They keep threatening to do things to help America if they're not elected, how stupid are they?

https://www.nydailynews.com/2026/10/08/mike-johnson-may-step-down-democrats-win-house/

Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson Thursday hinted he could quit Congress if Democrats win the House of Representatives in the upcoming midterm elections.

With Democrats favored to retake control of the House, Johnson sounded very much undecided on whether he would stick around as GOP minority leader for the next two years.

“Heaven forbid, if we lose this majority or whatever, I don’t know what my next chapter of life is,” Johnson said in an interview with Fox News.

Johnson previously refused to address a hypothetical scenario of Republicans’ losing the midterms and projected confidence. This time, he floated the idea of returning to Louisiana and perhaps leaving the political arena altogether.

“If God moves on our hearts and says we should, you know, go back to my hometown of Shreveport and start a lawn business, I’ll do that with equal fervor,” he said. “I mean, I just want to be of my highest and best use to God and to my country.”

The startlingly candid admission by Johnson only underlines the desperate political climate congressional Republicans are facing in the final month before election day on Nov. 3.

With Trump’s approval ratings at historic lows, most nonpartisan pundits say Democrats are almost certain to flip the handful of seats it would take to retake the House and install Brooklyn’s Rep. Hakeem Jeffries as the first Black Speaker of the House.

I’m pooped…
>>
Speakership has been a political death sentence in the Republican party for decades now, due to a combination of personal incompetence and chronic dysfunction from congressional Republicans
Boehner, Ryan, McCarthy.
Pathetic as it sounds, the disgraced recently deceased pedophile Dennis Hastert was the only post-Gingrich era Republican speaker whose record could be called successful.
So it doesn't surprise me that Johnson is looking for the fire exit.
>>
>>1542350
Yes. The GOP is not a machine like the DNC.
>>
>>1542351
Is this the part where we try to paint being a functional political party capable of enacting a legislative agenda when in power as a bad thing?
>>
>>1542347
Fake news and liggerals are retarded for believing it. We will win. Daily reminder that the MSM President Trump had a 99% chance of losing in 2016. He didn't. He won by a landslide. Real America has nothing to do with the fake America the MSM presents to us. The silent majority stands with Trump. Always has.
>>
>>1542354
He lost the popular vote in 2016
>>
>>1542354
Republicans lost the House in 2018 with Trump in office, and that was with a larger majority than they have now and no Iran war or fuel price spike
>>
The GOP are a pedo machine. The DNC are more than just morally superior, which is why they'll dominate the Senate & HoR in the midterms.
1542354 the migger is fake and retarded for believing Trump and the Republicans.
And you cannot spell 'believing' without the word lie.
>>
>>1542353
????

I'm comparing the GOP that has a fluid power structure to the DNC which runs like an Imperial Palace.
>>
>>1542366
no, you're just being a faggot as usual
>>
>>1542366
"Fluid power structure" is an interesting way of spelling "Revolving door of incompetents who have accomplished nothing for conservative causes since the pedophile who served longer than any other Republican speaker in history left"
Seriously, name a single piece of legislation that has passed in the last two decades that was a major victory for the American right
>>
>>1542372
False premsie. Our governance is predicated on not passing new laws.
>But what have you accomplished
Abortion, Guns, Immigration, ACA. Huge wins in each.
>>
>GOP mandated abortions.
>clap.
what a retard
>>
>>1542355
The data proves that when you remove fake illegal ballots, Trump won the popular vote

