Tesla is the third most reliable luxury brand.
>>
I'm sorry, I don't believe those numbers.
It's not even about EVs or Tesla, there's no way that Toyotas reach 250k FIVE TIMES more than Mazdas (just one example). Both cars I've had over 250 were Mazdas, another over 200 was a GMC.

>>
>>28980702
No.
>>
>>28980702
Yeah, look at how little button slop there is.
>>
>>28980702
for europeans, the badge matters more than anything else. so yes, that is luxury. It has a badge that signifies status with a price that leads to exclusivity (teslas are primarily found in high income neighborhoods). they are luxury.
>>
>>28980711
>It has a badge that signifies status
No, it does not.
>>
>>28980676
all the porsche fags who claim porsche is reliable when less than 1% of them have ever even seen 200k miles.
>>
>>28980707
Minimalism is the antithesis to luxury
>>
>>28980713
they average tesla owner is a high income earner, so by definition, it does.

In reality, it's high-debt earners who are submissive and easily manipulated.

REAL

abundance and excess is luxury. That's why all the beautiful cars of old had crazy chrome all over and intricate details and a plethora of features, and massive size.
>>
>>28980720
you're coping really hard. in your mind, nothing but shit that comes from europe can be luxury even if the very same people who once bought european luxury switch to tesla.
>>
>>28980676
Peoples should be posting these charts instead of the bogus shit from consumer reports. who cares how many """problems""" a car has. show me which ones can actually stay on the road.

First, I'm a degenerate, I don't give a flying fuck about luxury.
Second, what's luxurious about >>28980702 ? Anything?
You're coping so hard fr fr bro no cap.
I've had multiple cars over 250k miles, can you say the same, Imperial?
Picrel, doubling the price doesn't necessarily make something "luxurious."
>>
>>28980732
>doubling the price doesn't necessarily make something "luxurious."
to europeans it does. they literally equate price with something being a higher standard. european brands use this to sell shit with corvette quality at a much higher premium. but when tesla does it, it's just a ruse, right? I remember a thread where europeans were insisting keonigsegg is higher quality than a corvette C8. in what way? they cannot specify. they just mention that the keonigsegg cost a million dollars and therefore must be more luxurious with better materials etc.
>>
>>28980720
How's that $1500 a month F150 payment?

20+ years of hearing criticisms of Wikipedia and not a single one has been proven true. From professors saying anyone can edit it to someone recently telling me that they don't name the accused based on the race. You have failed.

Much more that I don't remember. At this point I have just accepted wikipedia as fact since its held up to all criticisms.

LMAO. Pottery.
>>
>>28980763
Peak! Tesla can't compete. They've never even offered a luxury ragtop.
>>
>>28980702
Less confusing buttons, more storage space, very simplistic, minimalistic easy to use design, clean white color scheme. Also, a frunk. What's not luxury about it?

lol GMC is still more reliable. The ones with engines blowing up at 5k miles.

I work for some extremely rich motherfuckers and none of them drive Tesla's. I only see tryhard Jeets driving Tesla's.

Rich people drive German (Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi). Not low quality Amerimutt iPhone cars that can't even pass car inspections.
>>
>>28980676
>Volvo
>2%
Old Volvos hitting 400k km is not a rare sight around here. This chart is made by Americans. You can tell.
>>
>>28980711
Tesla is mid range.
The association with high income people is mostly because those were EV early adopters.
>>
>>28981103
The rich guys I know that started with Tesla now drive BMW and Polestar EVs. Tesla has trickled down to cab drivers and shitbox buyers.
>>
The idea of a "luxury brand" is retarded.
Yes, Mercedes and BMW make luxury cars, but the average BMW 3 is a mid-tier car and not luxury, as is a Tesla.
This isn't bad BTW, they are still fine cars.
>>
>>28981103
most of the tesla owners surveyed said they would not go back to an ICE car. most of the EV early adopters still drive tesla.
>>
>>28981112
This, I have the same experience.
When you were rich 5 years ago and wanted a decent electric car (and not a Renault Zoe), you had to buy a Tesla, today you have tons of options.
>>
>>28981118
and everyone still wants tesla. the ones who can't afford tesla, get the "tons of options".
>>
>>28981124
Nah in Europe Tesla is losing its lead fast. Same in the upper class Chinese market. VW, BMW, Mercedes, Renault and Volvo are all slowly eating away at Tesla's lead. Mostly in the premium segment. Tesla is no longer the most cutting edge EV to get.
>>
>>28981124
No, definitely not.
I personally know a guy that ordered a Porsche to replace his old Tesla.
Most Teslas here are Model Y, which is a fairly muddle of the road EV at a decent price point, but nothing special.
>>
>>28981126
stats seem to suggest the opposite of what you're saying.
>>28981127
>I personally know X Y Z
yea, and I know a guy who replaced his bugatti with a corvette. but what matters here is stats, and the surveys and stats back up what i'm saying more than what you are. Tesla owners are the mos satisfied of any brand. they clearly are special and desirable.

>>
>>28981078
The guy might have a 911 as a weekend toy and his wife might have a G-Wagon but his daily driver is typically a luxury trim pickup or a Raptor/TRX. Most trophy wives seem to go for the Yukon Denali's for some reason.

>>28981078
notice how the only thing these people can come up with is anecdotes. I wonder why.
>>
>>28981138
That shows their sales dropping off though. Which is especially damning as EV sales have grown 20-30% YoY
>>
>>

Take a bus ride to one of your rich neighborhoods and take a walk around if you don't believe me.
>>
>>28980686
>>28980676
what does it even mean to reach 250k miles (400k km). whats allowed to have been fixed and changed on the car? Do total engine rebuilds count? If so why cant any car last indefinetely?
>>
I almost want to just buy a Maserati and keep it alive to be the outlier.
>>
>>28981086
>Old Volvos
There's the kicker. Volvo is Chinese now. The Redblock is long dead.
>>
>>28981333
Volvo is better off owned by Chinese than the Americans. Geely is pouring so much cash on them that Volvo is suddenly one of the industry leaders in electrification.

The real tragedy of Volvo was gunning so hard for diesel and then the PHEV fraud. They should've gone from petrol directly to EV. Their pure petrol engines were some stuff of legends.
>>
>>28981256
>line going up shows their sales drop off

Yeah, sure they were buddy. Because having a 4.4 Yamaha V8 in the S80 and XC90, and producing the S60R and V70R was terrible, right?
>>
>>28981440
Yes correct. V8s have no place in a Volvo. It's not at all in their identity.

>>
>>28980676
Damn that’s sad, people consider the quality of Tesla as luxury.
>>
>>28980717
The vast majority of Tesla here in the shitty state of CA are model 3s, these are not high income people relative to CA metro cities demographic.
Maybe the first few years of Tesla’s initial company launch where they only had the model s and whatever model name did they cater/aimed towards the higher income earners i.e. eco green rubes from Silicon Valley.

Why do people not care that europe gives you the same kind of """quality""" experience? Ferrari is considered a luxury brand and their luxury GT cars that are meant to be comfortable long distance cruisers are compared to crown vic police interceptors in terms of squeaks, rattles, and material quality.
