Well it's about that time of the year,
How do you clean your shitbox?
What soaps do you use?
Technique?
Wax?
Ceramic coating?
How often do you clean?

I go to a touchless car wash and hose it down every two or three weeks.

Wait, you guys actually drive cars with decent paint? I thought this board was for poorfag shitbox owners...
>>

you can maintain even the paint on the shittiest of shitboxes with a bit of tlc as long as you keep the clearcoat from getting sublasted off

I mix some Optimum No Rinse with some water in a bucket dip a wash mitt in there and wipe the car down.

Then I dry it off before it dries in place leaving all the dirt there.

Sometimes I use black diamond polymer top coat and buff that in for a shine.

Best product for leather interior? I have a complete cadillac that's all black that I'd like to maintain properly.

Adam's Polishes has a "perfect interior" kit that's a bit pricey but it's the OEM approved cleaner by GM amd it comes with a leather conditioner
besides that there's also Cadillac Select

depending on the Caddy the owner's manual should advise you on how to clean the leather and many say to use saddle soap

Two-bucket method:
-Hose car down to lube it up
-Dunk microfiber mitt into soap bucket
-Wash one panel at a time, going top to bottom, split the roof into left and right passes
-Don't leave the soap on a panel in the sun too long, wash the panel down when finished
-Wash the mitt with high pressure from your hose
-Dunk mitt in water bucket and rub it
-Wash mitt off with hose again
-Dunk into soapy bucket
-Do another panel (repeat downwards until done)
-Clean the wheels by hand, maybe spray wheel cleaner
-Drive it for a bit to dry it off or use my leafblower or air compressor, I don't dry with towels, nothing should touch the paint without lubrication imo
-Mag / aluminum polish the exhaust tip
-Maybe wax / seal but eh, I'm usually too lazy
-RainX the windshield
Pic, my miat around 2014.

if it's decent quality leather, just use saddle soap and whatever leather conditioner from a cobbler. if it's good enough for your jacket/shoes/boots, it'll be good enough for a seat. otherwise, from my experience, sonax and adam's make decent leather cleaners/conditioners

I guess not
>>
foam it with prewash
rinse with pressure washer
foam it with NMS
either rinse again and dry (4/5 times) or wipe/agitate with mitt and then rinse and dry if grime is really sticking
touch your paint as little as possible
>>
I am really shit at it. Somehow stains from the wash always remain.

what water to chemical ratio do you use, is your water particularly hard, and are you washing soon after driving/in the sun?
>>
-rinse with pressure washer, get all the dried worm shit on the skirts off
-cover car with foam cannon
-fold 6 microfiber towels and put into bucket of soapy water
-use one towel per side of car, flip folds around to expose fresh faces per panel, always wipe in straight lines, never swirl, finish using the towel by cleaning a wheel and discard into laundry bucket
-rinse car with pressure washer
-blow dry car with leaf blower
-finish drying with microfiber towel
-wipe on ceramic wax with another towel

>RainX the windshield
Treating windows makes such a huge difference. I hardly have to use my wipers at times.
I like your Miata. How's daily life with the lip? I'm thinking of getting the same one.

I'm considering trying some of that spray on ceramic wax stuff.
I keep a bottle of mother's instant detailer and bug/tar/birdshit remover along with a roll of shop towels and a couple micro fiber rags in the trunk. Just to take care of little things here and there. It's important to remove poop quickly with single stage paint. Learned the hard way.

I've lost motivation over the years to have an immaculate car all the time. Haven't even vacuumed in years.

Unfortunately that miat got sent to the shadow realm by an Explorer 7 years ago. Have an NB now. The lip never caused any issues, if there was a parking block or curb I’d just not pull up that far. Was at stock ride height so that helped.
