>>28982120The dealer isn't going to significantly reduce the price. You should expect to pay what it's listed for.
>>28982134$8,500 seems OK, but he has alot of police interceptors and there are also alot of other dealers that have them, so I was wondering if I could get it down to $7k.
>>28982138>$8,500 seems OKWhat?10 years old and beaten to hell and back.$3000 MAX
Assuming there’s no frame damage from the recorded accident, that seems like a fairish price. Those things look scary as hell, but the 3.7 does the same claimed 0-60 as my non-vvt NB Miata. (7.5 sec)
>>28982138He won't take that low because comparable Taurii (2015-16 Interceptor w/ less than 90K) are all in that price range so he knows he'll sell it to somebody. You'd probably have to open at 8K to be taken seriously and figure on something in the middle to close.
>>28982159Do you think he would take $8k out the door?
>>28982120>police interceptorIt's fucked, no doubt.
>>28982164I could see somebody taking that deal so give it a try. Worst he can say is no.
>>28982166Aren't highway miles easy on the engine?
>>28982175It's either been idled until asked to intercept or cold started in to full throttle every time, either way that was a working vehicle and as an interceptor I'd expect the dept got rid of it for mechanical reasons rather than economic.
Cop car with real rear seats?Either it was a detective's car or they re-did the interior. Detectives probably idle less than traffic enforcement. All the Crown Vics and Explorers I've been thrown in have those hardass plastic benches.
>>28982120This bit is all you needed to paste from the address bar.https://www.cargurus.com/details/446625050You need to find out what the idle hours on the car are. Cop cars record how many hours the engine runs, some of them idle for thousands of hours without getting very much mileage on them and they're thrashed. You want less than 5000 hours on the engine. The less the better. Figure 1 idle hour equals 33 miles of driving, so 5000 hours would be the equivalent of 165,000 miles on top of whatever you see on the odometer.
