Vance tells Sean Hannity that Democratic ‘arsonists’ will reverse Trump’s successes even as he admits his own administration needs more time

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/jd-vance-voters-midterms-gasoline-b3060535.html

Vice President JD Vance laid out the Trump administration’s best case for a Republican victory in the midterm elections on Thursday, returning to his role as the White House’s great communicator. But instead of empathizing with Americans’ economic pains and fears about the future, the vice president leaned into fear-mongering about Democrats.

Vance spoke with Fox’s Sean Hannity in an interview that aired Thursday, and leaned into the administration’s successes at driving illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border to 50-year lows as he made the case for the GOP.

As he spoke about the supposed priorities of hypothetical Democratic majorities in the House and Senate, however, Vance claimed that his opponents wanted to block Republicans from ever winning elections again and “transform” America, citing such issues as acceptance of transgender Americans.

He claimed those reasons were why Americans should not “gripe” about the “little things” like gas prices nearing their Covid-era highs, U.S. casualties in the war against Iran and high cost of living issues, and give Republicans two more years to attempt to fix things.

“This is not the time to sort of gripe about all the little things. There are obviously — I think every single person who voted for us in 2024 could find something where they wish maybe congressional Republicans had gone further,” said Vance.

“But the challenge here is between Democrats who want to destroy the country, who want to permanently disempower you, make it so even if you vote Republican your vote doesn’t actually count anymore. And Republicans, who fundamentally are trying to solve the problems that Democrats under Joe Biden created. That is the choice.”
>>
”There’s so much that’s going in the right direction. There’s so much that I’m proud of. Absolutely, we need to get more done, which is why you need to give us two more years to get great results for the American people,” he added.

Republicans appear on track to be swept in historic fashion if midterm polling continues to trend in the direction it’s been trending for six months for just another 30 days. The war with Iran is massively unpopular with voters, and the high gas and diesel prices caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz for months have caused a ripple effect across the U.S. economy, driving up prices in other areas.

Adding to the complications for the White House has been its inconsistent promises of ending the war: The president and his aides have all said at various times that the war was weeks, even days away from ending, only for hostilities to repeatedly resume. Hostilities resumed in August and the two sides continue to trade attacks in the Strait of Hormuz. Little progress towards a peace agreement has been evident since then.

The vice president deployed his comparatively eloquent message to Fox News as Donald Trump completed a two-state swing of the southwest, visiting Texas and Oklahoma. The president spoke in Denton, Texas on Thursday and complained that the media was not doing enough to get the word out for his administration, and repeated a claim that his White House was achieving the “best numbers” of any president in history.

"We have the greatest numbers of any president in the history of our country, and I can't get the word out,” the president said. “The only thing we’re doing bad at is public relations.”
>>
He also attacked Democrats for their calls for his administration to address the affordability crisis that economists say is directly linked to fuel price spikes from the war against Iran, calling those affordability concerns “bull***t” and once again insinuating that Democrats made up the word “affordability” to hurt his political brand.

“They say, ‘yes, but affordability?’ And everyone thinks that the prices are high because of me, but they're not. We're the ones bringing down the prices. I just hope you can know. The one good thing about [the president’s critics] is, they have a great line of bull***t,” said Trump.

“You know, they came up with the word affordability. So from day one, they said, ‘what about your prices?!’ And then they came up-- you know, they always come up with these words.”

Trump’s presence in Texas was his second visit to the state in a month aimed at saving the campaign of Ken Paxton, the Texas attorney general. Paxton trailed his Democratic opponent in the state’s high-profile Senate race, James Talarico, 51 percent to 49 percent in a Fox News poll this week. He has consistently trailed Talarico since winning the primary; a Democrat has not won statewide in Texas since the 1990s.

Republican candidates in other states are faring badly as well, and a forecast from poll monitor FiftyPlusOne puts Democrats with seven in ten odds of winning the Senate in November, putting the final projection of Democratic seats at 52.

