I've noticed some rust developing on my car which has bubbled the paint (Just surface rust for now). The car (Ford Fiesta 2013) had a major service recently, and came back normal, so I don't think the rust has gone too deep. Picrel is example of damage. How much would you be willing to pay a bodyshop for removal? (UK)

£300-£500, plus or minus VAT.

When you start noticing rust on an unprotected/exposed area, you probably catch it early. When you see bubbles beneath the paint, that shit might have been festering for a while.

Depends on how nice you want the car to look, but If the rust hasn't already eaten the car from the inside out, then they'll just rub it down to bare metal, treat the rust, and have it resprayed; £300 maybe? If the rust *has* eaten the car from the inside out, then you're looking at something closer to £500-700 depending on how good of a job you want, how far the rust has travelled, and how complex the panel is. I myself would just sand it back to bare metal, spray some rust convertor on it, and call it good, because spending any significant amount of money on a fiesta of that vintage seems like a waste.

blending the paint and the clearcoat is a total mystery to me. i can do the sanding and rust removal but i just get a shop do the rest. last place i went to charged £300 a panel, maybe different now.
