The upper management & c-level wagieholics at my company have decided to scrap the only good thing that came out of the pandemic (wfh) and now I will be forced in to the cage - four times a week

Since the supposed amazing public transport system in my western european country is just disgusting and tiresome, I plan on simply commuting by car (would be just a 25 min drive to the office)

So my question would be, which car is the easiest and most effortless to drive, like so smooth and intuitive that it almost feels like it’s driving itself

>very little maintanence

>no dealership to deal with. Just buy it at set price and be off.
Bunch of other stuff that I am too lazy to list.

i'm sorry my friend, my faggot boss is doing the same thing. after 6 years of WFH, he decided that he wants to larp as some kind of bigshot tech boss, so he's calling everyone back into the office.
it's a 45 minute commute (I'm rural, on acreage).

I've decided I'm just not going to do it.

Oh no! You have to work to get paid!? Heaven forbid! The people working in the grocery store you use make $16/hr no benefits and have to lug boxes around in freezer rooms.
I respect the “just not gonna do it” attitude, a lot, but let’s be real here, going into work isn’t a big ask when you’re paid well.

They're doing a real job, with real work, that can only be done on site.
if you have a 'job' that can be done at home, and there's no real upside to being in the same physical space as the same people with similar 'jobs' -- it's silly.

Spending 90 extra minutes out of your day in a car, and spending obscene amounts of money on gas to facilitate that is silly.

I’m a software engineer, my friends from college are software engineers. They do drugs and watch tv or play video games on another monitor all day and cheat steal or AI their work. They bitch about having an 8am teleconference where they don’t even have to say anything.
If those grocery workers are going into work and need to maintain a car and be monitored every hour, maybe they should be paid more? Just do your damn job, go to work if you want to be paid well.

>>
>>28964464
Working from home is fine for my job, it's been working great for a few years now. This is just a case of a cunty faggot shithead boss who wants to appear like a bigshot.
There's literally no solid business case for leasing a building, paying for utilities, etc just so he can have his minions in the same building.

Fuck him.

As for the grocery store guys, I mean, could they do another gig and make more money?
>>
>>28964467
I disagree. I’m a software engineer, I like to get my work done as quickly as possible.
But, when you go to the office you work. It is a significant difference in output.
There’s no “oh, I have a sofa delivery that I’m just going to be paid for without working,” or “my aunt really needed someone to talk to for an hour as I wave the mouse around.”
If you don’t want to go into work, justify why you should be paid multiple times more than someone who has to have a running car to get to work, where a car failure could get them fired.
This is how other people see it, be aware of that.

>I’m a software engineer
you're a commie desu
>blah blah your effort should dictate your pay, not your skills, not the difficulty of your job, but how hard you work
Any shit chucking ape can lug boxes in a warehouse, but it takes a special kind of code monkey to call himself a 'software engineer'.

Roughly speaking driving in is going to be a tax of about $450 a month in gas, and an extra 7.5 hours of time I could spend on better things. So yeah, fuck my boss for pulling this shit :)
Sorry you're too much of a bootlicking cunt to realize needlessly pulling remote workers in IT gigs into an office to satisfy managerial egos is silly. Keep fighting the good fight for the common working man though comrade!

Seems fake. My Tesla and every Tesla in my neighborhood doesn't have that issue. Did someone take that pic after an accident? Pretty common for cars to do that after crashing.

>>
>>28964588
You do realize people get to see the entire car before accepting it, right? I'm not sure if you've ever purchased a car, but you get to look at it before committing. This means there are three possibilities:
1. The photo is before delivery. So it would be noticed and rejected.
2. The photo is after an accident, which there are plenty of photos of.
3. The photo is of someone who didn't care, making the issue irrelevant.

>>28964370
life is short, get a miata or something you can change gears in manually and that has a high redline that you can utilize in your gay, failed socialist experiment.
Ideally, quit your job and wfh for an overseas country so you can make more money and take advantage of socialist benefits.
>>
>>28964759
These have air suspension and that's probably the lowest highway or entry position. People drive them on-road because they're extremely practical and extremely comfy. While they are huge they're only 400lbs heavier than a M5 Touring. They also get 30+mpg highway which is not inefficient here in the free world. tldr: because we can.
>>

But I can do that in my A6 Avant.

A Tesla that drives itself. Not my style; but if you just want to be commuted with minimal effort then that's the way to go.

They're really pretty disappointing when it comes to comfort. Maybe they're gatekeeping the good stuff for the Escalade.
