Carbon Ceramic brakes are a meme to rip off retards.

1. No professional grade race car uses carbon ceramic brakes. Not a single one.

2. Proper racing iron brakes from AP racing and Alcon are lighter, have more stopping power, run cooler, and cost way less

3. Carbon Ceramic rotors also don't last very long when pushed hard. They oxidize and go bad quickly. Some cars only get 2-3 track days out of a single set.

4. Any minor imperfection means the rotor is fucked. Any chip or trade fiber is a no go.

5. 20 years later means you also don't have any parts supply. See SLR $100,000 brake job

pressing x to doubt. Rotors on a 488 challenge would last a whole season, and those are old tech.
>proper iron brakes are lighter
also doubt
>no parts supply
Lucky for you, many companies sell iron brakes for cars with ccm brakes. T&M and Taurino come to mind.

Because the automotive industry has to stay lucrative somehow

Every race sanctioning body that bans them cites "unfair advantage to teams with more money".
