Would you still care about cars if teleports were a thing?

Everyone assumes I have somewhere to be.I’m a NEET, I have nowhere to be. I drive in such a way that I can maximize the number of red lights where I’m at the front. You see me redlining to the next red? That’s me having this old concept called “fun.”
Even in a world where humanity has reached its peak like in Star Trek, people still don't use teleports everywhere and all the time. Not to say those destroy your body at a molecular level before reconstructing it, surely this will scare someone
Honestly, no. My mindset is if I'm going to be forced to drive a car, I should make it an enjoyable experience. If I'm not forced to drive a car, then I don't care. >>28963891No
What the fuck kind of bullshit sci-fi crap is this?Take it to /vrpg/ or /cgl/.
you cant trick me i know those things kill you
>>28963885Yes. I still drive my car for the fun of it, so I don't see why it'd be any different.
>>28963885I paid some money for a corolla, I don't care about cars *now*
cars are a mix of art and science. they move through air, which has low enough resistance that unlike boats a car can be designed in pretty much any way one wants. but they also move slowly enough that unlike aircraft, aerodynamics aren't the primary considerationcars are a display of both the designer's ability and engineer's taste, and we should treat them as such
>>28963885Probably, when I was younger and went out on drives just to be out.Now I prefer to stay at home and only go out for errands. Even if I think I might go for a drive when I'm setting out once I'm done with the errand I end up just going straight home again so teleportation would be great.
