https://newrepublic.com/post/215971/jack-smith-proof-beyond-reasonable-doubt-donald-trump-guilt

Former special counsel Jack Smith swears that President Donald Trump committed “serious crimes.”

In his opening remarks to the Senate Judiciary Committee Tuesday, Smith reiterated the findings of his two indictments against the president of the United States.

“Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation,” Smith said. “If asked whether to prosecute a former president today based on the same facts, I would do so regardless of whether that president was a Republican or a Democrat.”

“The charges against President Trump were the result of the evidence. Grand juries in two separate districts reached this conclusion based on his actions, as alleged in the indictments they returned. Rather than accept his defeat in the 2020 presidential election, President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results and prevent the lawful transfer of power.”

“After leaving office in January of 2021, President Trump illegally kept classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago social club and repeatedly tried to obstruct justice to conceal his continued retention of those documents. Highly sensitive national security information was held in a bathroom and ballroom where events and gatherings took place,” he said.

Smith’s team determined that Trump kept a hold on those documents in order to help advance his business interests.

The former special counsel’s statements were practically identical to his January testimony before the House Judiciary Committee that his investigations uncovered proof “beyond a reasonable doubt” that Trump had engaged in criminal activity.

In December, Smith testified for eight hours in a closed-door hearing before the House committee. He has long sought to testify in a public hearing, but was rebuffed by Republicans until Tuesday in favor of one behind closed doors.
>>
Old news. Trump has been convicted of 34 felonies. He is clearly a criminal.
>>
>>1540053
The absolute goober of a republican who tried to link Jack Smith to Fanni Willis and miserably failed because he mixed up the Atlanta Hawks with the Iowa Hawkeyes should be publicly tarred and feathered. If he had any form of shame or honor he would actually kill himself. What a moronic buffoon.
>>
>>1540053
of course he is going to say that. it distracts from his unlawful spying on elected officials, journalists and private citizens.
>>
So where's the investigation into Joe Briben gang fucking children?
>>
>>1540058
>of course he is going to say that. it distracts from his unlawful spying on elected officials, journalists and private citizens.
You mean a guy whose job was to investigate criminals investigated criminals, and now the criminals are whining because they were investigated.
>>
>>1540061
>investigated criminals
Criminals such as journalists reporting the news, private citizens making small donations and elected officials operating in their official capacity?
>>
>>1540063
>Nearly 4,800 private donors’ checks were obtained. Grassley disclosed that Smith’s investigation acquired at least 4,782 checks from people who donated to Trump or Republican-aligned entities, covering roughly September 2019 through August 2023. According to the committee disclosures, some donations were as small as $1–$10, and the checks contained information such as names, addresses, bank-account and routing numbers, and signatures.
>Communications involving nearly 50 journalists surfaced in the records. Grassley says records obtained through a subpoena for material associated with 87 Trump White House phones contained communications between administration officials and nearly 50 journalists. The outlets included CNN, Fox, CBS/60 Minutes, NBC, CNBC, AP, Reuters, Bloomberg, the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, NPR, The Federalist and others
>Content of communications involving 44 members of Congress was obtained. This is separate from the much-discussed telephone metadata subpoenas. Grassley says the 87-White-House-phone subpoena produced messages involving 44 members of Congress. That has become especially contentious because Smith previously emphasized that the lawmakers' toll-record subpoenas did not contain communications content
>The congressional-record subpoenas were kept secret through nondisclosure orders. Carriers were prevented from telling affected lawmakers while the investigation was underway. Smith testified that this was consistent with DOJ policy and designed to protect the investigation. Republicans contend secrecy prevented members from challenging subpoenas on Speech or Debate Clause grounds.
>The scope went well beyond Trump himself. Grassley's committee says Arctic Frost ultimately touched records associated with hundreds of Republican individuals and organizations. Earlier committee disclosures referenced more than 400 Republican entities or individuals.
>>
>>1540062
>Criminals such as journalists reporting the news, private citizens making small donations and elected officials operating in their official capacity?
Who were all linked to a very big crime, yes. Do you not understand how an investigation works? Are you clinically retarded or just pretending?
>>
>>1540063
>>1540064
So what are the facts?
1. He investigated almost 5,000 private citizens for the sin of contributing to a campaign.
2. He investigated CNN, Fox, CBS/60 Minutes, NBC, CNBC, AP, Reuters, Bloomberg, the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, NPR, The Federalist for no apparent reason.
3. He investigated 44 Congress people, even though he said he didnt.
4. He hid the congressional subpoenas, in express violation Federal Law.

