I went and bought car soap for the first time in a while.
I couldn't believe the packaging, they got rid of the carry handle? For what fucking purpose, other than the fact I assume its cheaper to make? Gotta extend those shareholder profits.
Seriously, I was in Wal-Mart for a quick errand and wanted to grab this and other item, the entire time walking around my hand was starting to camp with this shit "indent" they supposed to work but fails. When I go to the car wash, I grab the soap and when there dump it in a wash bucket, everything made harder and awkward due to this flawed design. You can't GRIP SHIT. Now I gotta go to the hassle of dumping this soap into the older bottle with a proper handle?
I even found an image for this comparing products. The fuck is the deference recycle wise, they are both plastic?
Meguiars isn't the only brand doing this, I also saw a RainX bottle like this too.
Sorry but I had a long day, I'm miserable, and this little shitty aspect of the bottle design pissed me the fuck off.
Maybe I'll go buy Mothers soap next time, they still care about a good bottle design.

If you took two seconds to look, you'd see they are the same size fluid wise.

>>28969938
Mother's bottle still had a proper carry handle.
>>
>>28969944
no way that's to scale
>>
>>28969965
Very possible, look at the liquid levels. There's a lot of wasted space in that handle area, and it's also probably a little deeper too.

Honestly the bigger thing here is probably them saving on shipping because it's now a denser, smaller package. Get more cases per truck, less shipping fee per item.

My dude one of the reasons packaging changes is the machine mold parts used to make them wear out. Every so often a company has people redesign the container because global markets and material supply and production also changes.
Kind of hard to justify making the same thing the same way when your supplier needs to carry different materials and your manufacturer has to change machines.

Irish names are impossible to pronounce. A lot of names as we know them are Anglicized because no one except the Oirish would know how to pronounce them.

I use meguiars gold class religiously and I didn't even notice the changed the bottle
it's car soap, you pour a dab of it into a bucket every week or so, it could be in a spiked metal cube or a perfectly smooth sphere and it wouldn't make it that much harder to use

Yeah I noticed the same shit, not just the carry handle, but the plastic on the new bottle is almost paper thin. Simoniz still has proper jugs, for now.

>>28970202
Retard the plastic is so thin that you can't even grip it without crushing the bottle. It's almost as thin as the plastic on disposable paperbacked packaging.
>>
>>28970222
i'm guessing that's pronounced Yancy
>>
>>28970202
It's hard to grab, and as other anon said, the plastic is so thin.
Now in a car wash setting, try to grab it when its wet - you can't, its too slippery.

Are you lot retarded? It still has a handle it just doesn't have the hole through it.
t. Work somewhere that retails them

You're supposed to put it in a bucket, with the right mixture of water. And then have a second bucket for dirty water

Have you also noticed that sauce packets don't tear correctly anymore? Nothing works correctly in 2026.
>>
>>28970345
Yeah but now you have to carry it with a whole hand and actively apply pressure the whole time when you used to be able to carry 2 with one hand and just let both of the rest in your grip.
Not one person prototypes the shit they sell any longer and it's driving me insane.

Try grabbing it and see what happens, eventually the bottle is going to crumple and fall out of your grip.

>>28970362
Wrong, the second bucket is for discarding used towels. Start with 6 folded towels soaked in the first bucket, one towel per side of the car, one extra for the end. Flip them around exposing fresh sides as you wipe, finish by using the towel to clean a wheel and dump it in the used bucket. Launder the towels and replace yearly.

>Not one person prototypes the shit they sell any longer

They do, the goal they were optimizing for is to use the space where the handle used to be to hold liquid so they could shrink the size of the bottle and to make the bottle thinner so they could save 2 cents in plastic and fit an extra bottle per carton. By doing so they will save $10 million dollars per year and inconvenience thousands of people just so the CEO can get a 20k bonus payout and the shareholders get one extra penny per share. They know the goyslaves will continue to buy it for a while, just long enough for the CEO to bail and for the shareholders to take profits so it's ok.

>It still has a handle it just doesn't have the hole through it.
That's not a fucking handle it's a plastic intent.
>t. Work somewhere that retails them
If you stock shelves, it's easier to grab something like that with a proper handle, vs whatever shit they have now with the indent. The bottle is a complete failure, backwards progress.

>>28970362
Wow retard thanks I didn't know how to wash a car. You completely missed the point of this thread.

>>28970378

>>
>>28969924
or if you go thru so much product/matters to you that much, you'd just pour it into another bottle and move on?

>I couldn't believe the packaging, they got rid of the carry handle? For what fucking purpose, other than the fact I assume its cheaper to make?

probably, but also tighter packing, less volume, maybe stronger bottle design improvements too.

they probably don't make their own bottles, either.
