>Honestly it looks alright for a crossover. What does it sell for, 40k? And who was it by, hyundai?
What the fuck ferrari
>>
>>28960819
What the absolute fuck, I thought this was supposed to be some $40k entry model or some shit for taxes.

I genuinely like it. But it doesn’t look fast and so it will not be a car that sells as a Ferrari.
>>
What an absolute hunk of shit.
You can't even defend it with a "well you're poor!"
Imagine any ferrari enthusiast now, and you present them with this, it's a fucking hunk of shit.
Atleast the mazda ripoff thing they have has a V12.
This thing actually has zero redeemable qualities
>>
>>28960819
They probably wanted to test the waters to see how much they could get away with not coming up with an actual good looking car.
>>
>>28960876
I am baffled how this got green lit for production.
As a concept car, sure, we would all be willing to accept it as a shock media piece.
But to actually put this into production and not expect any backlash from either customers or investors is mad. Not only does it stray away from current design language, it's also moving away from "you buy engine and the rest of the car is thrown in for free" ethos as they still cast their own engine blocks etc.
They won't be coiling their own EV motors or putting lithium into their own batteries, who the fuck thought this could work for them.
>>
>>28960868
Yeah hopefully it'll get pushed down market into Maserati or Alfa or something.
>>28960902
>who the fuck thought this could work for them.
kikes
>>
>>28960819
This design is already like 20 years out of date. How did Ferrari ever approve such a thing?

WHY ARE ALL THESE LUXURY BRANDS KILLING THEMSELEVS WHILE NORMIE BRANDS LIKE NISSAN, TOYOTA, FORD, DODGE/RAM, ETC. ARE MAKING ACTUALLY INTERESTING CARS?

I can see this being a major controversy later on since Ferrari dealers are known scumbags. Imagine if one of them tries to tell a oil Baron that if they must purchase 10 luces' to get on the list for a limited edition Ferrari

Nothing will happen, believe it or not oil barons don't have the borderline religious obsession with ICE that people here do to the point they will have an emotional breakdown at the idea of having to legally own an EV. They will buy ten of them, sell them or give them away, then proceed to give no further fucks.

Also, Hyundai models like the Ioniq 5 and 6 have pretty radical designs.

This. There's no such thing as a premium or luxury EV just like there's no luxury smartphones or digital watches. Electronics either work reliably or they're shit. That's it.

Cars are solved and all old luxury ICE car companies are doomed. China solved cars, the rest is a footnote.
>>
>>28961190
BYD has an electric hyper car that actually looks like a sports car rather than an iPhone and beat the Chiron speeds. You can buy it for 3m dollars.
Or you can shell out 550k for this Ferrari kek
>>
>>28962322
Luxury companies chasing the bottom line forget that luxury is built on being objectively better in some aspect, and EV can only be as good as other EV's which all have extremely similar battery structures and therefore the same performance. The only difference is range, and even then luxury buyers don't really care about range, so you really are just trying to tell a rich person to spend an ultra premium on a sub-tesla or a sub-BYD car.
>>
>>28962335
it's basically a modern rehash of what happened in the jap bubble economy of the late 80s-early 90s. everyone was rich so marques were putting all sorts of wild gizmos in their cars to woo the most buyers over.
>>
>>28962335
Technically, it would be possible to build a "true" luxury electric car. However, it would involve way more than what a regular company would be willing to spend.
Ex. you'd have to license the electric motor and inverter from Koenigsegg (lightest tech on the market), the batteries from BYD (highest density cells available), you'd have to develop a multi-speed transmission (massive flex in an electric car) in-house (you could buy out one of the concept sketches which have appeared in the past couple of years, but you're still on the hook to make a usable product out of it), and you'd have to develop a dash using mechanical dials (for even more flex) from scratch.
>>
>>28960840
This.
It looks decent enough. For a Hyundai.
But a Ferrari - no way.

"we want the Chinese audience" from people who still think it's 2010's China. Chinese customers have moved on from the early bubbly futurism to just getting a car that happens to be electric, so these retarded euro brands are going to flop hard while Buick of all brands makes bank

EV Charger with Challenger.
SUV Lambo was inevitable because just like Porsche, Lamborghini always struggled financially and they know that luxury SUVs sell so they decided to focus on making fancier cars alongside something that has wider appeal. Everybody who know the industry and history of Lamborghini know this. Before Urus, Lamborghini even made LM002 and wanted to score military contracts for money but only ended up making 300 units for private users and called it quits.
EV Challenger and Charger are straight up malice.
