Remember when MAGA lied to your face when they said they wouldn't start more wars?

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy5dzk0ryzdo

Donald Trump has threatened to bomb Oman - a US ally - if it "gets in the way" of his administration's own talks with Iran, Fox News reports.

The US and Oman have been negotiating separately with Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a waterway that is vital to the global economy. It has been largely closed for nearly six months during the US-Iran war.

A reporter for Fox said the US president made the threat to Oman while using an expletive during a phone interview.

Earlier in the day, Iranian officials said they were close to finalising a deal with Oman. Meanwhile, the future of talks between the US and Iran is unclear as a 60-day Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two sides is expiring.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Monday, Trump was asked by BBC News if he was seeking an extension to the MoU, to which he replied: "No."

Since the US and Israel attacked Iran in February, Tehran has largely blocked the Strait of Hormuz - through which about a fifth of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas usually passes. Reopening it has been a key point of discussion.

Oman borders the southern side of the Strait and says it is a neutral country in this conflict. However it has suffered a number of strikes from Iran and is now playing a key role in negotiating with Tehran to reopen the waterway.

Washington has pursued its own efforts to secure the reopening. Fox reporter Trey Yingst quoted Trump as saying: "If Oman gets in the way, we'll bomb the shit out of them."

It is not clear what Trump thinks would constitute getting in the way of his ambitions for a deal.

During the same interview with Fox, Trump also said the US had a direct backchannel with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which is a major military, economic and political force in Iran.

>An IRGC spokesman denied Trump's claim.
>>
A spokesman told semi-official Iranian news agency Tasnim News: "There are no talks taking place between IRGC officials and the Americans, and this lie by Trump is merely fantasies caused by the delusions and nightmares he has suffered as a result of defeat and desperation in the war."

A map of the Middle East shows Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman and Iran. The Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz are labelled, highlighting the narrow waterway between Iran and Oman that connects the Gulf to the Gulf of Oman.

Trump made his threat to Oman a few hours after Iran had said the two countries had reached an agreement for ships to travel through the Strait.

Iran's foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei told reporters "an understanding has been reached regarding the map of the transit route".

He added that both sides would finalise the details before issuing a joint statement. Oman has previously described these talks as positive.

Earlier this month, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said a full reopening was dependent on Iran receiving compensation from the US for what Tehran described as violations of the MoU.

Reuters - citing an Iranian official - previously reported that Tehran was seeking fees of between 5% and 7% of the price of cargoes from vessels who travel through the Strait.

While Trump said in his call with Fox that he had a direct backchannel with the IRGC, he said he was in no hurry to bring the war to a close.

"They're good poker players, but they're dying," he was quoted as saying. "I have no time schedule. I'm not in a hurry."

The Memorandum of Understanding between the US and Iran, signed on 18 June, was designed to bring about a ceasefire and at least partly reopen the Strait of Hormuz. But it fell apart a short time later when both sides resumed strikes.

On 8 July, Trump said the ceasefire was "over" and blasted Iran's leadership as "scum" and "cuckoo" after fresh exchanges of fire.

Why would it be a Russian tactic to point out both sides? Wouldn't it be a Republican tactic to say that the past Democratic president was doing the exact same thing they were calling intolerable and grounds for impeachment when done by a Republican?

Can you say 'Islamic Republic of Japan', miggers?
Time to wake up and smell the covfefe with retardation-flavored creamer, Trumptards. The fact that Democrats have won elections since late 2025, including a Democrat mayor in the area which includes Mar-a-Lago, proves that even Republican voters have chosen sanity.
Even the right-wing Daily Mail - just after a certain election in late 2020 - said that Biden was 'The voice of reason and sanity'. The Biden administration regarded Oman as a valuable ally. Just as UK has for decades. But then, even with so many Conservative & Labour PMs, it's not just Oman who have been close allies with that country.
Alliances strengthen nations. As does diplomatic relations. Trump is the laughingstock of the world.

It's one thing to fuck up a name; funny, a bit concerning considering his age, but hey it happens and it doesn't have an effect on politics beyond a soundbyte.

Threatening to bomb a major US ally in the Middle East is a big fuck up though with possibly lasting repercussions.

