How feasible is it to buy a car with a known weakness like plastic parts and replace them with metal

Might only cost 1-2K in parts and make the car last 50-100K longer

Why don't BMW owners do this immediately upon buying the car? Then you can beat on it forever without thinking about it. I want that mental relaxation freedom
