How bad is it to put an off-road tube in a road bike? Got my dad's old shitbike metric cruiser this weekend because he needed me to change the tires/tubes and oil for him. I ordered everything a few weeks ago and got a $6 100/90-19 Tube on Amazon. I put it all on and then after my test ride to make sure everything felt alright I picked up the box the tube came in and saw it said "OFFROAD Tube." I was too stupid to read the description on amazon or even the box in my hand. Is it all alright? Do I need to redo it? I don't want to put my elderly dad on a bike with a bad front wheel, but I also don't want to redo it because I change tires manually with just tire spoons and it was already an anger inducing job.
