Anonymous ICE agent shot by man after he(...) 10/10/26(Sat)05:46:08 No. 1542529 https://www.fresnobee.com/latest-news/article317561032.html A federal agent from Texas was allegedly shot after a family feared for their lives early Friday. Fresno police said they received 911 calls about a single gunshot fired in the area of East Dudley and North Broadway Street, and also received a ShotSpotter activation of a one-round shot in the area. When officers arrived, they found a man in handcuffs with a gunshot wound to his midsection. The man was identified as 32-year-old David Gonzalez, an off-duty federal agent assigned to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, police said. Police detectives investigated the incident and said that a resident in the neighborhood arrived home to find Gonzalez sleeping on her front lawn. She notified her 72-year-old father, who was inside. The father went outside to tell Gonzalez to leave. Police said that when Gonzalez woke up, he appeared intoxicated and agitated. Gonzalez then allegedly assaulted the man, causing him several injuries as he was forced to the ground, according to police. The daughter tried to intervene, but Gonzalez allegedly attacked her, causing her to fall to the ground, according to police. The victim, in fear for the physical safety of himself and his daughter, produced a gun and fired one shot at Gonzalez, police said. The daughter’s boyfriend, an off-duty police officer, arrived on the scene and placed Gonzalez in handcuffs. Gonzalez was taken to a hospital for treatment. >Police said the victim who shot Gonzalez is not facing criminal charges, and was legally in possession of the firearm that was used. Police said Gonzalez is in custody on felony assault charges. The victims’ injuries are still being evaluated. >>

The third lawmaker associated with the bill was Rep. Thomas J. Bliley Jr. (R-Virginia), Chairman of the House Commerce Committee from 1995 to 2001. >During debate in the House of Representatives, Rep. John Dingell (D–Michigan) argued that the bill would result in banks becoming "too big to fail". Dingell further argued that this would necessarily result in a bailout by the Federal Government.[8] The House passed its version of the Financial Services Act of 1999 on July 1, 1999, by a bipartisan vote of 343–86 (Republicans 205–16; Democrats 138–69; Independent 0–1),[9][10][note 1] two months after the Senate had already passed its version of the bill on May 6 by a much narrower 54–44 vote along basically partisan lines (53 Republicans and 1 Democrat in favor; 44 Democrats opposed).[12][13][14][note 2] If you were being consistent, wouldn't you hate republicans more for this?
