Anonymous No Negotiations Until 2029 (Or(...) 08/10/26(Mon)19:13:39 No. 1528913 In a major setback to efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and cool Middle East tensions, Iran ruled out any future negotiations with United States (US) President Donald Trump, according to Iranian outlets and a X post by an adviser to Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. Headlines note that Tehran will wait until the US President’s term ends on January 20, 2029, to resume talks. "Trump will not reach an agreement with us. We will accompany him until his term ends," Majid Shakeri, adviser to Ghalibaf, said According to TD Securities, a prospective agreement on the Strait of Hormuz remains out of reach, with the bank noting that a "Hormuz deal remains elusive." Strategists highlight that the risk backdrop is being reinforced as "the Houthis' continued strikes on Saudi energy infrastructure, flows via Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb remain critically choked, and Russian exports and refining remain subdued amid continued Ukrainian attacks," all of which continue to underpin the geopolitical risk premium in Oil.>https://www.fxstreet.com/news/breaking-iran-wont-negotiate-with-the-us-until-trumps-term-is-done-202608101811 >>

Anonymous 08/11/26(Tue)07:43:10 No. 1529041 the 'shit tier' heavy oil from outside the u.s. is how you get diesel and heavy fuel oil. our nice light sweet shale oil is extensive, but doesn't fuel the trucks, trains and ships that keep America America. Fracking the shit out of our shale is great economically, but NOT something that's ever gonna get us 'energy independence' nomatter how loud we scream drill baby drill additionally, whether or not the numbers are believable, the Associated press published an article this week with clear numbers of bombs and defenses we both had, and have. it's not like it's a secret. >>

There's a limit to how many bombs we have in an area that isn't the fucking US. We had stockpiles in the Middle East in the form of how many bombs our bases and ships deployed there have. We've burned through most of those and this isn't a video game where we can take all the bombs and munitions we have/make here and teleport them there overnight.>>

Anonymous 08/11/26(Tue)11:46:23 No. 1529069 >>1529064 Retard live in reality. The US' oil supplies are nowhere near the middle easts and even if we went all in on trying to maximize it, environmental impact and economic cost be damned, we'd run the fuck out of reserves before we get anywhere near being able to even try to replace the middle east. International trade works the way it does for a reason. They have something for cheap it would be 10x as expensive for us to source locally. Replacing them would mean we'd be self sufficient but prices would remain completely unchanged; hell they'd probably spike even higher because it takes that much more effort to locate and process US oil compared to middle eastern oil. You'd literally be better off trying to replace oil as a fuel entirely than you would be trying to replace the middle east's role in it.>>
