>izusu and suzuki an herod themselves in the us?
That's a funny way of saying they were pushed out by unfair competition practices and the US government propping up their failing automotive industry.

Suzuki has subjugated India and is now expanding its empire in the east.
Izusu has mastered the art of sumo and rarely bothers with anything under 5 tons.
>>
My first car was a 5spd Isuzu rodeo I bought when I was 16 for $800. I'm retrospect, it was a pile junk but fun to drive

Delusions.
These two brands were ALWAYS 'also rans' in the jap cars in america even back when jap cars were considered above average.
Hell even Mitsu was a stronger competitor than either of these two.
Just consider that the least reliable "honda" was actually an "isuzu" and that'll tell you all you need to know.

Suzuki was framed and Isuzu only ever profits from their cabover trucks.

The 2020+ Mazda BT50 is rebadged Isuzu D max.

but Japan was built on unfair competition practices like currency manipulation which makes their exports cheaper and all imports more expensive. japanese manufacturers have never even had competition within their own borders. they never played fair to begin with.

it's telling when you can buy an import in america for far cheaper than you could in Japan. go look up all the shit japan does to prop up its own industry. there's a laundry list of it.

>also rans

We have no isuzu where i am but suzuki absolutely dominates. There isnt even any of the american big 3 here. Not even mitsubishi either.

Just toyota, suzuki, nigsan, hyundai, kia,

esl or gen alpha
call it

Considering that Japanese corporations aren't entirely free to do as they will, I wouldn't be surprised to find the Japanese government told them to go play somewhere else. Further, I wouldn't be shocked to find that Toyota was ultimately behind any such suggestion.

>oh yeah, those guys were there too

BT-50 is a rebodied D-Max. They don't share sheetmetal.

New cars in Japan are dirt cheap, what's high are the running costs which increase with the age of the car so drivers are incentivised to sell them for export, usually at the 2 year mark, even at a higher price than they bought them.

This beats the banker because new cars aren't sitting in the lot piling up taxes, Japanese drivers get a new car and even make a profit from their old car, and used-car destinations can get a low-milage car for 2/3's of the price of new, everyone wins except the usurer.

It's 2am and I'm wated but I wanna yo bring back real trucks for dirt cheap and no tech.
safety is gay and should not dictate cost.
>>
>>28970228
Forgot to add that the new car dealerships in the destination countries aren't really losing money because the warranties get transferred and people service their imports at the dealership which is pure profit.
>>

new domestic japanese built cars in japan are dirt cheap. new imports to japan are expensive as all shit because of the exchange rate. a new base model corvette STARTS at the equivalent of 100k USD in japan, and for the higher trims you're looking at 200k in USD.

Lets forget the previous 40+ years where the ford ranger, courier i n ROW markets were all badged Mazda B series. They simply got too poor to keep doing it
