset the taxes I paid on my income by passing it on to my employer. I just upped my pay to cover that shit.

Are you mentally ill?
>>
>>1518076
Indeed. That's why right wingers created the term "socioeconomic factors" to explain away bad behavior.
What jerks.
Has conversing with liggerals ever gone as expected? You're all atheist poopdicked logicians, except when it comes to actually having to think.
Liggeralism is a cult of mantric repetition resistant to attack by logic
>>
>>1518078
>Ah yes, I totally offset the taxes I paid on my income by passing it on to my employer. I just upped my pay to cover that shit.
Jobs aren't economic activity, huh?
Income tax isn't robbing the workers?
Interesting thought. Perhaps you're trying to hard to cope here so you're twisting words to resist how wrong you could be?
You've attacked one point, so I'll assume you agree with the rest of what I've said, and you're fine with passing taxes on to poor consumers.
>>
>>1518079
you sure love embarrassing yourself, forced meme shill anon
>>
>>1518077
>Income tax isn't related to economic activity
Not directly, no, unless you're expanding economic activity to mean all movement of money which is obviously not what I meant since I included fucking tariffs.

Allow me to rephrase the claim, since you're mentally ill. Taxes only get passed onto the consumer when leveraged on someone setting a price for a good or service as a part of conduct involved in the immediate exchange of a good or service such that the tax can be both be tied to a specific exchange and be dependent on the scale of the exchange.

Income taxes just look at your fucking income, not what you did to get that income if anything. They are not a direct tax on economic activity cause nothing requires that income be connected to the fucking economy. The movement of money and the movement of goods and services are not the same thing.
>>
>>1518080
>Jobs aren't economic activity, huh?
Definitionally no. Providing work for someone else is economic activity. Having a job is not the same thing as doing work for someone else. Plenty of people are self-employed and plenty of jobs involve a lot of sitting on your ass doing nothing.

You can be required to create economic activity as part of a job, but the job is not itself the economic activity.

>>1518079
I'm sure this intended to be a gotcha, but you really just come across as not understanding the argument. I couldn't make you look any stupider than you're making yourself look.
>>
>>1518082
>My employer pays me less because of taxes.
>My income isn't affected
Well now. Take a moment and consider what you've read. Keep in mind, I don't need you to admit you're wrong. You can keep that part to yourself.
>>
>>1518080
>Income tax isn't robbing the workers?
Why would it be robbing workers? Clearly they just pass that shit on like you said. Workers aren't the consumer. Their employer is.
>>
>>1518086
>My employer pays me less because of taxes.
>My income isn't affected
Walk me through how a tax on my income makes my employer pay me less?
>>
>>1518088
You're isolating things that shouldn't be isolated here and that's why you don't understand.
Thinking in one dimension got you into this mess.
>>
>>1518082
>Not directly, no, unless you're expanding economic activity to mean all movement of money which is obviously not what I meant since I included fucking tariffs.
Tariffs are included. And movement of money is economic activity, as is movement of goods and providing services.
What do you believe economic activity to actually consist of?

So, name one common thing that money is usually moved about for in a capitalist system that doesn't fit that description.
And we're off point here. You're nitpicking looking desperately to score a point. You've shut your brain down. You're thinking of a mantra to save you and one isn't coming to mind so you're trying to pick at definitions.
>Define real economic activity!!!
Turn on your brain and digest a bit.
>>
>>1518099
>So, name one common thing that money is usually moved about for in a capitalist system that doesn't fit that description.
Bro has actually never heard the phrase "real economy" or wondered what it meant or was in contrast to.
>>
>>1518099
Ask me how I know you're poor as fuck.
>>
>>1518096
No, follow the chain. You've misunderstood, again.
There's no isolation between you and your employer when it comes to taxation.
You pay income taxes. Your employer pays income taxes (or corporate taxes).
You are the same and equal. If your employer pays less taxes, your employer has more money to pay you in theory whether or not the employer would is another story. However, if if production was localized instead of willingly outsourced, perhaps you could unionize and demand higher wages.
And go ahead and keep picking.
>>
>>1518101
I'm not fighting for communism.
>>1518100
Bro is fighting so hard not to believe that taxes are a net negative. It's literally a fucking bill.
>>
>>1518068
>If I stood outside your house and said you owed me $500 a month or else something bad would happen to you, what would you call that?
I would call that someone that's about to get shot. Which is why your analogy sucks dick. 1) The government isn't forcing people to buy health insurance, and 2) what the fuck does this have to do with Republicans lowering taxes?

