Cope and seethe.
>>28967593I'd rather have the LS swapped S2000
>>28967593Why would I, when I see such a beauty
>>28967609Too nose heavy. Balance is key.
Finally a toyota that is actually reliable and fun to drive
>>28967637may I see it driving funly and reliably?
>>28967593That gap in front of block is where a horizontally mounted intercooler should be.
>>28967609didn't ask bucko, mald and dilate.
>>28967593>slower and less reliableRather be jerkin off watching cartoons than build something like this
>>28967662>Rather be jerkin off watching cartoonsincel wrenchlet hands typed this
>>28967621>retains 50/50 balance>pushrod motor has lower COG than tall ass DOHC I4
>>28967593>put a tiny engine in an overweight vehicleNobody cares. Nobody coped. They just laughed because it was a stupid idea.
>>28967885
>>28967884>>28967609kek, everyone who seethes at LS swaps always makes up the balance shit and they're always wrong. LS swaps don't ruin the balance.
>look at me I put a 4cyl in a pigfat burgerclap car to own THA HATERZ
>>28968066For $12k you can make the F20c have much more power than 430 hp Shitrods are garbage
>>28968153also blow up far sooner, too.
>I added complexity and paid $10,000 to get basically the same powerOkay
>>28967593why do american cars have such huge bonnets if there is nothing in them ?
>>28968066I only seethe at LS swaps because quite frankly they are boring. You name the vehicle and someone, somewhere has probably put an LS in one. For the same reason I also seethe at K swaps. I completely understand why people do it, and why it is so popular, but it's boring.
>>28967884I don't get it. Why do that to a S2000 that already had a great engine or rather is legendary BECAUSE of the engine? I do get LS swaps but in this case it makes no sense. Swapping literally anything else would make more sense.
>>28968238there are 8 billion people in the world. someone, somewhere, has done everything you'll ever do before you ever thought of it.
>>28968153Yeah and completely destroy the "feel" of the original car with a bunch of turbo lag. Or you could swap in a V8 and keep the linear feel of the original N/A engine while tripling the power. >>28968241The original engine is NOT great.
>>28968241>why would you want an extra 200hp and 270lb-ft of torque without upsetting the balance and while lowering the COG>b-b-but muh revsYou'd be surprised, but people who have driven V8s don't care about gutless 4cyls ability to rev to the moon. An S2000 makes less hp and half the torque of a 2V Mustang at the end of the day, even though it revs 3k rpm higher.
>>28968281For sure, but when it comes to LS and K swaps, they are just fucking everywhere. I go to my local meets and all the old boomers have LS swapped hotrods, and all the jap cars are K swapped. It's boring.
>>28968325Who fucking cares if it's boring? That's not the point of doing the swap. You do it for the performance and a LS gives you the most performance for your dollar. Would you rather somebody Cummins or Detroit Diesel swap these cars instead? Is that more exciting for you? What other engines do you suggest as a better alternative?
>>28967593>Cope and seethe. It's not cope. It's not seething.I'd rather have a GNX, but you be you.
K swaps are great in light cars. K swapped elise, mr2s, minis, even e30s are unfathomly based. But putting one in a vette is just quirky for the sake of it. It's like putting a 13b in an s2000.
>>28968331Imagine the itbs right behind your head at like 9k rpm. I would cum
>>28968331>mr2Why would you K swap when you can 2GR swap? And keep a Toyota engine in a Toyota
>>28968327how about a fiat two cylinder?
>>28968391>mr2Blind, retarded, or troll?
>>28968393I'm gonna go with your blind, because he mentions MR2s
>>28968405Yeah, after I re-read I realized you were talking about him mentioning MR2s. Not the Elise in the pic. My bad.
>>28968412Happens to the best of us friend.
>>28968327I don't care what they do to their cars, just don't expect me to find it interesting. Yes, a Cummins or Detroit Diesel is far more interesting, and takes a lot more skill to accomplish. K Swaps and LS swaps are easy to do, and that is not a bad thing, but it has just made them the default engine.
v8 derangement syndrome captures yet another victim
>>28967593Kinda cool. The king of 4cyls replacing the king of 8cyls. I personally think the KSwapped Porsches make more sense though. Sadly LS and Ks are both slowly getting more and more expensive though.
>>28968312Lets be honest. The original F series had "turbo lag" of its own. It didnt really wake up until 4-5k rpm. With a small ball bearing turbo itll make boost under 2k rpm and probably push 300+ at the wheels pretty easily to get a V8 feel.Or put a moderately sized turbo for some turbo lag and retain something closer to the old VTEC feel
>>28969371>any turbo>V8 feellol
>>28969372Post tools>You wont
>>28969378every time i post my tools for you you start crying and triple posting so i'll embarass you again if you really want but fr bro take my advice and just quit now while you think you're ahead.
>>28968241It's probably objectively more fun with the LS, unfortunately. It doesn't gain a bunch of weight, but it gains a boatload of torque and power, and with no lag. Sure, a turbo F20 could easily make LS power, but NA response is just better. That's the whole reason I'm not an anti LS swap guy even though I get bored of seeing the same shit over and over. There's just no arguing with the instant torque and power of an NA V8, and LS engines aren't even heavy. Fake LS swaps with iron block truck engines are heavy, but real LS swaps aren't.
>>28969639Do it fag>You wont
>>28969901this is just a taste.
>>28968241the s2000 is a great racing chassis and the engine is notoriously difficult and expensive to make real power with
>>28969677Great argument. By that reasoning every car should be EV because of instant and endless torque.
>engine in the front cringe
>>28970195gee who would have thought an engine that already makes the specific power goals of most high dollar NA builds doesn't have a ton of head room for tuning.
>>28970195The engine is well known for reliably taking lots of boost and making big power.
>i'm a real car enthusiast but ONLY if it makes a billion gazillion hp!!!!!ls swap retards needs to be gatekept
>>28967593My god, why would you do that? I mean, the K series is a nice engine for a 4-banger and all, but it makes no sense to replace an LS with one. You're going to be way down on torque for not a whole lot in weight reduction once you factor in the weight of the turbo kit and intercooler.
