Lexus decided to cancel, whatever this was going to be. My theory is they should turn full sized luxury cars into wagons, because people that rich can certainly afford to also have a truck of SUV if they want that, and you would get a better ride quality and more practicality from a wagon shape than any other. Too bad ALL the Lexus engines except the V8 are cursed. Well, just the turbo V6 is cursed, and the NA 4 is rough and cheap, but I don't think they really put the NA V6 in too much stuff other than the Grand Highlander I wanna say. If they just said "we are sorry our engines are crap here is a new 4 and 6, clean sheet design" their sales would go up and make up the money spent to do it. Ditto Kia needs to do this too. Apparently Toyota is developing a new 2L turbo 4 but it's not in retail cars yet.
Sedans are dead and small SUVs killed them (& for good).
>>28969875The N/A V6s are basically DOA due to MPG and emissions targets.Everything is gonna be a turbo 4 until the new us out of gas cars in 20 years.
>>28969888wagons could come back to replace sedans for luxury vehicles>>28969899the na V6 still exists in a few hybrid applications How is CAFE not done by now? Of all the things Trump has done you would think he would have removed it. I guess it's a congressional act and our congress hates us :(not all turbo 4s are created equally
>>28969902Why would be remove it when it helps his buddy Musk?
>>28969939They seem more like frenemies.
>>28969902>wagons could come back to replace sedans for luxury vehiclesNot a chance. Most people still hate wagons. Modern $150k 5500lb wagons don't make any sense. You might as well just go to a SUV at that point. The fact that the Cullinan accounts for 60% of Rolls Royce's total sales backs up my point.
>>28969955nobody hates wagons they just don't sell updated affordable ones
>>28969902Trump bask did get CAFE removed. But car makers arn't gonna change engines when the new president in 2yrs reinstates everything.
>>28970678I thought it was sort of not-complete-removal and more like a suspension.
>>28969875Is this the Lexus Sienna that I've been asking for for years?
>>28970932He just changed it so there are no fees for breaking the law. It’s still law and another regime just has to start enforcing it again by putting fees back.
>>28970966this seems really jewish