Miggers say there's nothing wrong with this forever war by saying Iran says "Death to America" and they want to create a nuke. So I guess they're fine with Trump sucking Kim Jong-un's dick despite North Korea saying "Death to America", and they already have nukes.
Miggers are fine with Trump giving Saudi Arabia the ability to create nukes. Strange that they don't equally want Trump to bomb Saudi Arabia - a Muslim country - if the notion of Muslims having nukes is such a bad idea. They seem to have forgotten about 9/11: Saudi Arabia is responsible for that.
But then, hypocrisy is hardwired into the DNA of miggers.

The difference is the Saudis gave trump a 2 billion dollar bribe for their nukes given some of the top secret information trump stole was about nukes.

Clinton tried to initiate a war against Iraq in 1995. He also created embargoes that killed half a million Iraqi children, the ultimate goal of which was to "prevent Saddam from acquiring weapons of mass destruction".

Nevermind that if we're gonna talk about "embargoes that killed half a million children", we have to talk about defunding USAID and casually being responsible for over 700,000 and counting child deaths.

Because civilian shipping companies don't want to risk any of their boats until a real ceasefire... and that's going to be kinda difficult to work out an agreement because we keep killing off their leadership (another metric of winning).

>Actually yes, if you start a war and you're the one who winds up economically devastated
We're not. Nor will we be. Stop being so hyperbolic.

>What the hell are you talking about? Iran's economy is much closer to being devastated than ours.
Anon thinks his Democrat talking points to win the midterms are true. You hate to see it.
The US economy is doing great compared to the Biden era which brought massive, rapid hyperinflation which resulted in 15% consumer price increase within the first two years, and totaled over 20% by the time Biden left.
That was devastating.
>>
>>1530433
>Because civilian shipping companies don't want to risk any of their boats until a real ceasefire... and that's going to be kinda difficult to work out an agreement because we keep killing off their leadership (another metric of winning).
Retard if there was no threat they'd be going through.

>We're not. Nor will we be. Stop being so hyperbolic.
Within the next month or two we will be approaching the limits of our oil reserves. Once that happens, use will generally be restricted to essentials and the military, because actually even hitting the lower limits of our oil reserves risks the salt caverns we use to store oil sealing up and causing a whole fuck load of problems. Even right now, we're facing quite a bit of inflation which is particularly bad when you take into account the AI bubble being close to popping.

>What the hell are you talking about? Iran's economy is much closer to being devastated than ours.
Yet they're about to recieve ownership of the strait and billions in income from taxes from it, and we're about to sit here looking like retard because our options are to either allow that or destroy the entire oil industry via a ground invasion that'll result in Iran bombing the Gulf states into oblivion to take the global economy with them.

Our options right now are to give Iran their demands or continue the global economic pain until we do. There is no way for the US to win this war.
>>
>>1530437
>The US economy is doing great compared to the Biden era which brought massive, rapid hyperinflation which resulted in 15% consumer price increase within the first two years, and totaled over 20% by the time Biden left.

>Retard if there was no threat they'd be going through.
You asked me why they're not going through and I gave you an answer. That doesn't mean Iran is winning. It's an inconvenience.

>Within the next month or two we will be approaching the limits of our oil reserves.
Our strategic oil reserves were lower under Biden and I don't remember anyone panicking this hard about salt caverns. And even when he poured out our reserves it only affected gas prices by a dozen cents per gallon for a short period of time. We weren't dependent on those reserves to function back then and we're not dependent on those reserves now. Oil will still flow into the US from other locations.

>Yet they're about to recieve ownership of the strait and billions in income from taxes from it,
Source? I saw something about a deal Trump proposed last month, that wouldn't come from US funds, but clearly the Iranians didn't go for it.

>or destroy the entire oil industry via a ground invasion that'll result in Iran bombing the Gulf states into oblivion
With what capability? They have drones and rockets that are being blocked 99% of the time. That and Saudi Arabia isn't going to sit by and let Iran just destroy their primary source of income. If it comes to that, they'll personally exterminate the Iranians for us and we won't be able to reign them in.

>Our options right now are to give Iran their demands or continue the global economic pain until we do. There is no way for the US to win this war.
There are several other options, such as establishing the oil pipelines in Iraq to bypass the Strait of Hormuz completely.
>>
>>1530444
that's a lot of damage control anon
>>
>>1530444
>Our strategic oil reserves were lower under Biden and I don't remember anyone panicking this hard about salt caverns
Because the fucking flow of oil wasn't disturbed idiot. We were still receiving enough oil to offset the oil being removed. Now we're not, and the number gets lower each day without going up.

