I don't care if it wasn't actually that fast.

The ending of the 1991 24 Heures du Mans is the closest real motorsport has come to cinema. The driver of Mazdaspeed's final stint fading in and out of consciousness of his final lap, dehydrated in a car that is actively trying to kill him, finishing with the overall win, and then being dragged out of the car to the hospital in an unconscious state is absolute cinema.

*actively trying to kill apex seals due to being a shitty stupid engine

rotary displacements were calculated incorrectly in order to gain an unfair advantage, that's why mazda lost every year post correction

lmao what a pussy ass bitch. People do the Baja 1000 which is way the fuck hotter and they don't make a "cinema" out of it.

This so much this

That's 1000 miles of driving 100+mph over 3' tall whoops. The Baja requires a long travel purpose built vehicle to win. You can do that gay sandbox race in a 911. I wonder which is more demanding...

>ahhh i went in a circle for 2 hours ahhh im so weakkk
LMFAO
>>

You can do the Baja in a beetle

It was fast enough to qualify.

Oh wow driving over some bumps in a straight line. It can't compare to experiencing the upper limits of gforces on the body under braking and cornering, requiring peak 100% focus and concentration at all times, needing to act with split second accuracy at all times, all for hours on end.
>>
>>28959921
if you ever get the opportunity, ride shotgun with a pro racer. holy fucking shit it's unreal. the track i went on one corner had actual lumps/bumps instead of just the slightly raised red and white kerbs and the guy just drove straight over them zero fucks given. the g forces in the corners made me still bolster myself with my feet as much as i could even with the full racing harness and bucket seats. and the driver was doing that for at least several hours until the event finished.

That's all racing, anon, and that's what makes racing based. On road or off, losing focus and making a mistake could mean losing the race or losing your life.

>rotary displacements were calculated incorrectly in order to gain an unfair advantage
This was such bullshit.
Mazda had to have bribed someone to get that shit through.

Why did this thread get so many posts during brownoid hours?

Pakis and Indians unironically. The guy who mentions Baja all the time was confirmed to be a Paki.

Cope and seethe. Unfair advantages are an integral part of racing.

I talk about Baja all the time but im not a paki nor have mentioned it previously in itt.
You do realize that more than 5 people post on this board, right?