>>1542356
And I wonder why that happened ... It's almost as if 2018 and 2020 were stolen by the ligs ... And we've already proven that
>>
>>1542374
And none of those wins came for the legislative branch. They all came from the executive and the judiciary.
>Akshully It's a good thing Republicans haven't passed a single noteworthy piece of legislation in 20 years. Who needs checks and balances?
I guess I was right earlier. This is the part where we paint being a functional political party capable of enacting a legislative agenda when in power as a bad thing.
>>
>>1542355
not according to my debunked russian talking points
>>
>>1542377
>Dey STOLE 2018!
Uh huh. And apparently Trump let them get away with it and didn't do shit
Why would 2026 be any different?
>>
>>1542354
>always has
Right except that time where he lost to Joe Biden conservicucks have memories like a goldfish
>>
>>1542378
>And none of those wins came for the legislative branch
Yes. Re-read my prior post.
>party capable of enacting a legislative agenda when in power as a bad thing.
That's the entire premise of the entire GOP and has been for about 120 years at least.
>>
>>1542347
I sure do love the political leaders of my country going on this much about God. Fuck out of here, Mike. Maybe the next guy can actually decide things without needing they're magic sky wizard to tell them what to do.
>>
>>1542396
KEK so this is the preemptive cope for Republicans losing midterms
>Whatever we don't even care if we have a majority in Congress anyway that shit's gay
>>
>>1542404
Who are you responding to?
>>
>>1542410
nta, but it looks like they're replying to a faggot
>>
>>1542400
Reminder: Atheism is judaism, but you can't even reach heaven. The perfect thing for the goyim.
>>
>>1542400
I don't care if someone wants to talk to their magical sky daddy before they make an important decision, as long as they're also well-informed about that important decision and are thinking about it too. I want contemplative, thoughtful legislators that enact good policies for good reasons. You can compartmentalize god and have enough cognitive dissonance to still be a relatively intelligent and functional person.
That doesn't describe Mike "I need my son to keep me from looking at gay porn" Johnson at all.
I'm inspired by someone like Talarico however, who clearly values his own faith and uses it to inform his votes, while acknowledging that government functions best for everyone as a secular body.
>>
>>1542435
Nobody asked, Mohammed
>>
>>1542446
Exactly what I mean. Being religious is fine, basing policy on that religion is not. We don’t need a fucking theocracy.
>>
>>1542347
if republicans lose the midterms were clearly rigged and they need to start investigating and jailing domestic terrorists for capital crimes. send them to the gallows death penalty without any exception to the democrat traitors
>>
>>1542465
when does your shift end
>>
>>1542465
MAGA has already said they’re going to cheat, anon.
>>
>>1542467
doing what the opposition does isn't cheating its evening the field.
>>1542466
when will you stop raping kids demrat
>>
>>1542467
they also promised him some scraps to larp as an american
>>
>>1542468
>cheating isn’t cheating if the other guy is cheating
Actual child logic.
No, anon, it’s still cheating. And they’ve never proved the dems cheated or rigged anything, so even that bullshit excuse doesn’t work.
>>
>>1542469
>him
stop trying to pretend you're a man, esl shill
>>
>>1542476
>And they’ve never proved the dems cheated or rigged anything
Except for all of those audits that revealed all the terrible shit democrats were suing to keep from coming to light, e.g the fact that voting machines (required by law to be airgapped) were sending telemetry to Venezuela.
>>
>>1542497
Jesus fucking christ, anon, you have been repeating these lies verbatim for fucking years. Do you keep notes or something?
No, retard, the audits that proved the election wasn’t rigged did not prove that the election was rigged.
>>
>>1542347
Well it's either that or stage another coup by refusing to seat the incoming congress, and thus ending 250 years of democratic rule and the founder father's vision.
Though treason tends to carry penalties on the stiff side and democratic voters are tired of limp dick presidents like Clinton, Obama and Biden who let their republicons predecessors get away with their crimes.
>>
>>1542500
What democrats want doesn’t matter if they stage a coup. Or what republicans want, for that matter.
>>
>>1542502
Only conservatives have staged a coup, especially under trump in 2021, and there's a good chance they do it again since they never just stop at one if you follow history.
>>
>>1542503
Yes, that's what I mean.
>>
>>1542498
>Do you keep notes or something?
Are you surprised that others have kept track of your blatant lies? Did you think that you would somehow escape notice?
>the audits that proved the election wasn’t rigged
You haven't been paying attention the recent lawsuits, clearly.
>>
>>1542507
Only 2 more weeks until the Kraken drops?
>>
>>1542497
Wasn't it Italy at one point? China? Germany? So many competing claims it gets confusing.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italygate
>>
>>1542509
The 2020 election was so perfect, so free of fraud, that nobody is allowed to question the outcome. If they do, they lose their license to practice law.
>>
>>1542570
>After the 2020 United States presidential election, the campaign for incumbent President Donald Trump and others filed 62 lawsuits contesting election processes, vote counting, and the vote certification process in 9 states (including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin) and the District of Columbia

