OP, you know how disingenuous that is. It's a weak strawman.
Maybe all of 5 people ever asked for something like that.
>>
>>28969036
Even if OP is being hyperbolic what he says is still true. Barely anyone buys enthusiast cars now and it's not some heavily guarded secret. One of the reasons is w*men.

>Umm it’s an suv

There are many reasons other than "it's just what people want."
-9/11 led to military spending, people went into debt to maintain their lifestyle, then the bottom dropped out in '08 and most people don't have that sort of disposable income. Yes, I'm largely blaming Osamo and military spending.
-Social media has created a culture where if you stand out in any way, people will make fun of you. So everyone does and buys the exact same shit for fear of being seen as an outsider. You'll get more respect with a fancy badge than a car that drives well.
-Cell phone video cameras, traffic cams, and plate scanners killed a lot of the fun - that 6 year old in the back seat of the car next to you can narc you out.
-People are getting fat and lazy sitting in front of screens all day and mildly physical pursuits are just too much for them.
-Cars are insanely more expensive to maintain and repair now. My '90s car costs basically nothing to maintain, a fender bender in a new car could cost $10k+. Eventually this leads to kids not getting cars or wanting them, as we see today.
-CAFE 2012 laws with the footprint calc. Small cars became too expensive to produce due to gov't fees that larger vehicles didn't have to pay. Crossovers are still classified as "light trucks" by CAFE so manufacturers shifted to selling those and intentionally ignored their smaller cars, giving the new generation the impression that all sedans and coupes are trash because they don't make a lot of good ones anymore.

It’s mostly about money
2010 was peak online car culture imho, you could buy japanese and american sportscars for pennies. Before social media you could buy dirt cheap 300 horsepower two seaters for a months wage. Now the demand is ridiculously high while nobody buys new sportscars to replace the old, causing cars that used to be mcdonalds employee vehicles to be unaffordable to middle managers making 50k a year

It’s even worse in Europe

Should have put that 6liter Hemi V8 into a sedan or station wagon. Most of true car guys never wanted any SUV's unless they started a a family and became fathers of children.

>>it flops
Theyre still selling it since 2011 you disingenuous fag.