>Oil will still flow into the US from other locations.
Not enough now that 20-25% of the world's oil can't fucking move through the strait.

>With what capability? They have drones and rockets that are being blocked 99% of the time
The same capability they keep the strait shut down with. In fact, the same capacity they used to bomb Kuwait and Oman last month.

>There are several other options, such as establishing the oil pipelines in Iraq to bypass the Strait of Hormuz completely.
Yeah that really works; spend the next few years making a new pipeline that will be a prime target for Houthis, will have nowhere near the efficiency needed to lower prices, and hope that in the meantime we can keep up the currently status quo we already know cannot last long term before everyone starts having problems with their reserves.

Again, there is no way for the US to win this retarded war.
>>
>>1530448
>Because the fucking flow of oil wasn't disturbed idiot.
Yes it was, idiot. 10% of our oil came from Russia. Guess who stopped that.

>Not enough now that 20-25% of the world's oil can't fucking move through the strait.
Well then the world should get off their ass and help us out. Sucks to be Europe, but if they want this conflict over with they need to send some ships. Either way we'll be fine.

>The same capability they keep the strait shut down with. In fact, the same capacity they used to bomb Kuwait and Oman last month.
And Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and several other nations have already declared war on Iran and are engaging them... it's funny how we can rely on our Middle Eastern allies more than our European "allies", but I digress. They're not going to just sit there and take it.

>Yeah that really works;
Yeah it really can. And... God help me for saying this but... it helps that we still have troops in Iraq working with the Iraqi government to kill insurgents.

>Again, there is no way for the US to win this retarded war.

>Well then the world should get off their ass and help us out. Sucks to be Europe, but if they want this conflict over with they need to send some ships. Either way we'll be fine.
Yeah this is what happens when you treat your allies like shit and constantly insult them, then cause a problem that is entirely on you. They're not helping us because they know the way this gets resolved is the US fucks off from Iran and Trump burned every bit of goodwill we had with them. If anything they'd probably sooner ally with Iran to get us away from the Strait than ally with us against Iran.

>And Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and several other nations have already declared war on Iran and are engaging them... it's funny how we can rely on our Middle Eastern allies more than our European "allies", but I digress. They're not going to just sit there and take it.
Which doesn't change that they can, in fact, attack their water plants if we go for a ground invasion.

>Keep saying that all you want. The Iranian military is closer to losing than we are.
If all you have is "lower kill count", you're retarded. They can wait the US out, especially considering it's unlikely this war survives a blue victory in midterms and is already horrifically unpopular to the point Republicans are pushing Trump to wrap it up however possible because it's gonna tank the whole party.

Hah! I didn't know Putin was in charge of the Biden administration AS WELL as the Trump administration, like I've constantly been told. Your senile puppet cut off a major source of our oil and you supported him doing that. Yet you have a problem with something similar happening with Iran who, unlike Russia, has caused the deaths of thousands of Americans. Either way your claim that the fucking flow of oil wasn't disturbed is debunked.

>If anything they'd probably sooner ally with Iran to get us away from the Strait than ally with us against Iran.
Not all that far-fetched seeing as Europe is becoming a Muslim annex. Either way if they don't want to help they can sit there and bitch. We're not hurting at the pump as much as they are.

>Which doesn't change that they can, in fact, attack their water plants if we go for a ground invasion.
Well good luck hitting them. Also good luck pissing off the entire Middle East even more, who will definitely want payback if that happens.

>If all you have is "lower kill count", you're retarded.
Is that all I listed, retard? Or did I give a handful of other reasons to go with it that you're deliberately ignoring?

>They can wait the US out, especially considering it's unlikely this war survives a blue victory in midterms
That much I will give you. It would be a democrat who would pull out with the job half-way done and undo everything, emboldening Iran for a future conflict that will result in even more dead Americans.

For years, Democrats have gotten away with election fraud and weak Republicans. And that's what they are. There's so many weak Republicans. And we have great ones. Jim Jordan and some of these guys, they're out there fighting. The House guys are fighting. But it's, it's incredible.

