A new C segment cuckover will be added to the current lineup, then Alfa Romeo will be turned into an EU only regional brand...now it's 100% over.Thank you Stellantis, thank you French fucks for killing this glorious brand, I really hope that this company burns to the ground once for all.At this point we can only hope that some Chinese company buys them and possibly Maserati as well.
Bump you heartless mofos
>>28955465>>28955530boo hooalfa fucking romeo is going to die, what are we going to do? we wont be able to buy a mid ass sedab with a 2 liter i4 truly dark times
>>28955556>american opiniondiscarded.
better to kill them off gracefully than let them turn into another bmw/merc/Audi blob seller. like ending the viper when regulations would have ruined what it stood for
>>28955564I am bulgarian
>>28955573Remember Lancia...Fiat went here.
>Stallanctis
>>28955465>create beautiful car>win car of the year>never fucking advertise it ever>wonder why car never sells
>>28955465>Chinese company buys themstrip mines the brand assets, and uses it to exclusively sell rolling iPad Tessie clones. death to all Chinkshills
>>28955465Toldja when this all started that Stellantis was just going to turn into Mopar 2.1.1.1
>>28955556Why does this gif make me horny
>>28955633I am so sorry.
>>28955925So what’s the better alternative, keep them under stellantis where they make Peugeot clones with 1.2 pureshit engines? They can also make a joint venture with a Chinese company with Alfa Romeo retaining the control.
>>28955939and thats a problem because?
>>28955881They did advertise it. The problem with Alfa is that alt prremium never sells, because premium (not luxury- big distinction) is predicated on belonging. When a normalfag gets a bonus and wants to splurge on a phone, he will go buy the latest biggest iPhone or maybe Samsung because he doesn't need to explain it, the brand speaks for itself. He will not go for a Sony and then have to tell people that it's not a second rate chinese Samsung knockoff and akshually has best in class cameras, he will not go for a wacky 5-fold Huawei that grabs too much attention and derails discussion from him to the phone, he will buy iPhone 19 Pro Max Ultra in black to show that he made it, and nothing else. Same with cars- BMW, Merc and Audi sell, while Alfa, Jag or Cadillac don't, no matter how good the latter are. The few people who do buy alt premium buy it because they want them in particular. Most people don't want shit.
>>28955465>New Giulia/Stelvio cancelledGood. The giorgio platform is still excellent and its replacement was going to be a pigfat, EV-based, "do-everything-poorly" piece of shit that might work for Toyota but not for alfa. All Stellantis needs to do is let alfa be their designer for "fun" cars and then re-badge & facelift those for to make the "fun" cars for other brands like the Dodge dart, Dodge Charger/Challenger, etc.
>>28956246Cadillac sells fine at what it does well still (Escalade). Jag committed woke-suicide. Alfa was just sabotaged by people who wanted to kill it once the old man died. They were selling a better car than BMW (better power, much better handling, better build quality, better materials, much better looks) and completely failed to capitalize on that. I still have people try to tell me that BMWs have better interiors because they think a giant ipad = luxury, or can't tell the difference between pleather or fake wood and real leather or real wood trim. The giulia is a much better car than its competitors, and alfa's traditional weakness (reliability) was fixed. Meanwhile, every negative thing about it (plastic quick connect hoses, etc.) exists on its competitors. The thing should've sold millions, but marketing failed to convince people of its merits and dealers were gougers(partially stellantis' fault for implementing stuff to block DIY repairs, like the SGW).
>>28955465Fuck I need to get a giulia soon then, how long will they keep making it for?
>>28956252Actually they were developing the new Giulia and Stelvio on Giorgio Evo (Maserati Grecale) or even Giorgio Sport (the latter is the Maserati Granturismo platform).
>>28956263Don't worry, they extended their product life cycle like all the competition is doing with their product line as a result of the EV failure, so it's rumored that they'll be updated until 2030.
>>28955881Fiat/FCA/Stellantis/whatever in a nutshell with anything special they made. Pic very much related.
