accurate?
>>28967565Ram is probably the one rock solid thing Chrysler makes, so that should be at least a C. GMC is literally just fancy Chevies, that should also be at least a C. For Mitsubishi to be good, it would require them to actually sell more than 100 cars a year, so i would move them to a D.In no world are Hyundai and Kia on par with Ford or above Chevrolet. Brand new, sure but they continue having catastrophic long term issues and have a putrid dealer network. Move both down to a D.Tesla is not an F because the newer model 3s are rather reliable and inexpensive.Lexus should be higher, probably A.
>>28967565Why is Mini higher than BMW?
>>28967565>Lexus at C
Why are Nissan and Infiniti F but Mitsubishi is C? Aren't they same cars?
>>28967565This is a well made troll image because it includes a few "anchor truths" to give it a veneer of respectability, along with a whole lot of smaller, mildly infuriating bullshit claims to get (You)s
>>28967681No. Infinitis are Nissans, Nissans are Renaults and Mitsubishis are mystery meat
>>28967565>Honda A, Acura CRetarded >Toyota A, Lexus CRetarded >kia/hyundai BThey're genuinely F tier>Subaru AThey're a C at best>Porsche Fdespite being the most reliable German manufacturer
>>28967690It's made some kid who played forza verizon once and thinks he's a car expert now
>Tesla Fyour EV hatred is showing luddite
If we're talking about long-term feasibility tiers most brands will be in F and even then its all on a car-by-car basis due to previous owners either being lazy with maintenance or doing none at all.Even then if I ever saw a used car that wasn't>Toyota>Honda>Mazda>Acura>Lexus>BMW>Mercedes-BenzI wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole because the chances of them being busted is so high. Especially any American cars or Made in USA Mazdas, Nissans, Volkswagens, etc.I'd maybe make an exception for a Mitsubishi Lancer, but any decent ones are either toast or never touching the used market for another year depending on if the economy tanks and people start dumping vehicles.
>>28967565>mitsubishi same as lexuslol
>>28967777>used BMWThose are the biggest traps in the used market, the likelihood of them having been abused and maintenance skimped on is very high, they're basically on the same tier as the popular Japanese tuner cars.
>>28967565Put chevy where ford is and mitsubishi where Kia is and you'd be pretty accurate.Although lexus and Acura being low down doesn't make much sense.
>>28967690>most reliable German manufacturerthey aren't. they're just the least driven so they rarely if ever rack up miles. the "preventative maintenance" is also in the tens of thousands just to keep them on the road. they only look reliable in a vacuum.
>>28967690anything that deviates from the NA 4 cylinder takes a hit to reliability, it doesnt matter if toyota and honda are making a v8 its still a v8
>>28968132V8 engines are inherently more reliable because 4cyl engines are high stress
>>28967565There's really only a few viable cars made.Toyota 4Runner, Corolla, Prius, SiennaFord F150, Super Duty, Ranger, MustangTesla 3Jeep WranglerMercedes G wagon (yes unfortunately)Nissan Armada FrontierChevy Corvette Mazda MiataThese are realistically the only vehicles made today that make sense to own for 10+ years. Everything else is disposable slop.
>>289682487/10 bait. Nice write up.
>>28967565Used jeep should be below the graph.
>>28967565Mazda is down there with Nissan. Idk where this Mazda love is coming from, people who haven't owned one I guess. Absolute shit heap, everything falls apart on it. Mine has a crooked door that doesn't shut properly from the factory. Both sun visors lost their tightness and just hang, require big ugly binder clips to keep their tension now. The parking brake won't turn off sometimes when I start it, I have to restart and try again. Automatic trunk hatch has slowed down to a snails pace and won't latch, I have to latch it by pushing it down, and it's also crooked so not very easy to do.It's a 2 year old car. Absolutely shit tier.
>>28968431did you get the CX-30? that's Mexican.
>BMW>F tierCan someone explain this to me? Last car I had was a 325i from 2003 drove that thing across the country and basically until the wheels were literally about to fall off (flood in arizona did a number on it). Probably put +30k miles on it using it as my A->B car around Phoenix and sometimes to LA and back. Now needing a new car to get around, mostly WFH but do need winter car.Picrel, looking for a car to drive around town and seems fine. Am I missing something horrible other than maintenance costs are a bit high? I only drive about 5-10ish miles a day.
>>28967565Buick in A tier. Could be S if they kept the 3800. By that subject, most anything with a 3800 is at least A tier.
>>28967565>Kia>B tiernever mind this is some subtle b8
>>28968477It's just poorcels or terrible bait. Putting kia/hyundai in B tier and subaru in A tier is fucking laughable.
>>28967682good observation
GM below ford and koreanigga
>>28968493Yeah I didn't notice he Kia up there and then it all clicked lmao. I get BMW's suck in maintenance costs from time to time but I can't recall anything that would instantly make them F's
I get OP is bait but it's sad how many people will basically shit on anything not toyota or honda for the used market. I was shopping for a used car ~5k USD which is fairly easy in the midwest just to get to and from work. The amount of friends and coworkers who immediately became car experts in 30 seconds was astounding. Was looking at some used nissans, a mazda, and ford; all around 5k with okay milage. Everything I wanted to get was wrong despite only needing to drive to the office once a week+once a week for groceries, if I didn't get a high milage honda or toyota I was just pissing money down the drain. Why is the discussion of the used car market like this
>>28968477don't buy f10s with xdrive, they chew through front cv axlesdon't buy an N55 either unless you know what exactly you are getting yourself intoif you like the f10 see if you can find one with the n52 and rear wheel drivethe n52 will have higher maintenance costs than the m54 you had but not completely insane
>>28968535I mean, for what 7.5-8 grand? Not really expecting much as long as it lasts me 3-4 years. I mean I live in Fargo ND, not really too much to drive around to but I need something for winters. I think my average ride is about 6.5 miles round trip, so in winter my car will just be idling to warm in the -20 to -30F weather than actually rolling.
>>28968168>3x more moving partslol lmao
>>289685474 cyl motors require balancing shafts
>>28968544if you decide to buy the car in question i recommend warming it up properly once a week and blasting up and down the highway
i never had a problem with any of my used cars except one. Hyundai
>buying usedalso UDM number 1always
>>28967565>buying a used SubaruI SERIOUSLY hope you guys don’t do that
>>28967565Where the hell is Maruti Suzuki?
>>28967690>Porsche, the most reliable German manufacturerPanzer division soldaten would like to word have word with you.
>>28967565Hyundai/Kia belong in F simply due to the Theta engines being unfixable
Based on my own personal experience
>>28968810what country do you live in where you had access to skoda but also pontiac???
>>28967565No, Kia's are dogshit, put them in C or D, Mitsubishi should be in both A and B, depending on the model and year of car, 4wd or truck, the quality varies pretty wildly, but they made a number of vehicles that earned them the badge of the poor mans toyota.
