Crazy how these next gen Toyota's are designed to look futuristic but managed to look dated at the same time.
>>
>>28976134
any jeep made after 2005
any toyota with that new turbo 4cylinder
any vehicle with software or a HUD for your off-road performance metrics
overlanding/offroad driving is the easiest hobby to be a complete poser in now. literally all you need is money and the dealership takes care of the rest for you lol.
>>
Land Cruiser.
Theyre on a completely different level than Subaru and Jeep owners.

>buy roof top tent
>actually use it, go to north cape, all around northern norway and sweden
>finland as well..
once home a friend asked if he could borrow it. but you dont camp? i asked. no but it would look cool on his jeep.

Where do you even get that? They dont aim for that at all.

Roof top tens are such a meme. I don’t understand the appeal. It takes just as long to set up as a trailer.
>>
>Tell my dad I want to start camping in my car since the seats fold into a bed, it's lifted off the ground and it's better security than a tent
>Keeps trying to sell me on overlanding shit like roof tents that cost more than the shitbox it'd be sitting on
>I mention it'd be cool if I could find a used pop up camper cheap since that's all I could really haul anyway
>"You should look at those tear drop campers"
My dad thinks I make six figures apparently.

Towing sucks, especially a short trailer being towed by a (relatively) light short wheelbase vehicle.
>>
>>28976722
No boomers just think it's still 1992 when you could make the equivalent of $70k a year in todays money by simply being alive and white.
>>
>>28976134
What's the white one in the middle? Do we get those in the States?
>>
>>28976700
>trailer.
>offroad.
You sound like a Brit.
We're not talking about the dirt trail that goes from the lower campsite to the upper campsite.
>>
>>28976134
Look at how t hey go and park these thing like this and take pictures of it
toytota is theee worst for this gay stuff man

Pretty sure that's just a 3D render/composite for a marketing package.

It's a thing, but you wouldn't know
>>
>>28976700
It's weighing the pros and cons of keeping stuff in the car and sleeping on top of it or keeping stuff on top of the car and sleeping in it.
You only need to climb up into a tent once a day vs multiple times a day when you're getting stuff out of a roof box. You can fit more gear in the car than on top of it, because a roof tent is collapsible but a box isn't.

Has there been a car you could buy with an optional tent other than the Aztek?
Show up to the meet, pitch a tent, and bathe in the admiration.
>>
>>28977065
Those trailers are a joke and literally made just for the like&subscribe lifestyle you fucking tool.
>>
>>28977065
Do you really not understand why someone would prefer a roof tent to this?
>>
>>28976700
you havent camped much i see. the appeal of a rtt is its always there yet never in the way. thats the deal with most other tent setups, they are always in the way. and its a common saying we larp by driving around with our tents all the time, and its kinda true. we can, because the tent is not in our way? its just there?
>>
>>28977093
there's an OEM mazda tent for the cx-50
>>
>>28976180
Yep, regardless of how much they actually use it you're paying in excess of 50k AUD to LARP as a bushman.

I'd buy pic related in a heartbeat if it was available in the US (assuming it was priced similar to a Ranger/Explorer)

I'm buying a Delica and I might LARP in that some, even though I'm 90% positive I'll be doing baby-tier van camping in it because we have shit fuck all for public land around here.
>>
as a city slicker, I much prefer camping in an SUV than a tent

it's a bit more cramped sure, but I hate the vulnerability of sleeping in a tent. plus it's more of a hassle than folding the seats down and sleeping in the back
>>
>>28977493
Just buy a Ranger or Bronco, you're never getting it in the US.
>>
>>28977486
ahh, bummer

that looks pretty cool
