Retard live in reality. The US' oil supplies are nowhere near the middle easts and even if we went all in on trying to maximize it, environmental impact and economic cost be damned, we'd run the fuck out of reserves before we get anywhere near being able to even try to replace the middle east.

International trade works the way it does for a reason. They have something for cheap it would be 10x as expensive for us to source locally. Replacing them would mean we'd be self sufficient but prices would remain completely unchanged; hell they'd probably spike even higher because it takes that much more effort to locate and process US oil compared to middle eastern oil. You'd literally be better off trying to replace oil as a fuel entirely than you would be trying to replace the middle east's role in it.
