What the hell???

Why aren't Euros buying their own cars???

I'd kill for a BMW!
>>
>>28983868
Euros are poor, China makes cheaper cars that are loaded with modern features.
>>
>>28983868
Euros are obsessed with being poor. They invent completely nonsensical taxes to be even more poor. It's a religion to us.
>>
>>28983868
Yeah but i'm still down 20% on their stock. All these sales news reports are paid puff advertising whilst the company makes no actual commercial success.

You need to step back and look at the cost of importing oil, both in terms of real resources and geopolitical pressure imposed upon Europe as a result of being such a massive energy importer. If you can't function with X amount of oil as things currently stand and you can only get X amount of oil from Russia, the US, or the Middle East, then beyond the price being negotiated, those sources may impose additional terms upon you. It also sends your currency outside of your law (territory) and the new holder of that currency may not be interested in simply using it to buy a reciprocal amount of your exports. They may prefer to simply buy up large portions of your countries instead.

So the question is not whether Europeans make good internal combustion engines, it's whether that fact outweighs the other factors.

the politicians are rich though and they are the ones inventing ever more taxes to keep the poor poor while importing cultural enrichment from africa and the middle-east
>>
>>28984022
Damn I'm so glad Europe has such a huge supply of domestic lithium reserves.
>>
>>28984073
Suomi-chads win again
>>
>>28984073
Right, it's all a trade off. Maybe they don't have enough lithium. Maybe they do. Even if they don't, the equation might still work out in their favor. Of course there are also batteries made out of sodium, they aren't as good, but maybe they can be good enough for most people. I don't know.

I'm just trying to explain that the situation is not as simple as comparative advantage.

Europeans are cucked by globohomo. They have no concept of nationalism, they actively avoid it and think they are being virtuous lmao.
>>
>>28984073
Don't forget about all that battery manufacturing expertise we have in Europe.
>>
>>28983868
Shut up leaf. You posed this on /pol/. If china number wan then go the fuck back there chinksect.
>>
>>28983868
This mostly applies to shitbox countries like Slovakia and UK. Relevant countries buy good cars.
>>
>>28984008
Either completely retarded or they do it on purpose
>>
>>28984093
It's funny hearing about how Europe "has metals/rare earths" when it costs x10 more to extract than what they're worth. And this doesn't include refining.
>>
>>28984008
>not even 10% after a decade astroturfed shill campaing
Winny poo lost his oportunity window and the eu will implement draconic protectionist import laws in the comming years, that already surfaced

The biggest sink is bldcs and bmw proofed the world that it can be done without neodymium
>>
>>28984073
Lithium is cheap as hell compared to oil, and a supply shortage doesn't impact the cars on the road.
>>
>>28983979
Now look up disposable income you wikipedia using retard
>>
>>28984073
Non issue, they aren't the ones making the batteries, they don't have to buy lithium.

They were at 2% of sales at the beginning of 2025.

Lithium is also not a fuel source

>Why aren't Euros buying their own cars???
European cars are luxury priced, so people can't afford them, simple as that, have in mind that most of the EU has average wages under 2k€, and the most common wage being more into the 1k than 2k.
Even a fucking clio or 208, or a yaris are over 20k now for something with hybridation, over 15k for a gas only car, chinks are selling 13k€ cars that aren't tiny so you can fit the whole family inside or even yourself if you're tall.
Here in pandereta country, the average sold car is literally over 17yo and second hand, and those are already over 5k€, hell, a much worse version of my father's 307 with a 90hp engine and not the 100hp one is being sold for over 3k now and they're literally 20yo cars.
>>
>>28984008
The EU exists to destroy europe for the benefit of judeoamerica
>>
>>28984479
That will plummet again, all the poorfags can now get a german second hand since buiseness leasing flooded the used market. Did you know goymoney is subsidizing high earners to get a new bev every years? No, a high earner doesnt even consider chinkshit
>>
>>28984210
They are communists, so of course they do it on purpose.
>>
>>28983868
If all that slave-labour and geo-politics only gets you 10% id say you lost.
>>
I'm about to get a french c5x produced in china. Come at me.
>>
Japanese have had over 10% of the car sales in Europe since the 80s.
>>
>>28984930
I like how Japan is losing market share everywhere around the world. They used to dominate the shit out of SEA.
>>
>>28985374
The Chinese caught up to them.
The Japanese car makers also invested heavily into FCEV, something even their own citizens aren't buying. They had a head start into hybrids (Prius) and BEVs (Leaf, i-MiEV) and squandered it. In the long run they're going to lose the domestic market.
