The foreman then rolls up in an 2015 Honda Fit and says he sold his F250 last year to help save the environment. Next Monday the parking lot of half and three quarter ton trucks were replaced with sensible efficient electric vehicles and everyone was smiling with excitement knowing they were saving money and promoting a sustainable way of living.

As long as you stick to sub 18'' tires and gassers the general maintenance costs won't be any different than any other vehicle. On the bright side all pickup trucks have ridiculous resale values so there are definitely worse vehicle choices out there.
