Be honest. It's insanely impressive for what it is.
>>
>>28986753
But who would ever prefer a million-dollar Mustang to a Lambo or Ferrari?
>>
not bad for a muttmobile. doesn’t hold a candle to a 911 though
>>
>>28986760
but it's faster than every 911 currenly.
>>
>>28986758
good thing it's not a million dollars and better than both of those.
>>
>>28986762

Ford Mustang that turns really well, it is hard to believe
>>
>>28986753
I would fucking hope it's impressive for a base price of $330,000
>>
Only indians drive these things where i live
>>
>>28986761
911s aren't about going fast, they're for larping, remember the "magic" of a classic 911 is literally just understeer
>>
>>28986771
true. every rich dude who knows nothing about cars just buys a 911 because the marketing told him It was the best. Porsche guys just larp as car guys. they don't care about driving and only buy the manual cars as investments.
>>
>>28986753

idk what this is or how it's different from a regular mustang, but I think it looks cool.
>>
>>28986753
>insanely impressive
yes
>for what it is
It's a race car that costs three hundred thousand earth dollars
impressive is the absolute bare minimum of what it should be
>>
It's really not. They were only able to mimic GT3RS performance and still charge GT3RS money for it and also being limited production. That's not what being a mustang is about. The ZR1 is actually commendable by having that level of performance but being cheaper and more attainable. That's what American cars are supposed to do. If it's only as fast as a German car and costs as much as a German car then why buy it over a German car. Not that anyone can actually buy a GTD anyway
>>
>>28986830
>then why buy it over a German car
Because it's a limited production special, not just another 911
>>
>>28986753
It's barely faster than a 10 year old Viper and costs more than a ZR1 corvette, it's not impressive at all
>>
>>28986753
Why does it weigh so goddamn fucking much?
>muh racecar based carbon bodied supercar
>4400lb
>>
>>28986753
Not really. It isn't remotely impressive when limited production supercars that cost more than a quarter million dollars are fast. It's expected, not impressive. Being impressed that some mid six figure halo car is fast is like being impressed that a big city has a lot of people in it.
>>
>>28986775
>and only buy the manual cars as investments.
and they need to be beheaded for this
>>
>>28986753
>Mustang GTD on Track 4.jpg
they make diesel mustangs now?
>>
>>28986753
It's not impressive given the $500,000+ price tag and the fact it's not street legal.
They keep claiming it's legal, but it's running on preproduction tires you can't buy.
They claim it's $300K but private buyers have posted their paperwork and it's all 1/2 a million +
>>
>>28986830
i didn't know there were rules for what american cars should and shouldn't be.
>>28986920
i know someone who bought his for under $400k and drives it on the street.
>>
>>28986964

>>
>>28986948
It's not 500k, it costs less than a gt3 rs, and it is street legal, dumb fuck euro-peon please stop typing anytime
>>
>>28986895
super cars usually aren't fast at all for a quarter million dollars. they don't start being fast until you spend a million, which is why this is impressive. a quarter million dollar ferrari is Z06 performance. a quarter million dollar mustang, is the 2nd fastest track car in the world.
>>
>>28986761
I see literally 4 different 911 models that are faster.
and a bunch of mercs and even 2 vettes lmao
>>
>>28987053
you see 4 911 models that are faster than 6:40? what are they.
>>
>>28986977
can see why the lotus carlton/omega caused so much seethe back in its day

>6:40 nice try
>>
>>28986964
Of course there's rules and you know there's rules. If Ford made a package for the Dark Horse that put it on par with the M3 CS but also charged 120k for it, it would be a joke. You get the American car because it's almost as fast but cheaper. If you're spending 120k on a mustang you're getting the GT500, oh sorry, the Dark Horse SC because while it costs as much it has way more power.

Not a euro fag gay boy.
The tires Ford used to set their lap records didn't have DOT stamps on them.
You did you not notice they were trying to hide any shots showing what tires they were running?

I've run non DOT race tires before.
They were 3.7 seconds faster than the CRS V2s I ran before.
Insane levels of grip when you throw away all the DOT tests tires have to pass

it's basically a homologated gt3 car that actually outperforms the race car it's based on. you're being a contrarian faggot and applying arbitrary rules that in your feeble mind invalidate it's impressiveness. i don't care. when every performance car is an awd plug-in hybrid turbo 4 cylinder or fully electric you'll regret not liking this here ford.
>>
>>28987117
But those rules DO invalidate its impressiveness. It's a $350k car that performs exactly like another $350k car. That is by definition not impressive. When it's a $250k car that performs like a $350k car, that's impressive. Was it "impressive" when Hyundai made a $38k sedan that performed exactly like another $38k sedan? Was it "impressive" when Chevy made a $65k truck that performed exactly like another $65k truck? It's not impressive to do the thing that you're expected to be able to do.
>>
>>28987153
>It's a $350k car that performs exactly like another $350k car.
the average 350k car is only as fast as a Z06 C8. the mustang GTD being the second fastest track car in the world for 350k when the faster AMG Project one cost a million dollars and requires an engine rebuild every 20k miles is highly impressive.

never mind the fact that this is still a mustang at the end of the day. a heavy pony car at its core. most 350k cars are dedicated exotic carbon fiber mid engine super cars.

>>
>>28986753
sounds weird but I think it's a good car because it's not a lambo or ferrari. Like I think you can drive this to anywhere even to grocery stores with a peace of mind, which I know sounds funny and prob irrelevant to ppl that might buy lambo or ferraris

expensive under performing european car bad. mustang that actually sets out to be a world beater good.
>>

slower than a Porsche that costs less and raped by a corvette that was driven by a retard
>>
>>28987575
which one of those did 6:40.
>>
>>28986872
>because it's a mustang with extra steps
that's not a convincing argument though.
>>

It's an American anon.
>>
>>28987579
they're actually selling well so it seems it's convincing someone.
>>
>>28987581
I can't find any public sales records, but I can see they've only made 159 this year to date, can't be doing that well if they aren't admitting how many have sold.

Once again

they made quite a bit more than that. if this isn't a sales success, then what would be an example of a "good" selling limited edition car?
