Not the radio, not even local music from a CD. The visual/auditory stimuli provided by the motor and outside surroundings should be more than enough. A long monotonous route is far more enjoyable when half of your mind is lost in thought. I have been doing this for 3 years now, and even though the 5-cylinder in my Beetle can get rather buzzy, it's okay.

Long distance trips while listening to AM radio in the middle of the night were phenomenal
Autistic people shouldn't be driving with music*Normal people? A non issue.

I don't like listening to music because my car has absolutely zero sound deadening, and I can barely hear it anyways over my tiny shitbox engine screaming for its life once I get up to highway speeds. I love listening to my shitbox.
