So what i'm getting at is Buc-ee's is like the Chic-Fil-a of gas stations. a wholesome place free from the overly corporatized cynicism that makes places like walmart and McDonald's so miserable to go to. it's one of the last bastions of old americana.

I exclusively eat at chic fil a because the service quality has never let me down not even once not at any location I've ever been to. even the black people who work at chic fil a basically act like white people. it's amazing. I imagine Buc-EE's is the same.

hundreds of gas pumps was quite a sight, but also intimidating with all the cars going every which way
offered high octane and ethanol free, so that was nice
way too many people and way too much going on inside when all i want is a soda
i'm sure the food isn't half bad, but the prices weren't really lower than any other gas station
the bathrooms were great though. dozens of stalls, clean, and individually walled apart from each other with a proper door

Someone wrote a post explaining how Buc-ee's stands out by being clean with middling food in an ocean of wasteland gas stations inhabited by chronically depressed people and meth heads, lit with half functioning bulbs powered on the shattered remnants of the American fream. And also the staff at Buc-ees might kill people and put them in the pulled pork sandwiches. But mostly it's just good hygiene and lighting.

It's insane. They pay like $8 for a dry chicken sandwich with 2 pickle slices. They always have a line, often going outside the parking lot.
The fries are good but the chicken is gas station quality. You've got to slather it in sauce. And you have to pay out the ass for some lettuce and one tomato slice.
It's just really dry food, mostly carbs
