My entire family hates on BMW and says they are very unreliable, break down all the time, cheaply made, etc. My family only buys from Toyota, and whenever i mention BMW or any other company they give me a look and say im wrong. I wanted to know if its true or not?

yes

bmw in europe? maybe if you can wrench or hate your money. In US? fuck off retard.
>>
>>28962019
If you are not in Europe and not rich then yes they are unreliable shitboxes. If you are in Europe or can afford the retarded cost of wrenching (and it is retarded, and BMWfag who claims otherwise never states the costs), then they are pretty reliable
>>
sure, they're less reliable that a toyota, and are overall more expensive to maintain, but they aren't magical pieces of shit that explode if you look at them funny. you do actually have to follow maintenance schedules, like most eurotrash. they're also overall nicer and better to drive than a comparable jap appliance

also
>only drives yota's
>calls other things cheaply made

Goyotas are the worst cars to drive and their hybrids are ticking time bombs.

Bavarian money waster

They're not wrong, but toyotas are only reliable because they are boring slow pieces of shit. It's like wanting to be with a hot blonde, but then complaining that she's high maintenance. I'm joking, BMWs are too fucking ugly to be a hot blonde, they're more like a bogged east asian.

Depends on how long you own them. I’m on my fourth BMW and the only work I’ve needed done is recalls converted under the warranty. I only keep mine 3-5 years though.

and there you have it >>28962128
BMWs are only fit for leasemachines
they are only as good as right up until the end of their warranty

>mutts still haven't figured out the basics how to care for a car so it doesn't break down in 2 years

t. M2 driver 646.000 KM - zero issues
>>
>>28962210
In English, a dot indicates the fraction part of a number, which means your M2 only has 646 kilometers. Not very impressive desu.

Toyota has used bmw engines for 15 years, your family is pretty stupid and probably vaccinated

in all german speaking countries there are 2 very common sayings:

- bmw stands for bayrischer mistwagen (bavarian trash car)

- when ever you see a bmw, it either comes out of the service workshop or is on its way to tge service workshop

Never owned one, and probably don't want to. Driven a lot of them from friends (2008 7-series, 2011 328i, 2010 x5, 2014 3 series sedan, 2022 x7, 2020 m4 and my observations are: Surprisingly not as unreliable as people say, interior is nice but the idrive system is terrible (supposedly modern ones are better), the steering was destroyed when they switched to drive-by-wire, the x7 and 7 series are the only quiet/comfy models, the m4 is far beneath competitors like the audi rs5 - driving feels unpredictable, the brakes are grabby and the turbo is peaky - you feel zero power then suddenly way too much. The weirdest thing that I can't explain is that it actually does turn you into an asshole driver, at least in the coupes. I'm not meming, in a bmw coupe I was too aggressive, never signaling, driving too fast etc. I admit I have a soft spot for the 2000s era m3 and m5, but I wouldn't want to own a modern one.