It not hard to denounce these activities as totally authoritarian and completely unamerican.
>>
>>1540066
>Who were all linked to a very big crime, yes
What big crime was CNN, Fox, CBS/60 Minutes, NBC, CNBC, AP, Reuters, Bloomberg, the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, NPR and The Federalist linked to?
>>
>>1540065
>its totally okay that the DoJ went rouge and started spying on Americans, Journalists, and Elected Officials
>>
>>1540053
>>“The charges against President Trump were the result of the evidence. Grand juries in two separate districts reached this conclusion based on his actions, as alleged in the indictments they returned.
How many days was he sentenced to after the judges processed his charges?
>>
>>1540073
>How many days was he sentenced to after the judges processed his charges?
Nobody "processed his charges" because he became president and the investigation had to be dropped, you silly idiot.
>>
>>1540068
>What big crime was CNN, Fox, CBS/60 Minutes, NBC, CNBC, AP, Reuters, Bloomberg, the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, NPR and The Federalist linked to?
Overturning a lawful election. Being "linked to" doesn't mean all the people investigating were guilty. It's all leads you investigate. How are you not following this? Are you actually this dense or is it just an act?
>>
>>1540056
>Republicans

It's pretty obvious trump is a criminal so all conservatives can do is play the victim card

Also expected that ESL-shill would use his russian master's tactics of whatabout again.
But not shocking given trump continues to conspire with the russians.
>>
>>1540083
>Also expected that ESL-shill would use his russian master's tactics of whatabout again.
You're the one doing a whataboutism. The story is about Smith spying on congressmen and journalists and you're trying to deflect to
>whatabout Trump

>>1540084
None of those have anything to do with the thread topic.
>>
>>1540075
>Overturning a lawful election
Overturning or questioning
>>
>>1540087
>how are these things unrelated to Jack Smith or his "investigation" unrelated?
It costs you nothing to say "What Smith did is fucked up, and has no place in our democracy". Nothing. Literally nothing at all. Yet here we are.
>>
>>1540074
So the judge never resolved the docket? He's just been put in limbo because he became president, his charges being resolved once he is done being president?
>>
>>1540091
>so you can't answer why all these headlines are unrelated to the thread?
They are self-evidently unrelated. You are self-evidently trying to derail the thread because you know, as well as I do, what Jack Smith did was a definitional assault on our Republic.
>>
>>1540093
This thread is about Jack Smith and Arctic Frost, where he spied on
>4,800 private citizens
>50 journalists from CNN, Fox, CBS/60 Minutes, NBC, CNBC, AP, Reuters, Bloomberg, the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, NPR, The Federalist and others
>44 members of Congress.
>and "hundreds" of Republican individuals and organizations
>>
Fun fact, Jack Smith probably broke the law.

2 U.S.C. § 6628 provides that you have to notify a Senator if they are being wiretapped. Sen. Cruz and Sen. Graham were never notified.

Also, he violated the Constitution. Smith obtained nondisclosure orders that prevented carriers from telling the lawmakers they were wire tapped. This probably violated Constitution’s Speech or Debate Clause.

Its so easy to say that the American Stasi is bad. Its so easy to say spying on Senators, Congressmen and Journalists (more than 50!) is an attack on our democracy. So why not say it?
>>
>>1540096
But we all know he was investigating Trump! Thats why he spied on famous pro-Trump publications like *checks notes*... CNN... CBS/60 Minutes... NBC... CNBC... The Washington Post... Bloomberg... Los Angeles Times... New York Magazine... AP... Reuters... NPR.
>fucking NPR
>>
>>1540080
>>the "investigation"

You keep alluding to some sort of retarded conspiracy to "spy" on people for an investigation that came up with actual crimes. Your level of retardation is so high even Mother Theresa herself would tell you to just kill yourself to save some oxygen.

Talking about Jack Smith and Arctic Frost in a thread about Jack Smith's testimony on Arctic Frost is derailing the thread?
>>
>>1540109
No, the thread topic - which you wrote - says that. The article, in the OP, is about Jack Smiths testimony in front of Congress. He was called to testify about his activities in Arctic Frost.

Arctic Frost was his spying operation, where he spied on over 4,000 Americans, 40+ congressmen (including 4 Democrats!) and 50+ journalists.

If you dont like the thread, or the article its based on, you can stop participating in it. Thanks!

>Jack Smith was called before the Senate Judiciary Committee on September 29, 2026 for an oversight hearing focused on how his special-counsel team conducted the Trump/2020-election investigation, particularly Operation Arctic Frost. Reuters describes the hearing as centered on Republican allegations that Smith abused investigative authority
>Newly released records indicate investigators obtained and reviewed communications involving 44 members of Congress. Senate Judiciary Republicans say investigators did not properly use the contemplated filter-team procedures for potentially protected legislative material.
>Journalists and other third parties. The investigation obtained communications or records involving journalists and numerous Republican-linked individuals and organizations, raising questions about the breadth of the investigation and First Amendment/newsgathering concerns
>Trump donors' financial information. Grassley disclosed just before the hearing that Smith's investigation obtained copies of at least 4,782 donor checks, including information such as names, addresses, bank routing/account information and signatures. Smith confirmed at the hearing that financial records were subpoenaed as part of the criminal investigation.
>Subpoenas for lawmakers’ phone records. Smith’s team obtained toll/metadata records associated with more than a dozen members of Congress, including senators such as Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham. Republicans argue that the use of nondisclosure orders prevented lawmakers from challenging the subpoenas and potentially implicated the Constitution’s Speech or Debate Clause.

