I HATE PARKING! I'M SO BAD AT IT!
do you drive a FWD or RWD car
>>28980312rwd
>>28980309wow, that's both the easiest and safest part of driving. desu you should surrender your license if you struggle with it, the rest of your driving is probably even worse.
>>28980309post boobs
>>28980326no it's actually where the most accidents happen. just like in plane crashes most accidents happen during takeoff and landing
>>28980326yes it is easy if you drive a smart or something small. complete different story in a large car you cant see the front and always have to park in reverse
>>28980334>no it's actually where the most accidents happenfor people that are retarded, elderly, or not paying attention to what they're doing, yes>just like in plane crashes most accidents happen during takeoff and landingthere's nothing correlative between the two, plane crashes at takeoff are almost always primarily caused by weather or mechanical failure, pilot error usually isn't the primary cause. if you hit a car pulling into or out of a parking space, that is 100% operator error. also, comparing operating a plane to operating a car is insane, you're a moron for even trying to compare the two.
>>28980309I parallel parked from the passenger seat before bc woman moment
>>28980309modern 360 cameras help a lot.
>>28980336my crown vic is a '90 and therefore it has tiny mirrors that don't even stick out past the widest part of the body so I've just kinda had to get a "feel" for how I'm parking it over time. my first year owning it though, people probably thought I was drunk whenever I got out, lol
>>28980462it is. mine only has a reverse cam and I'm going to fit an aftermarket front camera.
OP is a woman
>>28980309Learn how to reverse park. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes a breeze to park. You'll also impress the normalfags who can't reverse a car into anything.
>>28980498i second this. bought a truck after driving subcompacts my whole life and i still can't front park that mf, but back parking is trivial and gives more room for other people driving through the lot.
>>28980309backing in is much easier than pulling in.Pulling out afterwards is also way easier than having to back out insteadJust watch your mirrors, keep your left and right corner between the obstacles on each side (2), once you're straight use the camera for the rest (3)It's really easy if you take your time to wrap your head the process around once or twice
>>28980509I know an even better trick (traffic school teacher pbuh) which is easiest if you already have two cars between an empty spot. Simply drive half way through the car in front, turn maximally away from that car until the car behind is visible in the other mirror. Then turn maximally towards the closer car and reverse. All you need is some minor adjustments through the side mirrors to park like a king.
>>28980506>gives more room for other people driving through the lot.Oh boy..this shit again.. STOP BACKING IN
>>28980509 STOP BACKING IN
>>28980519>blah blah blah NO
>>28981001>>28981002Fuck you nigger. The only time I don't back in is when I pull through from the other aisle.
>>28981021 STOP BACKING IN!!!You can't even cite a legitimate rationale.>muh, it saves me time on the ExitIt's a NET wash,as the parking consumed more time.
>>28981001The truck redneck was at fault in every way here.
>>28981030>but but but STOP BACKING IN!!!
>>28981025>>28981045>ree ree ree reeI will continue to back in. Not just with my work truck (F-550 with utility box that has very poor visibility backing out of a space) but also with my work beater (honda fit) and my motorcycle (nc700)
>>28980309I guess girls and cars don't mix
>>28981091>I will continue to...operate irrationally.>very poor visibilityCreeping out of a parking space is objectively safer than Backing into one.You also spend less time blocking the flow of traffic.
>>28981499>Creeping out of a parking space is objectively safer than Backing into one.I agree! That's why I back in, so I can safely creep out when I'm ready to leave.>You also spend less time blocking the flow of traffic. It's going to be blocked whether you back in or pull in! That's why it's called traffic!
>>28981499>objectively saferNo it's not retard, when you back into a space you have a sharper turn radius and you know exactly what you're backing into. When you back out of a spot there's impatient cars and people on their phones not paying attention to you as you're backing out semi blind. Just admit you suck at driving faggot
>>28981499>operate irrationally Projected the person ranting in all caps to stop backing in. Yep, you're definitely calm and rational. In fact, may I give you an upvote?
>>28981780>a sharper turn radiusImmaterial>you know exactly what you're backing into.Fair point>>28981637>It's going to be blocked whether you back in or pull in!You purposely omitted one key variable:Time. (fully impeding the flow of parking lot traffic)>>28981806>may I give you an upvote? No. STOP BACKING IN
>>28980338He's probably falsely attributing the fact that the majority of accidents occur within a certain distance of your home.
>>28981900It's easier to back in because the front end pivots around the corners of the other two carsIt's easier to then pull out since you can see traffic, also much faster so you don't hold up everyone else. Same as above, way easier to get around the other two cars which saves a ton of time>inb4 any (you)sI'm just using your retardation as a prop to educate everyone else
>>28981910>It's easier to back inSee here, retard >>28981001You're a menace to parking lots STOP BACKING IN
>>28981900>You purposely omitted one key variable:>Time. (fully impeding the flow of parking lot traffic)Just like when you pull out of a spot and people have to wait for you right? Let's run a thought experiment. Say it takes X seconds to pull into a spot, Y seconds to back into it. If you pull into it spot, it should take Y seconds to back out of it. And likewise, if you back into a spot, it should take X seconds to pull out of it. Since X+Y = X+Y, there's no difference in time at all! Therefore I will be backing in
>>28981968>when you pull out of a spot and people have to wait for you right?No.1. You creep out (not blocking lane)2. You check for traffic (still not blocking lane)3. You exit the parking space when no traffic present>Let's run a thought experiment. Invalid.See above.
I let my Tesla auto park
>officer, that man went past a spot and then DROVE BACKWARDS to get to it>arrest him
>Just pull in retard !!!!>Okay now what do I do when I leave
point the car so that you have a wide-angle camera view of cross traffic when exiting, or if you have no camera then it doesn't really matter which way you park because you can't see through the suburban some bitch parked next to you anyway
>>28981980INSANE cope! You can't even evaluate basic math in your head!
>>28982002>>28981999>>28981995>>28981991>>28981982
>>28981025Whats up with all the fags on this board? Everything manly and sensible is being shouted down by these bug people RWD, real engines, manual transmission, backing into a park, speeding/enjoying a carI thought it was all just bait but it seems like a bunch of busriding jeets are shitting the place upInbefore dont back in, its fine I dont park near other people anyway suck it up faggot
>>28982055>RWD, real engines, manual transmission, backing into a park, speeding/enjoying a carMassive conflation. The topic of this thread is EXCLUSIVELY Parking.I agree with some of your other topics, however.
>>28982062Ok, backing in is to help secure my safety if I have to leave in a hurry for any reasonAs my father said, "you dont know who might try to pick a fight with you especially at the pub"
>>28982085>to help secure my safety if I have to leave in a hurry for any reasonOk, Bourne...Got some luggage to steal I guess..
>>28982096Thats a funny way of saying, "gee anon that's a great point"
this is one of the funnier trolls. the dedication to the bit is great >>28982052
>>28982163>the dedication to the bit is great1. Thanks for the appreciation2. STOP BACKING IN, as a practice.
>>28982170My work requires employees to back in. Both with personal vehicles in the company lot, and in all work vehicles.
>>28982176>My work requires employees to back in.Post all relevant Documents.Redacted of course...bullshitter
>>289821703. no u