>Nearly all the suits were dismissed or dropped for lack of evidence or lack of standing

esl shill, you really need new talking points
>>
>>1542476
>no you can't cheat only we can
>we've never cheated though
actually objectively democrats are cheating rats otherwise you wouldn't anti-voterID
>>
>>1542576
NOOOOOOO
JUST BECAUSE WE ASKED 62 TIMES AND PROVEN WRONG 62 TIMES DOESNT MEAN WE CANT KEEP ASKING FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER
>>
>>1542581
cheating how? every one of your conspiracy theories has been debunked multiple times by multiple outlets.
>>
>>1542576
>Nearly all the suits were dismissed or dropped for lack of evidence or lack of standing
>Nearly
>Nearly
>Nearly

Nearly. liggeral you are so fucking stupid. And a case getting thrown out is just as likely to be a cover up than it is something that exonerates. If you're so certain it's fake news, why fear the trials? Stand for what you believe and let the evidence speak for itself. Such a blatant cover up when you think about it.
>>
>>1542446
KEK no one except ligs and commies (same thing, really) think Talarikike is a real Christian
>>
1542581
Objectively, the right-wing Daily Mail not only said nothing of any 'fraud' - if it ever existed - in the 2020 election, but the day after the result they stated in that newspaper that Joe Biden was (quote) 'The voice of reason and sanity'.
So indeed, the 2020 election was better than perfect, with the only fraud being Trump - or they wouldn't have said what they did about Biden - and those with wrong opinions who so much as think otherwise lose their credibility, certainly their right to have their wrong opinions so much as listened to.
>Biden is sane
>Trump by definition isn't, and never will be
The right-wing Daily Mail agrees, don't bother them about it, 1542570.
>you wouldn't anti-voterID
Objectively, you wouldn't be an esl shill if you were an actual American 1542581, otherwise you wouldn't humiliate yourself like this.
>>
>>1542592
Joe Briben is the voice of child gang rape
>>
>>1542590
>And a case getting thrown out is just as likely to be a cover up than it is something that exonerates.
If you file a suit that's fucking retard, and it gets rejected because it's fucking retarded, that's not proof that it isn't fucking retarded, you fucking retard.
>>
>>1542586
muh russia debunked
muh fine guys debunked by snopes
do democrats ever know shame.
>>
>claims there is fraud in AZ
>bring in special team for full recount
>Biden actually got even more votes
I never understood why election deniers didn't just kill themselves there
>>
>>1542602
MAGAs can't feel shame. They're too weak.
>>
1542593 voices the fictional name ' Joe Briben', thus admits that Joe Biden is completely innocent.
1542601 constantly lies, thus, like migger Republicans, has no concept of shame. Because the likes of 1542601 have no morals.
>right-wing newspaper Daily Mail doesn't mention election fraud in 2020: because there wasn't any to report
>they say Joe Biden is the voice of reason and sanity
When even a right-wing newspaper proves miggers' opinions more than wrong, in soon to be Soviet America debunked and destroyed are you, 1542601. And Donald J. Trump is the voice of child gang rape, 1542593: he leads the Gang Of Pedophiles after all.

Last three Democrat Speakers:
Jim Wright (resigned after an investigation that he and his wife were receiving a lot of money they shouldn't have)
Tom Foley (lost to a Rebublican and never returned to Congress)
Nancy Pelosi (corrupt old hag who is only in office because Republicans don't live in San Francisco)

idk, I think the Republican Speakers are better off than the Democrats

>Reaching back to the 1980s for whataboutism
Sad
>>
>>1542377
i would love to see your "proof"
>>
>>1542377
>The data proves that when you remove fake illegal ballots, Trump won the popular vote
Actually it doesn't prove that.
