What's the best car to own alongside a motorcycle? Dirt-cheap commuter car like a Corolla? SUV/truck to be able to tow it? Entry-level luxury like Volvo or Lexus so I don't hate my life when I can't ride?
Ramp truck to jump the bike from
>>28958001Sorry to hijack your thread, but I found this in my old mans garage after he croaked and it looks pretty old and wondering if anybody knows if its worth anything?

>>28958025Unless your dad is actually kenny roberts, probably not.
>>28958001Normie enthusiast cars are a waste of money especially post-covid, even though I still get the itch for one sometimes. If you’re a ruraloid or do track/trails often, then a truck makes sense. Citycucks are best served with whatever they value most highly among the economy-reliability-comfort axes. As the latter and as someone who has dedicated way too much autistic thinking into this very question, I really like the Civic hybrid sport touring hatch. It’s pricey but it’s the most well-rounded appliance car out there and doesn’t even look all that gay.

In case you need to transport furniture
>>28958001If you don't liive in a place with horrible roads where good suspension travel would be worth the money, you are already a rider: you can have any off-road fun you want for cheap. Unless your annual income is so high that the cost increase is negligible, don't get a truck/SUV. Besides fuel cost, maintenance will be pricy and get pricier. The most economical option with character: A Suzuki Swift Sport with some detailing work, rims and maybe a bodykit. Goes for just 13K in Mexico. I don't think its suspension could handle hopping a border wall though.Get an old two-door american muscle or sporty jap, maybe german if you will rarely drive it. 4 door: Whatever seems right after considering cost vs usage. Any luxury would be better if it seems right. If you have a growing family or large friend group, or you like would to be out and about, you could go all out on comfort with some character and get an old van like this. I remember an old post here: one of these with a mini fridge, seats that could be slept on/were like a bed (don't remember what it looked like). Very roomy, cozy. With tech advances today, you could put great lighting in there, as well as speakers and a screen if you wanted. Maybe get a rear hitch mount or whatever its called for loading a small dual sport if you want to be able to go off-road.
>>28958001I have a really scary peaky hard edged sport bike that bludgeons me, makes my ears ring and leaves me shaking a little sometimes when I get off it. So I pair it with a comfy isolating barge that ensconses me in wood and leather. That way I get the best of both worlds.
>>28958018hell yeah>>28958001Whatever you can live with (space for the vehicle and to work on it, can set up to tow or put bike inside) >Pickup with a bed long enough>minivan or van van>suv to have a hitch carrier>small car to pull small trailerThere are a lot of options, and you can mix and match. Hell, even guy martin moves his bike in a van.
Ranger :D
The white rape vans are the best for transporting bikes. Easy to low being low to the ground and stays out of the elements while hiding the bike.
