>Get summoned for jury duty
>Courthouse is smack dab in the middle of downtown
>Construction on every corner
>Fight through a bullshit maze of one way streets
>Screw it. I'll just pay for parking at one of these lots down the street
>Walk all the way to courthouse and arrive a few minutes late
>Go up and greet guy at the front
>He looks at his little list of names
>You're all set. You can go.
>Mfw
It's my civic duty or something.

I've still yet to be summoned for jury duty. I figured posting on here was why I haven't yet.
>>
>>28967134
I've also been summoned, sat in the jury pool for 7 hours, then was told to go home. It isn't that fun.
>>
>>28967137
Not doubting that, but several friends my age have been. Feels good so far to not have been summoned.

getting up early and having to park a block or two away makes me want to punch a wall

pulling up to the taco bell 2 days late because some retard rolled one of the rear windows down too far so the mechanism jammed so I have to completely disassemble the door in order to remove the motor and pull it back up (mine is a 1990)

I had one of these when I was younger. God, I loved it. But it caught on fire when it wasn't even running and burnt to the ground due to an unfixed recall I didn't know about. Still sad over that, loved that car to death.

I just got summoned a couple weeks ago and pulled up early in my 04 LeSabre like a responsible citizen. I did get selected for a jury but the Judge delayed the case because he had Memorial Day plans on his boat, which he told us.
>>
>>28967134
I've gotten summons 4 times but these other anons must live in the 20th century because the jury intake process is all online in my experience.

Everyone I know who rides has had multiple friends die on bikes. Hell, I don’t even ride and half the people I know who did are dead. So fucking cool.

Riding is the best filter, it keeps our subculture sacred. I've been riding since I was a kid, I'm in my late 30s and still ride everyday and not dead. Those who don't respect the ride, will learn the hard way, and this keeps riding honest. Dying sucks but this is the way

You're probably the one on trial if you're driving a panther lol. The original owners of these have dies and now they're driven solely by crackheads.
>>
>>28967385
are you from an alternate universe? cars that used to be associated with old people are popular amongst young people because they're reliable and cheap both in initial cost and cost of ownership. panthers in particular are the best example, but another is the buick lesabre

I just had jury duty last spring. It was all in paper and you have to take a day off and drive downtown for the intake process. Took hours just to finally be given the questionnaire in a room with probably 150 people. I was one of maybe 10 white people, it was hot inside. And our courthouse bans phones so I just sat in a plastic chair for hours.
Then you pay for parking and go home or back to work for a couple hours if you can.
Online would make so much more sense.
>>
>take intake off to fix massive oil and vaccuum leak
>finally get it all back together

Fuck this gay earth

I live in the real world. I don't know what realm you live in. Young people have zero interest in driving grandpa mobiles, they would rather take the bus. They all want shit like Civics and BMW's.

you're describing browns which i guess statistically is a lot of young people these days

You jinxed me, OP.

if you're lucky you'll just sit there for some hours and get sent home
otherwise if you get brought in for selection you have to make them think you're either mentally chill or retarded or an extremist. or find an opportunity to casually reference nullification
>>
>>28968621
The trick is, when the questionnaire asks what TV shows you like, write “crime dramas” and “Japanese animation.” Works every time.
>>
>>28967080
funny thing about jury duty, is the democrats tried to condition juries to convict anyone that's mean to niggers
>>
>>28968621
>if you're lucky you'll just sit there for some hours and get sent home
That was last year. It's still just a waste of time. They want to do it right in the middle of my only beach vacation this year. I have found out that they don't like scientists. Having people that only look at evidence and the lawyers have less sway with oratory is determined detrimental to both sides.

Funny thing about jury duty is you probably won't even get to make a ruling. 95% of cases end in a plea bargain because the prosecutors throw bogus charges at defendants to get them to plea bargain and accept the charges they think will actually stick.

For example last time I had jury duty the guy was charged with assault with strangulation which had a 2 year sentence that he'd already served and wrongful imprisonment which had a potential 6 year sentence. The guy had slapped his girlfriend and grabbed her around the throat in the course of telling her to drive him to a friend's house after he found out she was cheating on him. They stopped at a gas station and he got out of the car and told her to wait for him on two separate occasions and she did without making an attempt to drive off. The prosecutor still claimed that he wrongfully imprisoned her somehow by keeping her from leaving. The jury was unanimous that the charge was bullshit; but the threat of it still got the guy to accept a plea bargain and plead guilty to the assault charge which is what the prosecutor wanted. Waste of the entire jury's time just so the justice system could pretend it still has jury trials.
