They have already twisted the interpretation to allow a standing military as long as it is purely for self-defence, then broadened that to defending allies as well. That excuse worked, because they are careful to only have interceptors, scanners, anti-mining equipment, etc, nothing that could be used to attack, therefore no "war potential", supposedly.
The new missiles are pure aggression, a Tomahawk (Land ATTACK Missile) doesn't intercept or defend, it is an unambiguous violation of their constitution, and another step toward world war.
Also a waste of money that makes them even more dependent on deranged burgers, but that's their problem.

South China Sea disputes involve seven (7) different countries all disagreeing with each other, and Japan in particular has territorial tisputes with all of its neighbours. these are matters that should be resolved diplomatically, not by escalating threats back and forth, which puts us on a path to war. it doesn't help that US runs interference, which will get worse if Japan makes their military even more dependent on them
