Both Car and Driver and Motor Trend got long-term Mazda CX-5 test vehicles, and both have had glitches from the start. I think the new screens on the "new" generation have been fucking up and they took away a lot of physical controls so if the screen doesn't work you are porked.

Infotainment glitches can be fixed with a software update while a hyundai engine is inherently unfix-able and you better pray your inevitable warranty claim won't be rejected.
Personally I would stay away from both of those cars for different reasons but if I had to choose I would go for the proven, underpowered 2.5lt NA and traditional torque converter.
