What is the fucking point of ON/OFF buttons of cruise control? I turn it ON by fucking setting the speed, and I turn it OFF by braking, pressing the clutch or cancel. Is there any use for another abstraction layer? I could have used twose two buttons under my thumb for radio control (next, prev, start/stop).
Useless piss of shit, only forces me to press once more button every time I drive somewhere.
Also, why the fuck American cars (even American-made versions of eurocars) don't have ACC. It's 2026, for fucks sake. You all like automatic cars anyway, you put a line on controlling the speed?

>What is the fucking point of ON/OFF buttons of cruise control?
I believe it's there to prevent accidental activations and be another way to deactivate if it won't any other way.
>ACC
Every car I've had has one. Long ago it used to be turn it counter clockwise one click but since the 90's it's been the next click clockwise from Lock, with two clicks being Run, and the third being Start.

Easier to set the speed to current speed by turning on
Not everyone wants to slow down by braking when turning off
Also most cruise control systems allow for a level of braking to manually decrease speed while still having cruise control engaged, going back up to set speed once braking is done

I like to turn mine off and coast when there is a lower speed limit up ahead. But I have different buttons, you can turn the whole system on/off with one button, but there is also a "0" button which temporarily turns it off, and resume button to continue at the last set speed.

sometime acc is terrible
honda is shit. at lowest following distance its still too far
it fucking rides the brakes instead of using the throttle plate to decelereate.
just constant brake riding.
if you are ever behind a car and their brake lights keep coming on and off all the fucking time, chances are its acc being a fag.

That's what the reset and cancel buttons are for. Yes, those are useful
On / off are useless
