The final, transcendent, four-wheeled automotive whitepill
>>28987293I have the Cross variant, I can't complain.
>>28987311If the base hybrid was like 4 grand cheaper and Toyota dealerships weren’t jewish this would be the one
>>28987293Its like if rudimentary AI copied a Renault Zoe.
This is a Zoe from Renault
>>28987328Yeah I didn't like that it was more expensive than the sedan/hatch, but (atleast in my market) it had the newest hybrid system from the Prius with the 2.0L, and the sedan/hatch had the older with 1.8L, if I'm remembering correctly.I also liked the higher ground clearance and seating position, and more storage space.
>>28987335You gotta get your eyes checked brother
>>28987341Burgers don’t get the hatch, a car that aggressively rational cannot exist here
>>28987345Aw you know what? I couldn't care to notice that was a newer gen. THIS is the one toyota totally ripped the Renault design for
>>28987355That Toyota came out 4-5 years before the Zoe you posted, here's a contemporary one. It's kinda similar if you squint, but the basic design is so unbelievably bland that it's much more likely they just both ended up making similar boring cars.
>>28987311Gay
>>28987391:(
>>28987293These things are soulless trash unfun trash jeet carriers, I'd rather a Jetta or Civic if I was buying a base model shitbox, they at least have carrier and are worth the 10% hit in reliability.
>>28987293That's not the Civic.
>>28987293>white pillwhat did he mean by this?
COROLLA BEST CAR EVER!!!I love my 1.6 4cyl engine!!!! YESSS
>>28987293My car ended up in the shop for a month on engine problems, so I rented a car for a couple of weeks, ended up with a 2026 Prius. I understand why people like these toyota boringmobiles now. they practically drive themselves, all you need to do is steer, and they don't even sip gas, they sip the smell of the gas. I filled up the tank once when gas prices were like $4.30-ish where I live, I filled up the tank for $25 after all of my use and abuse.I'm still driving my old commuter shitbox, but I know what I'm going to buy next once that breaks down.
>>28987328you can get the gas with fd only for simplicity. the normal corolla can( at least last time I checked a couple of years ago) be had with hybrid AND fwd only which is very simple. if toyota would have done what they do now a decade or more ago, which is allow the hyrbid powertrain in the entire lineup, hybrids would have taken over. they perfected it long ago, but most people didn't buy because it was only in the ugly prius.
>>28987814>boomer soijak.png
>>28987403>jeetaDisposable fwd only spic built torsion beam dogshit that blows up at 50k miles>civic$5k too expensive fwd only amerifat built rattlebox (at least it has proper rear suspension)
>>28987375Looks Jewish.
>>28987293based. this is my next purchase. the thinkpad of cars.
>>28988905Thinkpads arent that overrated, and thinkpads are overrated
>>28987814If you really care about efficiency and have a garage, you should take the EV pill. I recharge mine overnight for roughly 0-5 cents per kWh. Also, no maintenance to speak of. t. Ioniq 6
>>28988908ThinkPads are popular for a reason: they're cheap, reliable, and will last you years. Same goes for Corollas.
been looking at a 2017 with the 1.2 VVT-i engine.Just worried about the longevity of the engine.Realistically, can you do big mileage in these things?
>>28988917Used to be that way, but ever since Lenovo took over the brand that hasn't been true. The only reason why it keeps being the business laptop is through contracts and inertia.>>28988926It's alright, the NA engine is more reliable, and like most modern engines they have issues with carbon build up and need an EGR cleaning, but otherwise remain ok.
>>28988941>Used to be that way, but ever since Lenovo took over the brand that hasn't been true.Lenovos are fine. The trick is not running Windows.
>>28988917toyotas are not cheaptoyotas are not reliableanything will 'last you years'tldr, kool aid bullshitalso FUCK YOU
>>28988959>toyotas are not cheapThey are cheap.>toyotas are not reliableThey are reliable.>anything will 'last you years'Especially Toyotas, if you take care of them.
>>28988961>if you take care of them. That's the big one. There's a ton of people paying $20k for clapped out Toyotas purely on reputation and wondering why their expensive shitbox is burning oil or blowing up.Honda and Toyota attracts a ton of retards who think vehicle maintenance is something that happens to car guys, so they don't bother fixing the car at all. Tesla is also equally bad, it attracts people who treat it like a refrigerator and are shocked when autopilot crashes in the rain because they haven't replaced their bald tires 30k miles past their wear marks.
>>28988909>t. Ioniq 6It's incredibly efficient, but the TCO is staggeringly high for transportation. For someone that is trying to save money on a car, range and energy efficiency are a small part of the overall picture. The purchase price alone sets a high floor.I ask myself this question a lot too, and the only real way for me to accept a car on fuel economy merits alone is if I commit to a $2000 Prius, $2000 battery refurbishment, and own a vehicle that gets under 20 mpg. Right now, Priuses don't get that cheap, and even my older car gets 25 mpg when I drive like an asshole. It's under the fleet average of 28 mpg but it was so cheap to buy that a new car makes zero financial sense. For me to replace my current Mazda 5 on TCO merit alone, the Ioniq-6 would need to operate flawlessly and without degradation for about 67 years. EVs don't last this long, so I burn dinosaur juice.
>>28987814>>28988909Yeah, this >>28989063 guy has my equation down pat. I'm the faggot with the rented prius, something I left out of my story is that I was looking into replacing my 16 year old shitbox before I chose to go the repair route, and I was looking at electric vehicles for a second too. Doing the math it was far more economic to do an engine rebuild and keep my shitbox for a few more years instead of buying something newer. So now I'm just in full saving mode, hopefully in 3 years I'll be able to get myself into something that's 15-20K cash and move on with my day, but it'll certainly not be full electric. I'm willing to go hybrid with a Prius because Toyota hybrids have proven themselves to be tanks depiste the funny looking cars, both inside and out.
>>28988978>Honda and Toyota attracts a ton of retards who think vehicle maintenance is something that happens to car guys, so they don't bother fixing the car at all.Just RTFM. It's so easy.
>>28987293>whitepillthis nigger talkin about oxys. Get the fuck outta here
