I am trying to top off my cars AC system.2014 Camry. I bought a can of R134a.Currently its blowing cold air about 20% of the time. I do not see any leaksI hooked up one of those Amazon AC pressure gauge filler thingy to the LOW side, and its reading 90PSI. It should be 45PSI max. I did not puncture the can yet.I ran the car for a bit, the pressure did not go down. is the gauge broken or am I doing something wrong?
What’s wrong with your hands?
>>28984283>Goyotathere's your problem
The car and the compressor have to be running when you read the gauge. If the compressor isn't on, then the pressure equalizes across both ports. Is it only cold when moving? because that would be a condenser fan not working.

>>28984386Okay well assuming that when you tested the pressure you had the car running with a/c on max and know that the compressor was running.. I'm more or less educated guessing here as I am not an a/c tech I am merely a parts monkey. But this could be a leak which has let air in and it's tripping high pressure shut off, or a blockage of some kind like in the evaporator or orifice tube, or the compressor is failing and not creating a good enough pressure differential. It still could potentially be a condenser or fan issue if you haven't ruled that out. These systems are a real pain in the dick, once they fuck up you pretty much just rebuild the shit, orifice tube, evaporator, seal kit and get it vacuum re-filled.If you want it truly fixed and not beating your head against it an actual a/c tech is preferable.
>>28984283its illegal to do this shit yourself for a reason brokie, fuck off and pay someone to do it
>>28984283>is the gauge broken or am I doing something wrong?Yes.
>>28984649what is it tho?
If you can afford a fancy new car like that you can afford to take it to a professional
>>28984283Is the AC on full blast?
>>28985092This motherfucking TikTok DIY car hacks are gonna fuck up so many people's shit.
>>28984283>Amazon pressure gaugeIf you didn't notice this is your problem you need to kys private Sanchez
Nice gatekeeping, faggets
>>28984283Just push down on the connection to open it up you have to keep the valve pushed down or else it wont open
>>28986562It's not gatekeeping nigga, often times its not even lack of freon making an ac compressor not go on, could be as simple as a relay and people go dumping cans of rule 134a in there and overfill it, even if there is a leak its stupid to keep filling it because refrigerant is expensive as fuck as well as muh environment, so just fix your shit properly because it'll be cheaper in the end
>>28986564its openeed and pressurized. i wanted to see what the PSI was at before adding any freon.idk why its reading at 90psi tho>>28986658nta. see above, i wanted to check with a gauge if its low on pressure. its reading high. idk why. hence me asking here
