>>28987793Looks to me like the rod inside his transmission broke on the first one. You can see the truck being stationary and then suddenly break loose. That rod in the transmission isn't made to hold a truck at an incline like that. It will break at some point which it apparently did here.

>>28988868Putting it in park makes a little tooth grab into one of the gears inside your transmission. If there's too much load (like on a hill) that tooth/rod can break off and you'll get a result similar in those webms. On even ground it may work but it needlessly puts strain on your transmission and again, can go wrong if the road isn't as even as you think it is.

>>28986856My guess is because they have been driving those trucks at freezing cold temperatures on salted roads. They have sometimes left parking brake on for days without driving their vehicles. Then as result of freezing cold temperatures, dirt, salt+ corrosion caused the parking brake to get frozen on. One or two Experiences of this parking brake freezing on issue is what makes some people allergic against using parking brake. They dont understand that this issue is preventable by cleaning and relubricating the parking brake mechanism from brake caliber(s) every few years(specifically in older cars) before winter begins.