And you have to get your people to fight. And if they don't fight, we have to primary the hell out of the ones that don't fight. You primary them. We're going to. We're going to let you know who they are. I can already tell you, frankly.

Republicans are, Republicans are constantly fighting like a boxer with his hands tied behind his back. It's like a boxer. And we want to be so nice. We want to be so respectful of everybody, including bad people. And we're going to have to fight much harder.

The American people do not believe the corrupt, fake news anymore. They have ruined their reputation. But you know, it used to be that they'd argue with me. I'd fight. So I'd fight, they'd fight, I'd fight, they'd fight. Pop pop. You'd believe me, you'd believe them.

And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore.
>>
>>1530572
Honestly, this speech was so powerful. It still moves me to tears. It's easily as important to western history as Pericle's funeral speech in The History
>>
>>1530572
>For years, Democrats have gotten away with election fraud and weak Republicans.
Implying the election is illegitimate and any republicans certifying it are illegitimate.
>So I'd fight, they'd fight, I'd fight, they'd fight. Pop pop
Saying to fight "fake news"
>And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore.
Putting the "fight" as a life or death scenario.

But yeah I'm sure saying all this and then when the assembled mob started getting violent posting about how Mike Pence (who was in that building) was a coward who couldn't do what was needed while he in the middle of certifying the election meant nothing.
>>
>>1530574
Typical liggeral horseshit. Same as when liggerals try to pretend a man can become a woman by chopping off his dick. You can massage the truth into whatever narrative you want. You've learned pilpul well from your Jewish masters.
>>
>>1530574
The election was probably illegitimate.
Even if it wasn't, voters sure fucked up and thankfully realized it later.
>>
>>1530574
You said he was orchestrating a coup
This looks like a generic Trump speech.
The one instruction he offers to the crowd
>I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard
Is not telling his supporters to fight but to gather peacefully and patriotically and have their voices heard.
January 6th was a mostly peaceful protest. And the proof of it is in the fatalities. Who died on January 6th?
>>
>>1530582
>Guys he just told them to go to the Capitol and then highlighted how Mike Pence failed
>But don't worry he said "peacefully" so it's fine that he didn't bring in national guard or tell them to stop until it was already over and literally said "fight fight fight" right before that
>>
>>1530584
Don't you faggots keep saying that DC is full of pedophiles or whatever?
Why do you unironically care?
>>
>>1530568
and in the name of the law they are innocent it was also under biden's DOJ who openly in court when the justice asked why charges were bought against trump and not previous presidents blatently said because times have changed aka hypocrisy.
>>
>>1530584
All your replies are green text and they are inferences. Saying Trump was dog whistling his crowd. He wasn't telling them to storm the capitol he told them to gather peacefully and patriotically but they all knew what he meant. It's a standard which requires mind reading. You can't point to him telling the crowd to find Mike Pence and beat him up, just say that Trump claimed Pence failed that's proof he wanted violence
>>
>>1530574
>>1530582
>Fight like hell
>march over to the capitol building
Yeah I don't think a token "peaceful" takes away the fact he took a massive group of his supporters, rallied them to fight with claims of a stolen election, then said outright anyone who certified it is illegitimate while telling them to go to where the election was being certified.
>>
>>1530587
>and in the name of the law they are innocent it was also under biden's DOJ who openly in court when the justice asked why charges were bought against trump and not previous presidents blatently said because times have changed aka hypocrisy.
Previous presidents didn't have their supporters try to fucking raid the capitol building while chanting they need to hang the VP for certifying their loss.

>>1530588
It was a dog whistle and throwing in a token "do it peacefully" after telling them to fight doesn't make him not responsible for them turning violent after he rallied them up and gave them targets.
>>
>>1530588
Yeah any claim he didn't support what they then did died when he subsequently pardoned all of them, even the ones caught on video threatening to kill Pence and bashing cops with flagpoles.
>>
>>1530593
Liggerals burned down entire cities and trashed homes and businesses because one N died. No one needed to pardon them because the liggeral """"justice system"""" didn't even pursue any charges and made no attempt to stop those violent liggeral rioters.

