Democratic political strategist James Carville said this week that the public “didn’t f—ing learn anything” from the publicly released diary entries of Dr. Anthony Fauci, who helped lead the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The main thing we learned from the release of his personal texts or emails or whatever it was, is we didn’t f—ing learn anything,” Carville said on his “Politics War Room” podcast alongside Al Hunt.

“This was basically an honest guy trying to deal with a once-in-a-millennium public health issue,” he added.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) released thousands of entries from Fauci’s diary over the weekend ahead of a Senate hearing appearance, revealing the longtime health official’s notes during the pandemic.

The entries show Fauci and other U.S. and international health officials grappling with the origin of COVID in early 2020.

During a Feb. 1, 2020, phone call with leading scientists, some officials felt certain the virus “could occur naturally,” while others “felt that deliberate insertion” was possible. The two leading scientific theories are that the virus officially known as SARS-CoV-2 jumped from animals to humans at a wet market in Wuhan, China, or it leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where researchers study coronaviruses.

The diaries also show Fauci maintained close tabs on media coverage of him during the pandemic. In May 2020, the then-director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases wrote that he may be the “most famous and talked about person in the country.”

Additionally, Fauci dined at his home with CNN anchor Jake Tapper in October 2020, after he publicly said Americans should consider canceling Thanksgiving dinner amid the pandemic.

But Carville defended him on Tuesday, arguing there was “no evidence” Fauci sought to benefit financially from his increasing profile during the health crisis.

“I don’t think the guy really made any mistakes,” he told Hunt.

On Wednesday, Fauci pleaded the Fifth Amendment 111 times during a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing on COVID, saying he was trying to protect himself.

“Given Sen. Paul’s obvious obsession with calling for my prosecution, his repeated slanderous comments about me and recently his publicly releasing my unredacted personal diary aimed at embarrassing and intimidating me, the only conclusion I can reach is that the sole reason he is calling me before this committee is to get me to say something, anything, that could vindicate his repeated public pledges that I end up, in his words, ‘behind bars,’” he said in his opening statement.

Paul, the chair of the committee, said after the hearing he will push for a vote in committee next week on holding Fauci in contempt of Congress.

>honest guy
He was jerking himself off in his own diary about how important he was, like WH security not needing to card him before entering the building. The shit he said in public, e.g advising the vaccine and mandates, was also dramatically different than the emails he gave to his coworkers over GOF research.
He literally cried antisemitism when he was brought before congress. Fuck him.

He was 100% correct about all of those things. Trump agreed, which is why he had daily press conferences with him throughout 2020.

>He was 100% correct about all of those things.
Then why did he plead the fifth more than a hundred times?

DONALD J TRUMP:

Feb 7 - To Bob Woodward ***IN PRIVATE*****
“You just breathe the air and that’s how it’s passed” “And so that’s a very tricky one. That’s a very delicate one. It’s also more deadly than even your strenuous flus.”

-------------------------

Feb 26 - "This is a flu. This is like a flu"; "Now, you treat this like a flu"; "It's a little like the regular flu that we have flu shots for. And we'll essentially have a flu shot for this in a fairly quick manner."

Feb 28 - "The press is in Hysteria mode!" Over covid19

Mar 9 - "The Fake News Media and their partner, the Democrat Party, is doing everything within its semi-considerable power (it used to be greater!) to inflame the CoronaVirus situation, far beyond what the facts would warrant.

Apr 13 - "The media minimized the risk from the start."

Oh, you mean Trump isn't a medical expert?
Do you know who is? Dr. Fauci.
Do you know who Trump was taking advice from? Dr. Fauci.
Do you know who you're defending? Dr. Fauci.

To piss off Rand Paul who campaigned on making tinfoilfaggotry from twitter real.

Because it is the responsibility of an accuser to provide evidence of breaking the law and not “aha gotcha you’re going to jail for those words” questions

Apr 6 - "I answered this 15 times. You don't have to answer." -- Trump prevents Dr Fauci from answering a question about hydroxychloroquine

Timeline shows Trump lied to the American people.

Was putting light inside the body and injecting disinfectant Fauci's idea?
>>
>>1526500
You call trump a rapist in every thread without evidence
>>
>>1526494
Fauci repeatedly confirmed, both in public statements and his own diary entries written at the time, that Trump was a fucking idiot who had to be convinced of the most basic facts of the virus and would repeatedly go off-script or listen to random unqualified grifters over him. His retardation was in spite of Fauci constantly trying to drill in how serious the situation was and what they had to do.

>Openly brag about how you're just going to keep asking the same questions he's answered hundreds of times as a perjury trap
>Shocked when he tells you to get bent and refuses to answer the questions again

Is this the same Trump who was ordered to pay millions over a sexual abuse case?
>>
>>1526526
but if esl shill closes his eyes and goes "la la la" it doesn't count, you see
>>
>>1526522
I actually have evidence. In fact, I have a settled ruling that you can not only call him a rapist, but also that he had to pay millions of dollars for being a rapist.
>>
Praise Saint Fauci the Healer
>>
>>1526537
I thought people went to jail for rape, not paying financial damages
How many years did he spend in jail for being a rapist?
>>
>>1526478
As if we know if those vaxxies even saved many boomers from the coof.
>>
>>1526719
Why wouldn't we know that? It seems to have worked.
>>
>>1526718
Yeah real miscarriage of justice that he hasn't gone to jail. Unfortunately, doesn't change that he did have to pay millions of dollars for raping someone.
