Are these still worth it 15 years later? 250hp really isn't much at all by todays standards. But I need a cheap new daily and its this or a Fusion

>250hp isnt much
Can you please go fuck yourself
>>
>>28963620
250hp, especially in a smaller car is more than enough to outpace 99% of cars in traffic, and plenty to break every speed limit in the country
>>
Good luck finding a clean example. Most of them have been beaten to shit or are highly and untastefully modded. I was looking last year and that's all I could find.

$15k is rape, that should be a $10-12k car. You can pick up a Mk7.5 GTi for that much from a dealer which was a better car in literally every way and if you find a 2018+ with no sunroof bulletproof by German standards. Or a Veloster/Kona N.

Hell, $20-24k gets you into a GR86/BRZ, VB WRX, or Hyundai N (late model Veloster N, Kona N, pre-facelift Elantra N)
>>
get a ford fusion v6

>pikachu
they're american cars
>>

That doesn't matter when a F-150 is faster than you. That's just embarrassing.

>>28963647
Nah they're a euro car that was brought over only to fail miserably.
>>
>>28963657
even then a euro car isnt pikachu whatever

thats reserved for asian cars
>>
>>28963657
what does it matter if a car is faster than mine on paper if they still never rev past 3k and keep driving the same speed as everyone else?
>>
>>28963638
>You can pick up a Mk7.5 GTi
no thanks

I'm quite fond of mine.
Great daily, nice handling if you don't overdo it, more power than you'll ever need.
They can be had without most of the finnicky assistance systems / electric hatch & handbrake crap.
It has start&stop but just turns it off a few months after getting a new battery anyways.
FWD so wheels will slip in 3rd if you run shit tires.
Intereror has plenty of room, but if you're large check if you can handle the seats.
Can't tow anything, no hitch to transport bikes either.
Averages about 8l/100km for me, best I've had was 6.0 for a whole tank of low-speed highway.
Large turning radius but managable, good backup-camera (you'll need it)
Downsides: can't jump-start another car with it, rear brakes rust a lot, Ford quality pastics, door seals fall off (just glue them back on)
No clue about the US used car prices though.

I've put 90k on mine and the only issue I ever had with it was blowing the 2nd gear synchro with flat foot shifting on 200tw tires.

iirc they have comparable 0-60 times, and obviously incomparable lap times
>>
>>28964212
I know they're good cars I had one in 2014 before trading it in on a RS in 2017. But that was a long time ago before everything was electrified