>>

Were they convicted of a crime in a court of law, yes or no?
>>

Yes and No
https://fee.org/articles/george-floyd-riots-caused-record-setting-2-billion-in-damage-new-report-says-here-s-why-the-true-cost-is-even-higher/
You're talking about something that involved tens of thousands of people over multiple summers. They're not a single person with a single opinion you can label "esl shill", the answer is at the level of individuals. Some where charged and were convicted in a court of law, far more plead out. In the United States 90-95% of state criminal cases are resolved via plea bargains and about 97% of federal cases so going to trial is actually kind of rare.
Others had their charges dropped because of a lack of evidence, witnesses recanting their statements, or pressure from Mayoral or State officials. When the Governor of your state is marching with Black Lives Matter cops get the message
>>
>>1530604
No, no anon. In that case, in that moment, was any of the people she was raising bail for convicted of a crime?

The answer is no, by the way, because if they were they wouldn't have a fucking bail.
>>
>>1530606
And so after they were convicted she would have bailed someone out who was guilty of a felony, or misdemeanor
Time passes. She would have bailed someone out who was accused of committing a crime they were later sentenced for
You cannot claim ignorance, if they weren't accused of a crime they wouldn't fucking need bail
>>
but back on topic, trump has ruined american prestige and constantly threatens his allies. i wonder why the shills can't focus on this detail
>>
>>1530611
>You cannot claim ignorance, if they weren't accused of a crime they wouldn't fucking need bail
It isn't illegal to raise bail for someone. Whether you believe they are innocent or not is up to her to decide and she can't see the future or exactly what happened.

And it is a far different thing from pardoning people who were convicted, sentenced, and imprisoned for crimes.

The "no new wars" stance was a core pillar of Donald Trump's campaign, but it has caused major friction with his MAGA base following military actions against Iran. Trump later denied guaranteeing no wars, creating a visible split among his supporters and isolationist influencers.Campaign Promises vs. Administration ActionsThe Slogan: During the campaign, Donald Trump repeatedly stated he was the only modern president to launch "no new wars" and promised to keep the country out of foreign conflicts. The Conflict: The U.S. and Israel engaged in military operations against Iran, which Trump defended as necessary to neutralize a nuclear threat rather than an "endless war".The Pushback: Trump asserted in an interview with NBC's Kristen Welker on Meet the Press that he "didn't guarantee no war," frustrating core MAGA figures and isolationist commentators who expected a strict non-interventionist policy.

zelensky wasn't someone who took power in a coup or a hereditary dictator.

>>1530864
>zelensky wasn't someone who took power in a coup or a hereditary dictator.
Zelensky is not a hereditary dictator. Kim Jong Un is a hereditary dictator; His father and his grandfather were dictators of north korea.

The previous president, Petro Poroshenko was not Zelensky's father or relative. In fact they ran against eachother in 2019.

>>
>>1530894
thats not what the article says. It doesnt say clinton knew about 9/11

he wasn't in office during 2001. So why would clinton have had any relevant briefings at that time?
>>
>>1530898
Here's what the article says
Bin Laden, who headed the terrorist group al Qaeda, had been targeted by authorities for his role in the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Kenya. The U.S. government targeted bin Laden in August 1998 strikes, but he was not injured.
Clinton’s recorded statements from 2001 referred to a proposed strike in December 1998, after intelligence indicated that Bin Laden was staying at the governor’s residence in Kandahar. That proposed attack was addressed in the 9/11 Commission Report, released in 2004.

According to the report, the missed chance made some lower-level officials angry, but later intelligence appeared to show that bin Laden had left his quarters.

U.S. officials again considered a missile strike against bin Laden in May 1999 -- but, as was the case months before, they held back from striking, wary of conflicting intelligence reports. That skepticism may have been bolstered by the CIA’s accidental bombing on the Chinese embassy in Belgrade during the NATO war against Serbia, the commission said.

“This episode may have made officials more cautious than might otherwise have been the case,” the commission’s report stated.

From May 1999 until September 2001, authorities did not again actively consider a missile strike against Bin Laden.
>>
>>1530897
>>1530899
Ok so they missed him and were like 'ah shit, eh". He wasn't exactly tip top priority like he was after 9/11.

Also I lowkey doubt him dying then would've prevented 9/11. Chances are by 1998 he already had the plan laid out somewhere so some other al Qaeda leader would've just carried it out and become public enemy number one instead.
>>
