Have you ever gotten a fix it ticket?https://streamable.com/9dh1lx
>>28964672No I live in the free world. We only need inspections here if we want full coverage on our vehicles. I passed one of those inspections with more than half of my body mounts missing lol. You can get a ticket for a burnt out taillight, etc but you're not forced to fix it.
>>28964677God I wish
>>28964672yes. straight pipe exhaust and selective yellow headlightsfor the straight pipe, i shoved steel wool in there and a brickdrove to the po-po, they looked at the car from their office and dismissed the ticket. i drove away and gave it all the beans and shot a flaming wad of steel wool out the back. had the car like that for 6 more years, never got a ticket againfor the selective yellow, i went to court, installed regular headlights, fat cop went to inspect the car, saw that i was parked far as fuck, and said fuck it. ticket dismissed. i went back to my car, put the yellow bulbs back in and that was the only time in 20 years ive ever gotten a ticket for selective yellow headlights and i run them in every car ive owned.
Got pulled over for tint (like 35%) driving from WA to MN, in ND. Explained to the dude that it didn't really make sense to try to enforce state laws on out-of-state vehicles, and he was just like 'well uh, keep your windows rolled down' and just let me go. RIP tint bro.
Yes, for a burnt out headlight.
yeah but unless the cop hates you over here they dont even count for anything, you get two weeks to fix it and if they pull you over for the same problem later on its an actual ticket and possible trip to engineers.
I just got pulled over on my birthday by a sheriff on supervised training for no front license plate.
>>28964672I got one a couple years ago because both taillights were out for who knows how long. he originally stopped me for speeding and when I hit the brakes to pull over he saw that neither one lit up.I really don't get how nobody's come up with some way for the car to alert you with a dash light when a taillight bulb is out, there's not really any way to know without having someone else tell you and sometimes that someone else is a cop.Anyways I put in new bulbs and went to get the ticket signed and the fatass cop didn't even check, he just glanced over my shoulder at my car and signed it.
>>28964848>I really don't get how nobody's come up with some way for the car to alert you with a dash light when a taillight bulb is outThis has been a thing for like 20 years.
>>28964848>>28964870i swesr there was one model of 60s car that had fiber optic dots on the rear that you could use to tell if the brake lights broke
I got pulled over for driving with ambers (parking lights) on in the daytime. Closest I’ve got.>>28964877I occasionally check them just by looking in the mirror when stopped and seeing if the lights are reflected off of the car behind me.
>>28964848you can just back up near a store window and look at your reflection..
>>28964848There's this thing called a rock, or the more-advanced form, a brick, and you can set it on the brake pedal to depress the switch to activate the lights. Alternatively, it also helps to have a friend or family member or girlfriend or the courage to ask a random bro at the gas station...
>>28964926Sounds like a whole heck of a lot of work.