>>28955465retard. the giulia is not kill. that slide just shows completely new additions to the lineup
>>28956548All the other Stellantis brands added the new models under their current lineup, all of them except Alfa Romeo, and consider that the new Stelvio and Giulia were expected to be revealed this fall and during 2027 for the latter. Also the biggest Italian financial newspaper reports that these models have been cancelled: https://www.ilsole24ore.com/art/alfa-romeo-cancellate-nuova-stelvio-e-giulia-arrivera-c-suv-AIEealDDIf this wasn’t the case then Alfa Romeo/Stellantis should report ASAP to avoid a huge pr damage since many blogs and outlets are reporting that their current most beloved cars have been ACK’d
>>28956578ai says it’s not canceled. cope
>>28956578you’re falling for journalism. how old are you
HOLD ONhttps://www.quattroruote.it/news/nuovi-modelli/2026/05/22/alfa_romeo_giulia_e_stelvio_piano_prodotti.htmlAlfa Romeo just confirmed that the new Stelvio and Giulia will be made with a reparatory statement.Fucking idiots…Well, move on lads.
>>28955465>At this point we can only hope that some Chinese company buys themWhy? So they can release a 5000lb generic EV thats painted red with an alfa badge?
>>28956717Btw the article says that they’re developing BOTH a C segment hatchback (new Giulietta/147) and a C segment crossover (similar to the Cupra Formentor).
>>28956254Escalade kinda doesn't count, I was talking more about Caddy's sedans, which kinda sell on the domestic market but not to the level of ze germans in that same market. Jag was such a consistently low seller worldwide that JLR decided to suicide it with a bullet to the back of the head. Alfa has made the best sedan in history and nobody wants it because it doesn't have the status. Lexus tried to take on the germans head-on but ended up finding a niche where it sells to people who want the quality but NOT the status, alongside ever humble Volvo. Chinks and gooks live and die by chink/gook patriotism and taxi fleets. None of them can capitalize because it is impossible. German premium is the default.

>>28956246>They did advertise it.I've never seen an ad for the giulia in the US. I think they did once during the super bowl in 2017 or something. No on e other than car fans know what an Alfa is.Caddy sells fine here, because they advertise their SUVs
>>28957021https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEgXiBFNxoMUuuuuuh
>>28957021Since I bought one in 2021 I have not seen a single one. I don't watch TV though. I found out about it on some car ranking site since I didn't want mb/audi and it was hard to get a 3 in 2021. Alfa was offering 5k off MSRP during peak covid
>>28957148I qualify as Alfisti. Not so many about these days.Apart from the Mitos they're mostly passing traffic.
>>28955556SPBP. why AR still exists in as an alt-premiun brand in an already oversaturated market, offering absolutely nothing unique, is beyond me. if you're one of the six people in the US or 20 people in the EU that buy their cars, you're retarded.
>>28957163In EU if you don't want to import an American car or buy a German car your options are limited.I buy Italian brands mostly.
I just took a look at the Alfa websiteAbsolutely dire state of affairs
>>28957318Brera, I quite fancy a Brera next.
I want a Giulia, sell me on it.A 2020+ qv is starting to push into reasonably priced territoryEarly specs are already there
>>28957318When they have so many generic CUVs, you'd think they'd be smart enough to focus a bit on sedans, maybe even a coupe/vert even if it's to be a low-production model. Making an ultra low-production exotic every so often, and then filling your lineup with generic CUVs doesn't make you an enthusiast brand, and even to that extent the "old" Stelvio is the only decent one.And hell, replacing the Giulia/Stelvio with a cope STLA-Large platform car is a shittier idea than just giving their superior Giorgio platform cars another proper facelift.>>28957347If you're looking at QVs then it's basically a 4 door Ferrari shaped into a "compact executive" car equipped with a California engine that had two cylinders cut off to make it fit. 2.0 cars get nearly all of that save the engine, too (if optioned), meaning an LSD, carbon driveshaft, adaptive dampers, a steering rack tighter than a MINI Cooper S, double bones + multi(Alfa-Link™, 4.5)-link rear. It's also much lighter than it's competition (C-Class, 3 Series etc), and that goes for both engine options as well.