GOP candidates in Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Florida and Alaska are all playing defense as polling has trended against them over the summer with the resumption of hostilities against Iran.

This is a good message to send before midterms.

This. The #1 issue true Amerivan patriots are facing is the tranny menace. Frivoulous things like gas prices and unemployment pale in comparison, and the GOP knowing this is why they'll win in November.

It did in 2022 as well. It's not like the Republicans were able to dominate the house and senate because the biden economy spoke for itself with 9% inflation. Biden didn't get successfully impeached after the midterms because his economy was in the tank.
And compared to 2022, the american economy is doing great

If the inflation rate in 2022 is actually Trump's fault even though he was president back in 2020, does that mean the inflation rate in 2026 is actually biden's fault even though he was president back in 2024?

Money printer devaluing currency. Think hard kid.
>>
>>1540893
If the money printer was devaluing the currency why was inflation flat during 2020? Do you think maybe Biden was printing & spending more money, which is why his inflation rate was higher?
https://energycommerce.house.gov/posts/one-year-later-even-president-biden-admits-the-inflation-reduction-act-failed-to-lower-costs-for-americans
Democrats have admitted they pushed through policy they wanted in the "Green New Deal" through Bidens "Inflation reduction act". I think Biden was printing and spending more money which is why the inflation rate was so much higher when he handled the pandemic 2021-2023 compared to when Trump handled it during January to December 2020
>>
>>1540924

>>
>>1540978
I don’t understand. Inflation is higher now and Trump blames it on Biden almost 2 years into his presidency, so why is 2 years into Bidens presidency not trumps fault?

Was Biden lying then and Trump is lying now? Or was it not bidens fault then and not Trump’s fault now?

Those are the only 2 options in your scenario. Which point was inflation Trump’s fault?
>>
>>1540994
>Higher now
Higher than what?
>>
>>1540989
>Trump talked about and didn't do
Trump approved $3.1 trillion in COVID stimulus. Shut the fuck up forever. Republicans print more than Dems and do everything in their power to cut tax revenue while they're at it.

CARES act was 2.2 trillion.
Let's see how the market reacted.
https://i.imgur.com/UWKLFLk.png
April 0.3%
May 0.1%
June 0.6%
So after the 2.2 trillion was printed and markets had a chance to react, their reaction was to raise prices at the rates of 0.3% 0.1% 0.6%
>>
>>1541006
Inflation was up because of the pandemic then. Why is inflation up now?

>>1540997
Higher then when Trump took office, Trump has increased inflation numbers despite promising and making his entire campaign about bringing down prices.

Now he blames Biden 2 years into his administration. But you are saying it is unfair to blame Trump for the inflation during the pandemic that he caused with his disastrous response to the pandemic.

So is it unfair to blame Trump for the inflation during Biden administration during the pandemic? And therefore unfair to blame Biden for the inflation now?

Of is it fair to blame Biden for the inflation during his administration and fair to blame Trump for the inflation now.

Those are the only 2 scenarios which one is it?
>>
>>1541008
>Higher then when Trump took office,
So? What in the fuck does this have to do with anything?\

The damage was done. You're a fag.
>>
>>1541008
I really don't get it
You say inflation was high because of the pandemic, but Trump and Biden were both were dealing with the pandemic.
>>1540978
In April May June of 2020, the pandemic was an issue.
In April May June of 2021 when Biden was President the pandemic was an issue
The difference was/is when Trump was dealing with COVID in April the inflation was 0.3% and when Biden was feeling with COVID in April the inflation was 4.2%.
You can make the same comparison for May and June, and notice the same discrepancy between Biden & Trump's inflation rate
>>
>>1541036
>You say inflation was high because of the pandemic, but Trump and Biden were both were dealing with the pandemic.
Right, so Biden ended up dealing with the results of both his AND Trump's inflationary policies.