>>1518070
>Let me try and put this in terms you might understand. You have one Charizard card. It's worth $100. The Pokemon Company then prints 99 more. That card is now worth $1. Inflation reduces relative purchasing power. Paying off debt via printing drives inflation. Therefore debt reduces relative purchasing power. The government taking on debt reduces people's wealth.
...aaand this is not a Republican policy. Last I checked, Biden was the one who made inflation go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTT.

>You can still rob someone by taking away their benefits.
>The Republicans are stealing from the poor!
>How?
>uh.... They're taking away all our free shit!
Great argument.

> If I stole your identity and got access to your social security payments, you'd still fucking call that theft,
FROM the government. I still get those benefits (in theory, don't get me started on how much of a scam SS is) when the fucker gets caught.

None of this, by the way, relates to what I asked earlier. How the fuck do Republicans lowering taxes for everyone = robbing the poor? I must've missed the part where that included stealing social security checks from random people.
>>
>>1518105
If you don’t have health insurance, you spend your life digging yourself out of medical debt the moment you wish you had it.

*Anymore
*1 Unless you live in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, D.C.
2) what the fuck does this have to do with Republicans lowering taxes?
Healthcare is the US government's biggest expense, and most of these faggots probably work indirectly for an investment firm which holds stock in United Healthcare or something.
There's no other reason aside from lack of research to conclude that more stolen money is an answer to the problem
>>
>>1518106
Why wouldn't you have health insurance though?
Did you not apply for Medicaid, or ACA?
Whose fault is it you're that lazy?
>>
>>1518106
You're not entitled to free fucking healthcare. That is not a right in America. So your bullshit argument of Republicans robbing the poor is exactly that. Maybe stop eating fast food and make better life decisions instead of expecting taxpayers to bail your fat ass out.

The point was you don't know what economic means or what the real economy is and you challenged me to find the existence of transactions of a kind you claim to have made millions off of. You might as well simultaneously claim to be the King of England and that England doesn't exist.

I know you're a broke bitch because the word "finance" is a fucking foreign concept to you and you have the gall to act like you're a millionaire despite that.

You have repeatedly outed yourself as a blatantly ignorant fuckwad and if you had an ounce of shame and an ounce of perspective from having the first idea of what you're talking about, you'd have killed yourself half the thread ago.

You aren't a hotshot crypto trader. >>
>>1518164
How many times have I fallen for this routine? A few. Might as well do it again.
The point is that consumers pay taxes. Therefore raising taxes on billionaires is an additional tax on consumers.
Just as raising taxes on property owners is paid for by renters of property.
It's extremely simple.
Liggerals think taxes are a solution to all that ails and it's annoying. If you don't like billionaires, regulate them to death using the power of the government which extends beyond punitive taxation schemes.
>>
>>1518168
So what did you mean by

Ah yes, cause all billionaires have customers they can pass costs off onto and all prices can be increased infinitely without a reduction in demand.

>>
>>1518179

>>
>>1518179
this is some next level knobslobbing
>>
>>1518180
Possibly. As something that doesn't exist in reality it's hard to say.
However, it is correct that taxes are a net negative and affect consumers, just like tariffs.
Using the most basic example possible again, if property taxes go up, your rent will likely increase. Can we agree on this part at least?
So it should follow that pricing is increased to account for taxation. So when I purchase a Coke, the price of Coke's expected Taxes is included in the price (and I get to pay sales taxes too).
>>
>>1518180
>Do you believe if billionaires paid zero in taxes, consumers would receive cheaper goods and services?
NTA, yes. Lower taxes allows more companies to enter the market, which increases competition, which decreases costs. See Donald Trump's 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act for more details.
>>
>>1518184
By who? I'm not advocating for billionaires. I'm saying that raising taxes on billionaires isn't a solution as taxes are passed to the consumer.
Raising taxes has zero effect as a punitive measure.

And to add to that, taxes are generally funneled to billionaires to provide social services, such as healthcare which the liggerals usually want more money for to fix a problem that wasn't caused by too little money, but by government subsidies (ACA) and not enough regulation of the insurance and healthcare industries.
>>
>>1518190
No, liggerals are hella mad and confused at this point.