A simple search using the words 'Trump's 34 felonies'. The first two answers that question, the second result being the simplest.
But I guess 1540174 is too illiterate, certainly retarded to recognize letters on a keyboard to type the simple words 'Trump's 34 felonies'. Or is literate but is too disingenuous because if the retard 1540174 did search 'Trump's 34 felonies' for itself, the facts would deny 1540172 of the right to claim that Trump isn't a felon, which would hurt its Trump-glazer fee-fees. Or it can stop being a Trump glazer, admit that all its opinions are eternally wrong and become anti-Trump/Republicans.
And facts don't care about your feelings, miggers.
the second search result that destroys retarded miggers' opinions oh so easily: https://www.nycourts.gov/LegacyPDFS/press/PDFs/Trump-Verdict-Sheet.pdf

Why are subhuman rightards killing people? Because they have no issue with committing murder.
And as Trump supports Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia is being supported by UK PM Burnham who is pro-LGBTQ+, thus Trump and 1540187 are liggerals.
Now watch the retard 1540188 being unable to copy paste a URL that is spoilered, because it would spoil the spoiled brat of its right to claim that Trump wasn't convicted of 34 felonies, but because that court document does, thus denies 1540188 of the right to claim that Trump isn't a convicted felon: 34 times
>b-b-but forcing me to admit that my opinions are wrong hurts my delicate Trump-glazing fee-fees! I know! I'll accuse others of being "bots" and "schizo" in a schizo rant of my own, even though the one I'm ranting against clearly isn't what I accuse them of being!
For the retarded out there, that court document again:

Now watch, 1540188 daren't look at that credible court evidence. The projecting 1540188 can't answer, as looking at that court document proves all its opinions wrong. The Trump-glazer values its precious fee-fees and its obviously wrong opinions too much to allow proven facts to destroy such, thus it daren't read that court document and admit that its opinions are more than wrong. >What were the felonies Trump was charged with?
I think you meant to say convicted of.
Trump was convicted of 34 counts of Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree. The jury found him guilty on all 34 counts. Here's the actual verdict sheet:
https://www.nycourts.gov/LegacyPDFS/press/PDFs/Trump-Verdict-Sheet.pdf
What was he charged with is a different question, there's 57 other charges that got thrown out because he became president. The other criminal cases were:
40 federal classified-documents charges:
Willful retention of national-defense information; conspiracy to obstruct justice; withholding a document or record; corruptly concealing a document or record; concealing a document in a federal investigation; scheme to conceal; false statements and representations; altering/destroying/mutilating/concealing an object; and corruptly altering/destroying/mutilating/concealing a document, record, or other object.

13 Georgia charges:

Why the fuck do you need this spoonfed to you?
>>
>>1540195
>Why the fuck do you need this spoonfed to you?
To make a point. Those charges were misdemeanors that cannot be upgraded to felonies without an underlying crime being proven in court. What was the underlying crime? It doesn't exist. This is the first time we've ever done anything like this in the history of the country, and it was done specifically to prevent someone from running for office.
>>
>>1540195
The point of the pointless 1540197 being that its a Trump glazer that doesn't like its fee-fees hurt, thus it continues with its defending of its precious orange god.
>>
>>1540198
Neither this retarded bot, nor any of the 5 actual people who browse this board, can answer that question. They just parrot RAAAAWWWW 34 FELONIES RAAAAAHHH 34 FELONIES and that's it because they can't be bothered to look into the case itself. They got their talking points from the headlines of MSNBC and that's all they need to do.

