Anonymous Trump says ‘I love the inflati(...) 06/10/26(Wed)13:56:39 No. 1519019 https://www.cnbc.com/2026/06/10/trump-inflation-cpi-iran-oil.html President Donald Trump on Wednesday said, “I love the inflation” after being asked if he was concerned about new consumer price index data that showed the annual inflation rate at 4.2%, a three-year high. Trump, speaking with reporters in the Oval Office, also predicted that inflation is “going to come down like a rock” after the United States’ war against Iran is over. The president linked that prediction to a confusing statement about the U.S. “taking” oil and ships. “No, I love it, the numbers were great,” Trump said when a reporter asked him about the CPI number issued earlier in the morning by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. “You know what I really love? I love the inflation. You know why?” Trump said. “Because as soon as this war is over, you know I can say it now ... you know we’ve been taking out millions of barrels of oil.” “Nobody knows it. You know who doesn’t know about it? Iran, until right now,” Trump said. “We took out the other night, 22 ships, late at night, with no lights, because they don’t have any radar, because we blasted the crap out of it,” the president said. “That’s why oil is at $85 a barrel.” “We’ve been taking out millions of barrels of oil, millions of barrels every night,” Trump said. >>
Anonymous 06/10/26(Wed)13:57:41 No. 1519020 >>1519019 It was not immediately clear what Trump meant by “taking out” oil and ships, and how that related to consumer prices. CNBC has requested comment from the White House and the Department of Energy. Energy Secretary Chris Wright, who was testifying at a congressional hearing on Wednesday, said that he was not aware of the U.S. taking millions of barrels out of Iran, the Reuters news agency reported. Wright said the U.S. military had helped some oil tankers transit the Straight of Hormuz, the waterway between Iran and Oman, and that oil traffic has risen “very meaningfully” through the strait in the past week, Reuters reported. While the CPI on Wednesday showed annual inflation at a three-year high, core inflation, which excludes the cost of food and energy, was at 2.9% annually. That is in line with forecasts by economists. But Trump’s comments on inflation come as his fellow Republicans fear that consumer angst over rising prices will hurt the chances of GOP lawmakers retaining their slim majorities in both chambers of Congress in November’s elections. Trump in May raised eyebrows when he told reporters, “I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation” as he argued that his focus in the war on Iran was ensuring that the Islamic Republic does not obtain a nuclear weapon. Several Democrats quickly posted a video of Trump’s latest comments on inflation on social media. “People can’t afford to feed their families. Your struggle is a joke to him,” wrote Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker on X, Sen. Andy Kim, a New Jersey Democrat, also tweeted the video, with the message: ” ‘I love the inflation’ - Donald Trump.” Democratic strategist Jon Cooper, in his own X post on the video, said, “The ads write themselves.”>>

Anonymous 06/11/26(Thu)19:25:08 No. 1519146 Amazing how powerful the conservative biased media is to bury this. If Biden said this, the media would be repeating it 24/7. Since it's trump and the media is fully controlled by conservatives, it's already gone. >>

Anonymous 06/13/26(Sat)14:36:46 No. 1519363 >>1519228 Sorry for the long note here, just information to consider. Most first world countries aim for a 2% inflation rate? Is 4% America's federal target inflation rate? If so the statement is correct, the rate is good. Most countries manage their inflation rate by adjusting their daily interest rate (floating/bank rate) so consumers pay roughly double what inflation is, just to keep inflation in-check. Note, mortgage rate are almost always cheaper as they are determined by level of risk posed by that consumer. At times of desired growth the federal interest rate is lowered to make the cost of borrowing money more attractive to spur the growth which can cause inflation if not managed by the feds right. If federal rate has already been lowered to drive economic growth, what would be the regular inflation rate the feds are trying to achieve (spoiler alert - it would higher than the current rate). With hearing about the high cost of living and the inability for consumers to earn enough to meet their current needs, I am quite sure most American consumers would not want to be paying an 8% floating/bank rate. With all that information I question how is 4.3% a good rate? Just my observation>>
Anonymous 06/14/26(Sun)08:05:16 No. 1519427 >>1519363 4.2% is slightly out of range of normally good. No one complained when inflation was sustained at 8-12% for two years under Biden, so, just like gas prices, I'll assume no one complaining really cares about inflation.>>

Because the day maga builds an argument on facts is the day maga makes a woman cum; never gonna happen, those closet cases are too busy spreading their cheeks. Inflation never hit 12% under biden. It was above 8% for a few months in in 2022, when global supply chains were still recovering from covid and and inflation was even higher around the globe. So what you're really saying here is:>The stupid con-artist pedo who I want to use my mouth like a teenage girl is poisoning the economy to enrich himself, but at least he hasn't done as much damage as one of the worst Healthcare disasters in recent memory. >>
Anonymous 06/14/26(Sun)21:03:20 No. 1519582 >>1519427 I just checked and America's target inflation rate is 2.0%. That being said, 4.x% is very high and well past the target hence the high cost of goods. Once global supply came back into check, other major countries were able to closely achieve their 2.0% target inflation rate, why cant America? Why is the government purposely making life hard on its citizens?>>
