>>289790740_0How is this even legal in 2026 ?
>>28979061>redlines at like 4700rpmLmao what an absolute turd
>>28979081>his engine doesn't make torque bellow 4k rpm>runs out of torque after 4500rpm
>>28979080it literally isn't in developed countries
>>28979083>his engine makes poo all power because it only revs to 4700rpm
>>28979061>1/min>x100
>>28979061The only reason to ever tolerate Volkswagen or Seat's cheap ass everything else that comes around it
>>28979061To realize how pathetic of a cope this is you have to compare it to other aspects of life.Imagine someone bragging about saving money by renting a room instead of their own apartment. Or someone buying a 50 pound bag of rice and eating nothing else for a month.Or not turning on their heat all winter and being miserable just to save 200 bucks.
>>28979061EA888888888888888888888888
>>28979234Almost as pathetic as spending more than you have to on something just to brag about how not poor you are. I'm sure you use premium gas on all your cars, right? I mean, you're not poor or something are you?
>>28979262why wouldn't you use high octane? better fuel economy, less carbon deposits, more powerunless you drive some 40 year old shitbox?
>>28979263Lol
>>28979262So you just use plastic lawn chairs and a folding card table in your dining room?I mean, they function the same as an oak set but are a better financial choice, right?
>>28979263Higher octane burns slower. If an engine is designed for 87 and doesnt adjust timing for 93 then you actually produce less power by running higher octane.
>>28979288>rekt
>>28979288bold of you to assume i have a dining room, the floor of my bedroom is just as functional
ever notice people from countries who can afford a smallblock v8 never ever know or care about a vw engine
>>28979335You make jokes about it but stop for a minute and think about any other aspect in life where "efficiency" is the most desirable trait.
>>28979382>countriesIt's pretty much only America>>28979401Anon you need to stop projecting. YOU think the only reason anyone would get a diesel is because they want to save fuel. When you think of a diesel, YOU think of an old 6.7 clacking away towing a rusty old truck barely pushing 100 horsepower. YOU think they sound awful. And how could anyone think anything else than you do? They must be doing it for efficiency. And therefore you must convince them that there is something wrong with their philosophy. It's patronising, ignorant, and frankly, stereotypically American. Diesels are more fuel efficient, yes, but they also actually drive quite nicely and have noticeably more torque in day-to-day driving. They also tend to last longer than their petrol powered counterparts since they rev lower and need to be stronger by design. This also gives them fantastic tunability, and you can easily get a 30% increase in horsepower with completely stock internals and a tune. They are truly wonderful engines as long as you're not attached to going over 5k rpm.
>>28979430Cope piled on top of delusion.
>>28979288False dichotomy, more expensive chairs can differ in terms of durability, comfort, or even aesthetic value. On the other hand, paying more for fuel just because you can accomplishes absolutely nothing of value.

>>28979080>>28979105Where i live, despite us being a micro nation there is one of the few manufacturers that sells vehicles with the EGR blanked off from the factory. And absolutely zero emissions. So we still get common rail and all the good engine tech but no emissions.
>>28979061Which exact car is this?
>>28979290it also has slightly less energy density, so there's literally no point in running it in a low compression engine

Anybody have experience with tuning or helpful mods? I recently picked up an 06 Jetta wagon (mk4 body style) after my honda shitted and can't really be fucked to spend $500+ on apr or kerma
