Anonymous France Desolated by "Students"(...) 10/19/26(Mon)13:57:23 No. 1543980 https://nypost.com/2026/10/18/world-news/french-police-arrest-1800-protesters-after-violent-clashes-and-looting/ PARIS — Police arrested at least 1,800 people across France after violent groups clashed with officers and looted shops during nationwide demonstrations that drew hundreds of thousands of people who denounced rising living costs and poor conditions in schools. Authorities said masked groups on Saturday set fires and attacked public buildings, including city halls, in several cities. In Limoges, a city in central France, flames engulfed the 19th-century City Hall, causing its roof to collapse. Haute-Vienne prefect Maurice Barate told LCI television that the fire was deliberately set and nearly destroyed the building. The fire was under control Sunday. French President Emmanuel Macron will hold an emergency meeting with top government officials on Sunday afternoon, before addressing the nation at 8 p.m., according to his office. “The right to protest is a fundamental right. Deliberately and collectively sowing disorder through violence is not,” Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez wrote on X, pointing to the lootings of hundreds of businesses in Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Rennes, Strasbourg, Grenoble, Nice, Limoges and other cities. Nuñez and Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu attributed some of the violence to “radical far-left groups” and said others later joined to loot. >>
Anonymous 10/19/26(Mon)13:57:40 No. 1543981 >>1543980 Paris police said Sunday that 855 people were arrested in the French capital region alone. About 550,000 took part in protests across France, according to authorities, while organizers counted about 800,000. More than 500 police officers, gendarmes and firefighters were injured, Nuñez said. One person died of a heart attack, Paris police said in a statement, without providing details. Paris prosecutors’ office said it was investigating. Around Paris’ Place de la République on Sunday morning, dislodged cobblestones, shattered storefronts and broken glass marked the aftermath of the events. Looting and damage were reported around the square and in some other tourist and shopping areas in the city center. Police said groups numbering from several hundred to more than 1,000 people formed unauthorized marches across central Paris on Saturday. “By late afternoon, a new phase began with the arrival of large numbers of people whose sole aim was to steal and loot, taking advantage of the unrest,” police said. The mayors of Paris, Marseille and Lyon, the country’s three largest cities, requested a meeting with the prime minister in the coming days “given the extent of the damage and the seriousness of the situation.” In the southern port city of Marseille, some protesters briefly forced their way into the lobby of City Hall and a group of people wearing hoods and masks damaged a police station. In Lyon, a fire broke out inside a tourist office.>>

Anonymous 10/19/26(Mon)20:15:05 No. 1544004 I for one look forward to the far right riding into power on fears of leftist rioters, doing nothing to solve the problems leading people to riot, actively making society worse, and then not even having the balls to violently crack down on rioters and institute a police state as riots naturally spiral even further out of control under their rule. Most of French society deserves what is coming and it will serve as an example for other right wing movements to not start shit you can't finish. Maybe once the far right spectacularly flames out, France can get some actual competent leadership. >>

Anonymous 10/20/26(Tue)01:38:53 No. 1544022 >>1543993 >>1544005 >>1544011 Constantly blaming immigrants for everything literally is part of how it got this bad. Politicians keep scapegoating and refuse to address the actual issues with their economy and funding, because "oh we'll keep those darn immigrants out!" meanwhile the actual issue is underfunded schools and people not being able to afford to live. >inb4: Well uh, those are also the immigrants fault somehow! Again, scapegoating. You could deport every immigrant in the country overnight and it would not change these issues because they've become inherent to the system at this point. Things need to be done about blatant corruption and funding issues or this will just keep happening over and over. Riots like this are the social equivalent of your body giving you a fever when you're sick; focusing on keeping the temperature down isn't actually addressing what is causing the body to do it in the first place.>>

Anonymous 10/20/26(Tue)10:16:50 No. 1544044 >>1544042 Exactly, these people in France are protesting for the very thing that conservatives love to champion. The myth of proud conservatives fighting against a corrupt government that is stealing their money and not funding the services they promised. This sort of protest against corrupt government overreach and corruption should be something that American conservatism is cheering on, but MAGA has poisoned conservative’s brains. Now they are pro big government and pro government control over the citizens. Conservatives are so fucking lost.>>
Anonymous 10/20/26(Tue)10:22:03 No. 1544045 >>1544044 >This sort of protest against corrupt government overreach and corruption should be something that American conservatism is cheering on Why? American Conservatism has built everything it claims to stand for up as a mere pretense for racism. Using these protests to be racist is entirely par for the course. And since it's not a race riot by white people and/or a pogrom, naturally the way to do that is to attack the rioters. To quote Lee Atwater, former RNC Chair>Y'all don't quote me on this. You start out in 1954 by saying, "Nigger, nigger, nigger". By 1968, you can't say "nigger"—that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me—because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this", is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "Nigger, nigger". Remember, Conservatism is about hurting the right people.>>

It's certainly hurting the right, who aren't people. Good >>