To be convicted of felony falsifying records the state has to prove you falsified those records in furthering a crime you've been convicted of. What's that crime?
>>
>>1540197
>Those charges
which ones? We've established there were 91 felony counts across 4 different cases. Your dumbass brought them up when you misspoke about his charges instead of convictions, you're just going to ignore them now?
>Cannot be upgraded to felonies without an underlying crime being proven in court.
The felony is falsifying business records with intent to commit or conceal another crime. The other crime does not have to result in a separate conviction. The judge explicitly ruled on this before trial, and then the jury convicted Trump on all 34 counts. “The underlying crime doesn't exist” isn't an argument. The jury found the required intent beyond a reasonable doubt.
It's pretty difficult to square the claim it's “the first time we've ever done anything like this,” with a felony statute that has existed for decades and been used before Trump, but I guess that makes sense to a mind on maga.
>>
>>1540195
And the pointless 1540200 continues to make the point that its a disingenuous Trump glazer that doesn't like its fee-fees hurt, as proven by it replying here: 1540200 . And of course, you cannot spell "replying" without the word Lying.
>y-y-you dare to call my precious orange god a felon?! I know! I'll call the one that did so a "bot" and a "retard" for not thinking the way I do! Yeah, that'll show him and make him come to my way of thinking, yessiree!
>b-b-but I daren't accept your answers to my "question" because if I have to, all my opinions are proved wrong, and proving my precious orange god to be a convicted felon hurts my fragile fee-fees!

>The felony is falsifying business records with intent to commit or conceal another crime.
Which they did not prove. Because it doesn't exist. Which is probably why all 5 appellate judges said the charges were bullshit.

>“The underlying crime doesn't exist” isn't an argument.
Yes it fucking is, because it's a requirement to convict anyone under that charge in the first place.

What about the thought scenario he presented. Would you be okay with a sweeping investigation of 40+ Congressional Democrats, 50+ journalists and thousands of private citizens?

esl spammer-sama doesn't have any sense of empathy or top-down planning. Just a 'fuck you got mine' third world attitude.

comparing apples to oranges. trump and republicans attempted a coup in 2020. democrats did not.

He said he did it.

Which is why Smith needed to spy on journalists? Including the notorious right-wing fanatics at... NPR?

Democrats stormed our Supreme court and tried to overthrow our Judiciary in 2018, and prevent the nomination of brett kavanaugh to the supreme court

More than 300 were arrested for breaching the Judiciary.

Shills are really working 24/7 from here out, huh

There are only two Trump defenders on this board. One is a schizo VPNposter pretending to be four people, and the other barely speaks english.

your sources don't agree with you at all. Nothing there says they interrupted the session or tried to overthrow anything.

And you're actually trying to equate this nothingburger to january 6th? Are you just pretending to be a moron or do you have actual brain damage? In any case, KYS as soon as possible.
>>
>>1540293
Don't forget the right wing also constantly tried to falsely equate CHAZ with trump's failed coup too.
Anything to create a false equivalency to defend their indefensible actions.
>>
>>1540293
It's a shill, who knows if it's even human at this point. Either way, all it knows how to do is spam lies repeatedly to drown out actual discourse, and it seems to be able to do so with impunity

Hundreds were arrested.
The US Capitol Police said 61 people were removed from the committee room and arrested for disorderly conduct.
Multiple protesters were forcibly removed from the Senate gallery Saturday, as they continually interrupted the Supreme Court confirmation vote for Brett Kavanaugh.
The interruptions continued throughout the vote. A press release from the Capitol Police said that 13 people were removed and arrested from the Senate chamber.
They were breaking into the Judiciary

This is footage that looks straight out of Janaury 6th
>>
Anyways, trump is a criminal, as everyone was already aware
>>
>>1540299
Meanwhile the capitol police just opened the doors for coup terrorists during trump's failed coup that he incited.
It was a true miscarriage of justice that the corrupt system didn't bother going after him.
>>
>>1540303
The cops didn't murder any kavanaugh protestors either
>>
>>1540314
Helps they weren't trying to murder capitol police like trump's coup terrorists were, who injured over 50 of them, and murdered officer Brian Sicknick.
Another reason why Jack Smith is right.

Brian Sicknick killed himself. Ashley Babbit was an unarmed veteran shot for the crime of climbing through a window. The only person who died on January 6th was her.

How many were arrested on January 6th? I thought it was hundreds

U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick died of natural causes after suffering two strokes at the base of his brainstem, according to the District of Columbia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner
Why would you lie so brazenly? He wasn't murdered on January 6th
>>
>>1540353
You're coping and trying to excuse a crazed MIGA crowd beating a police officer to death because you're a partisan shill.
>>
>>1540364
Why would the chief medical examiner say he died of natural causes if he was beaten to death?
>>
>he was going to die of natural causes anyway, pay no attention to the televised gang beating he got the day before
keep coping, shll

Everyone knows better

"Everyone" is retarded because they don't understand cause and effect.
>>
>>1540367
Imagine if Trump was actually shot by one of the conservative assassins and died of a 'natural causes' blood clot the next day.
MIGA would completely crash out at the implication that no one killed Trump
>>
>>1540323
She was taking part in an attempted coup and ignored warnings.

There's no violence in that video. There is just a crowd.

Even far-right judges have to appear like they respect the constitution and look at the evidence. Given he's absolutely obliterated the presumption of regularity Jack Smith enjoyed, it'd have to be one hell of a case, but if it convinces a judge, so be it.