This isn't difficult.
>>
>>1541038
Trump's inflationary policies that lead to increases in inflation of 0.3%, 0.1% and 0.6% after Congress generated & he signed off on 2.2 trillion dollars.
While under Bidens management in April he dealt with 4.2% inflation, in May he had 5% inflation, and in June he had 5.4%.
>>
>>1541036
>>1541038
Also
>inb4 so Trump is dealing with Trump and Biden's inflationary policies
Biden's COVID relief was early in his administration. The effects had already been realized.

Remember inflation under Biden peaked by June 2022 and that was drawn out by spending continued under Biden. There was no massive public spending initiative in late 2024. The last major stimulus package under Biden was in March 2021. Even if there were some magical Biden program enacted the day he left office, we should have seen it's peak effect by June of this year.
>>
>>1541041
>Trump's inflationary policies that lead to increases in inflation of 0.3%, 0.1% and 0.6% after Congress generated & he signed off on 2.2 trillion dollars.
Inflation from Trump dumping trillions of dollars into the economy didn't magically turn off when Biden assumed office.

If you can't explain how a policy caused inflation, you need to shut the fuck up. As is you either don't know what causes inflation or think Dems dumping money into the economy causes inflation but Republicans doing it doesn't, which is just delusional.
>>
>>1541044
But it didn't seem to cause inflation.
Do you remember how in 2007/2008 there a financial crisis. And the government spent trillions in bailouts. When did we start experiencing the inflation caused by the trillions in TARP loans and government spending.
Did we experience a massive inflation spike in 2009? 2010? 2011? 2012? 2013? 2014? 2015? 2016?
Because it seems like trillions were spent in reaction to the 2008 financial crisis, and Inflation was never "turned on" after the crisis, which meant it never needed to be "turned off". Even though according to your logic we should have had massive inflation guaranteed because of the massive amounts of money spent in reaction to the financial crisis.

2008 bailout wasn't really a lot of direct financial payments to banks. The bulk of the money changing hands was done as part of asset buyback and QE over the period of a decade plus. Instead of a single money supply shock, the FED spread it out.

The Trump bailout was mostly direct payments. It was Trump checks and direct PPP loans to businesses. TARP didn't impact the money supply - Trump QUADRUPLED the M1 money supply in 1 month.
>>
>>1541046
>And the government spent trillions in bailouts.
The bailouts were loans. Those banks eventually payed back what they owed to the federal government plus interest.
>Even though according to your logic we should have had massive inflation guaranteed because of the massive amounts of money spent in reaction to the financial crisis.
Inflation also depends on monetary velocity; the rate at which money is spent.
COVID stimulus checks didn't cause mass amounts of inflation immediately because the vast majority of the people who received that money saved it in the bank. It was made worse by people who got shitcanned and stayed at home collecting unemployment checks.
Once the lockdowns lifted an people began spending money again, the lack of consumer goods coupled with the excess amount of liquidity in the market created loadsa inflation.

Oh right, was it the Biden administration who caved to the oven dodgers and attacked Iran causing a massive disruption in global oil shipments and production? Or the Biden administration who decided to enact tariffs and raise the cost of imported goods?

No, it was orange man and his ilk who did. Stop acting stupid and read the facts. The cost of everything is up and we know why. The oven dodgers have dirt and blackmail on orange man and they are using it as leverage to attack their neighbors which in turn is causing prices to shoot through the roof.
>>
>>1541059
>Or the Biden administration who decided to enact tariffs and raise the cost of imported goods?
Biden literally did this with Russia and Canada. Except he didn't enact tariffs, instead sabotaging oil infrastructure and embargoing the second largest producer of fossil fuels in the world.

Dems like to pretend the Green New Deal doesn't exist, but democrats haven't once reneged on their plan to ban combustion engines to curb climate change.
>>

Trump bailed out depositers because it let him send bailout checks to voters in an election year with his name on the checks to boot
