>>28984088Part of the reason is because to get the official production car world record you have to meet two basic standards: 1. The car used has to be an actual production model. As in you should be able to replicate the performance with another car in the production without needing to modify it. 2. It can't be a single run. What they do is have the car run in both directions of the wind. With the wind for one attempt, and against for another. Then the top speed is calculated by the average of those two runs. Also both runs must be done within an hour of each other.
